Amelia’s Pov

I had no idea of what to do or think about the new phase I had agreed to start. Somehow, I understood what he was driving at, even if I was still scared.

Deep down, I felt that he might wake up one day and decide to discard me forever. Mere thoughts of that sent cold shivers down my spine.

“I would go take a walk”, I said as I disentangled from him and slowly walked out of the room.

He sighed in relief and that made me smile. I knew he loved me, but I had doubts…perhaps because I wasn’t so good with experiencing happiness.

One was sitting by the garden and lost in thoughts. For a minute, I stayed still to observe her current state. She looked worried and at the same time, excited.

Taking in a deep breath, I walked over to her and sat beside her.

“What are you so lost in?” I asked and she jerked out of her thoughts, slightly frightened.

“Nothing…am I not allowed to have thoughts of my own?” She asked and quickly darted her eyes away from me.
