- The Past -

It was already past 3 PM in Sabrah, a place ruled by the oldest and strongest witches in the world—the Carellos.

Aster, with sorrowful eyes, stood in front of her mother’s casket—Lady Vienna. She was the only family Aster had, the one who loved her most, and her protector.

Aster had been just a baby when Lady Vienna brought her to the coven. The family had objected to her decision to adopt a human, but she insisted and took full responsibility.

Lady Vienna was a respected and powerful witch in the coven, second only to her sister, Queen Vantessa. Because of this, the elders allowed the adoption—on one condition: if Lady Vienna died, Aster would have to leave the coven.

Lady Vienna’s death was somehow linked to Aster. The family blamed her, but the truth was that her mother had only been trying to save her.

It happened three days after Aster’s 18th birthday. She had lost consciousness and awoke as a completely different person—speaking in an unknown language, not recognizing anyone, and reacting aggressively to anyone who approached.

This continued for three days. Growing increasingly concerned, Lady Vienna suspected witchcraft and prepared for a ritual to bring her daughter back.

The ritual was scheduled for the fourth night, under the full moon. It began smoothly, but after the final chant, Lady Vienna’s body succumbed to death. A mysterious tattoo mark appeared behind Aster’s ear.

When Aster woke up, the family immediately blamed her for Lady Vienna’s death and told her she must leave the coven after the burial.

After placing a tulip on her mother’s coffin, she stepped away and left the private cemetery within the Carello mansion.

Her mother had left her a trust fund that she could use in case something happened in the future.

IN SANTOSSA CITY

A place that never sleeps—establishments and recreational areas were open 24/7. It was considered one of the happiest cities in the world.

It was a great place for opportunity seekers: jobs were abundant, and the universities were top-notch. But there was one rule to follow before staying in the city—cut all ties or relationships with any vampire, the sworn enemies of the Lycans.

The city was ruled by the oldest Lycan family—the Landons.

No vampires were allowed to enter the city.

"When I die, go to Santossa City and look for my friend Merca. She’ll guide you on what to do."

These words echoed in Aster’s mind as she traveled to the city. Her mother had said it to her countless times, almost as if she had already foreseen the future.

Lady Vienna had prepared everything—a huge trust fund to support her until she graduated, and enough money to start her own career. That was one of the reasons why the elites raised their eyebrows at her.

"Why would Lady Vienna spend her fortune on a mere human?"

That question lingered in hushed conversations.

In this world, the term elites didn’t refer to the wealthy, but to those with supernatural powers.

There were three ruling families:

The Vellaria family, vampires currently in hibernation—no one knew when they would wake.

The Landon family, the ruling Lycans of Santossa.

The Carello family, powerful witches, once led by Lady Vienna.

It was widely believed that an elite and a human could never produce offspring—their DNA was simply incompatible.

Only Lycans with Lycans, vampires with vampires, and witches with witches could produce children.

Crossbreeding between species—such as vampire to Lycan or witch—had been attempted in secret marriages throughout history. But they had never produced offspring. The DNA mismatch made it virtually impossible.

The chance of a successful hybrid was said to be one in a million.

It was 2 PM when she finally reached the restaurant where Merca had agreed to meet her.

Upon entering, a waiter ushered her to a VIP room where Merca was waiting.

After opening the door, the waiter immediately left.

Seeing Merca left Aster speechless. She looked like a goddess—an example of the perfect woman: elegant, beautiful, and charming. Even though she was already in her late forties, her beauty was exceptional.

But there was something else—something different about her. Her scent. It was the scent of a Lycan.

"Oh dearie, come here and eat with me. I know you must be tired and exhausted," Merca said, smiling warmly and gesturing for her to come in.

"No... I think I entered the wrong room. I need to go. I'm sorry, madam," Aster said, turning to leave.

"Wait! Hahaha, you really are Vienna's daughter. You already picked up my scent from that distance—fully trained, I see. Don’t worry, I won’t harm you. Vienna entrusted you to me. By the way, she was my best friend."

Aster paused, then slowly walked toward her.

"How can a witch and a Lycan be friends?" Aster asked.

"Well, come join me and I’ll tell you," Merca replied with a gentle smile.

Aster could feel it—there was no danger around Merca. Her instincts told her the woman was speaking the truth.

"I'm really sorry for your loss, dear. Vienna was my closest friend. I'm truly sad that I couldn’t attend her funeral... but you know the rules. We Lycans aren’t allowed inside the Carello compound," Merca said softly.

"She told me to look for you when she died," Aster replied.

"Oh yes, dear. But first, let’s eat before heading to your new place."

After sharing a meal and some light conversation, they made their way to a condominium building near the universities in the city.

Merca showed her the unit her mother had bought for her.

To her surprise, it wasn’t just a unit—it was the entire top floor of the building.

Fully furnished, complete with all necessities, and well taken care of, it felt like a true home.

Before leaving, Merca gave her a few tips on how to stay safe in the city and reminded her of the important rules. She handed Aster her phone number in case she ever needed help.

The next day, Aster enrolled at Santossa University.

She made a promise at her mother’s grave that she would become a doctor—to continue her mother’s humanitarian legacy.

Lady Vienna had also been a doctor in Sabrah. She helped everyone, never asking for anything in return. She often traveled to provide aid to those in need.

6:00 AM, Room 2931 Aster tried to open her heavy eyes. "So this is a hangover? Or the after-effect of the drug? Hmm..." she thought. "My head is so heavy, and my body is so sore." As the memories of the previous night slowly returned, her eyes widened. She glanced at the man peacefully sleeping beside her. "Oh shit! What have I done?" she whispered. Carefully, she slipped out of bed and quickly got dressed, trying not to wake the man. Before leaving, she looked at his face. "Well, at least he's good-looking… better than Dane," she murmured with a small smile. Then, she left the room in a hurry. --- Meanwhile… "Good morning, my lord. Has the drug worn off already?" Sean asked as he gently tried to wake Carl. "Hmm… where is she?" Carl muttered, trying to open his eyes. "Who, my lord?" Sean replied, confused. "The one you brought last night. The pretty one." "My lord, I think you're mistaken. I didn’t bring you a girl—you told me not to," Sean explained, puzzled. "What? Th

A well-dressed man in his late 30s entered the room and handed some folders to Carl. “Sean, are all the terms and conditions written down?” Carl asked. “Yes, my lord. Every detail you mentioned is included,” Sean replied, glancing briefly at Aster, who was sitting on the couch watching them. He nodded at her in a sign of respect before leaving the room. Once again, it was just the two of them in the room. “Here, read and understand all the conditions stated,” Carl said, handing her the file. Aster was in complete shock as she read through the details. “Oh no! I can’t marry you! I already have a boyfriend—this is insane!” she shouted hysterically. Carl laughed at her reaction. “Quit the drama, Aster. I’ve already done my research on you. I know everything—your body measurements, your past relationships… even Dane Bastre—Vanessa’s brother—is pursuing you, but you’ve rejected them all. You’re exactly what I need right now.” “What? The Next Morning Aster woke up with a spinning head and an unexplainable headache. She couldn’t remember anything from last night. “Ugh! A freaking hangover! I swear I’ll never drink alcohol again!” she mumbled. She immediately got out of bed to take a bath when she realized she was wearing her pajamas. Who changed my clothes last night? she wondered. Before she could think more about it, a call from the hospital diverted her attention. It was her secretary, reminding her about an event she needed to attend that day. It was the welcoming ceremony for the new president of the hospital. All department heads were required to attend and welcome the new leader. After Merca resigned as president of the Landon Company years ago, the hospital’s presidency had remained vacant—until now. “So, who’s the new boss?” Aster sighed. She thought maybe one of Carl’s siblings had taken over. She’d met them once during the wedding when Merca introduced them to her. Carizza, the same age as her, was

10:00 AM When Aster woke up, Carl was no longer in bed. She felt too embarrassed to get up—she didn’t know how to face Carl after their steamy night. A knock on the door interrupted her thoughts. It was one of the maids. “Madam, may I come in?” She agreed, still trying to find her clothes, but they were nowhere to be found. She remembered leaving them beside the door last night, but now they were gone. The maid entered with a fresh set of pajamas, a towel, and a tray full of food. “Young Master gave instructions before leaving—if Madam wakes up, serve her breakfast in the room,” she said politely. “Carl already left?” Aster asked. “Yes, my lady. The Young Master was fetched by the private plane early this morning. He needed to return to S Country immediately.” “Oh… okay. Thank you, you may leave,” Aster replied, feeling relieved that Carl was gone. She got up, cleaned herself, and finished the food on the tray. It had already been two weeks, and the last person who reportedly saw the rogue was now dead. They were back to square one. Carl commanded his Lycans to interview everyone in the small town, urging them to observe closely and report any unusual behavior. They would remain there for a while to monitor the area. He was about to go to bed when Vanessa entered his room. “Why are you here?” he asked without even looking at her. “Maybe I can help suppress your anger, my lord?” Carl turned to face her just as Vanessa dropped her silk robe, standing naked before him. She embraced him and whispered into his ear: “You can use me, my lord. Put your heir in my womb. I know you miss your wife—I can be her substitute. I can give you an heir. Aster’s Condition Aster's condition worsened as days passed, as if something was consuming her from the inside. The butlers and maids made sure she was well taken care of. Cane continued to monitor her situation, but today was different—he planned to transfer her to the old mansion’s clinic, which was fully equipped like a hospital to cater to the needs of the old master, Landon. She had already lost too much weight due to severe morning sickness. “Aster, may I have your permission to transfer you to the old mansion so that you can be properly treated? Your condition requires strict monitoring with machines,” said Cane gently. The pregnancy still hadn’t been mentioned to her. “Quit beating around the bush, Cane. I’m a doctor—I already know my condition. I’m pregnant, and my body is struggling to cope with the demands of carrying a growing Lycan in my womb,” said Aster, tears rolling down her cheeks. The early morning mist curled like ghostly fingers around the stone pathways of the hidden mountain estate—Carl’s second stronghold. Cloaked in secrecy and enchanted to repel outsiders, it was the only place where Maika could safely meet Cane, his brother and the elusive Lycan scientist known for his work in memory manipulation. Carl stood at the estate’s gates, arms crossed, waiting. Maika stepped out of the car, her long coat fluttering behind her. Her eyes met his with cautious determination. “Is he here?” Carl nodded. “Inside. But Maika... this isn’t without risk.” “I’m not afraid of the truth anymore,” she said, brushing past him. He watched her stride forward, shoulders squared, unaware that her courage carved open wounds in his heart. She was stronger than she knew. And he—he was terrified of what she would remember. • SEALED FATE   The Wedding of Malko

--- The Wedding of Malko Moonlight cascaded upon the towering spires of the ancient castle, bathing the landscape in a silvery glow. Within its grand halls, an unprecedented gathering of elites took place—Vampires, Lycans, and Witches stood side by side, once rivals, now witnesses to history in the making. Tonight marked the union of Prince Malko, heir of the Vampire Kingdom, and Anne, his chosen bride. The grand hall glittered with opulence. Candelabras dripped golden light from vaulted ceilings, and crystal chandeliers reflected the eerie glow of the moon through stained glass windows. Rich velvet banners lined the walls, bearing the ancient sigils of the vampire clans. At the altar stood Lord Valus, Malko’s father, his expression composed yet unreadable, a subtle warmth in his eyes. > “Dearly beloved, we gather under moon and magic to celebrate the eternal bond between Malko and Anne,” he declared. Malko stood tall, dressed in obsidian velvet, the silver embroidery on his col

To my ever-loving father, Dad, I know by now you're desperately searching for me. Yes, I was kidnapped, and my vampire abilities have been suppressed—but please, don’t worry. I’m okay. In fact, I see this as a blessing in disguise. I’ve begun to remember pieces of myself that I had long forgotten. I’m rediscovering who I truly am. For the first time in a long time, I feel alive again. I know this isn’t what you expected. I’m not ready for the wedding. I need more time—time to heal, to grow, and to find clarity. Please understand. I promise I will return when I am ready. Until then, trust me. I love you always. – Maika --- Valus stared at the letter, the parchment trembling slightly in his hands. He sniffed the trace of blood smeared on the seal—her blood—and closed his eyes, letting the scent reassure him. It’s Maika. It’s really her. He exhaled deeply, the weight of uncertainty lifting—only slightly. He ran a thumb across her familiar handwriting. Every curve of her letters b

Their elegance masks the undercurrent of tension brewing beneath the surface. At the center of it all stands Lady Merinne, a powerful vampire matriarch. Her piercing eyes scan the room, her expression a mixture of concern and simmering frustration. Across the ballroom, Lady Anne approaches Lord Valus, a distinguished vampire king whose very presence commands attention. She leans in close, her voice low and urgent. "My lord, have you heard? The entire elite community had been informed about the highly anticipated engagement of Maika and Valco. The news spread swiftly, reaching even the hidden corners of the supernatural world—including Carl. The moment Carl heard the announcement, a wave of pressure crashed over him. Time was slipping through his fingers. He had to awaken Maika’s memories before it was too late. Left with no other choice, he devised a risky plan and gave secret orders to his most loyal lycans. They were to act discreetly, leaving no trace behind. --- A few days later... Did you manage to make your uncles and aunts mad again?" he teased, carrying him toward the old mansion’s entrance. "No, Daddy," Caveen replied cheerfully, his small arms wrapped around Carl's neck. "I obeyed and listened to them." The boy’s innocent smile was a mirror image of Aster’s—Carl’s heart skipped a beat. His son was the spitting image of his mother. The resemblance was striking, the same sparkling eyes, the same joy-filled grin. Carl felt the weight of the past, memories of Aster flooding back—memories that both haunted and warmed him. As children born into the prestigious Vellaria Royal Vampire family, expectations for their future were sky-high. The ceremony was held at an opulent venue in the heart of A Country’s capital, shimmering with ancient charm and futuristic elegance. It drew an impressive crowd—nobles, entrepreneurs, dignitaries, and powerbrokers from various elite circles. The event opened with a speech from their parents, Lord Valus and Lady Merrine. Standing before the grand assembly, they spoke of their journey as leaders—of trials endured, victories won, and the vision they had for their heirs. Valus’s voice was firm, yet carried an undertone of pride. Merrine, graceful and poised, emphasized the values they had instilled in their children: discipline, courage, compassion, and an unwavering sense of duty to their people. When the tim

Present "Arron, did you research what happened to Maika and where Vienna is now?" Valus asked his assistant. "Sir, according to investigations, Lady Maika was found near the Lycan territory in Santossa. She died of blood loss, most likely from a werewolf attack. Records about her life as a human were carefully hidden by Lady Vienna—as if she never existed," Arron reported. "Where is Vienna? Why did she let Maika suffer?" Valus asked, though deep inside he knew Vienna would never let anyone hurt her daughter. "Lady Vienna died 13 years ago, when Maika turned 18. The mages blamed the girl for Vienna's death and exiled her from Sabrah." A stabbing pain pierced Valus's chest. So that’s it! That’s why Vienna had begged him to let her keep the newborn Maika. She knew that unsealing the spell would cost her life. She simply wanted to be with her daughter until the end. The curse died with the last black magic user. Though the twins were Vienna’s offspring, they never showed signs of sor
