Alexander’s Pov

I quietly walked out of the kitchen, still trying to question my plans and decisions. I understood that she didn’t see any reason or need in what I said, but I was only after her safety.

“Just leave me alone!” Her voice rang in my ears again and my heart

She was totally displeased with my plan and I could see this from how flat she started responding to me.

“Just go!”, she said and hurriedly went on with chopping the vegetables.

My heart was totally heavy as I tried so hard to think of what to do. I was pained as well, but I truly hoped that she would understand.

Just then, she cut herself and it started bleeding. I rushed over to her, but she pushed me aside with the excuse that she could handle things herself.

I caught sight of tears in her eyes and this shattered my heart. When I couldn’t take it anymore, I decided to give her some space.
