Chapter 164

It was morning and the day Alexander would finally leave.

Amelia tried so hard to withhold the tears that threatened to fall out of her eyes. It was quite difficult to do that, because almost immediately, she broke into soft tears.

“I’m sorry I’m crying…I just miss you already”, she said and pulled him into a soft.

That didn’t seem to be all though. She was both scared that Alexander might be unsafe at the mansion. She was scared for his life and what One might be up to if she doesn’t get what she wants.

“I love you”, Alexander whispered and pulled her into a tight hug.

“I will visit you as often as I can. I just need to ensure that things keep running over there in the city”, he said and beamed at Amelia who nodded in understanding.

After what seemed like ages, he finally entered the car and drove off, feeling kind of lost and as though he just left a piece of himself behind. That was the best decision for him…to keep her and the baby away from whatever situation that might arise
