Chapter 1 The Past

Its already past 3pm at sabrah, place ruled by the oldies and strongest witches in the world- the Carello's

Aster with her sorrowful eyes was still standing infront of her mother's casket, the Lady Vienna, the only family she had, the one who loved her the most, and her protector.

She was only a baby when lady Vienna brought her to the coven, the family objects her decision on adopting a human but she insist and take the responsibility to it.

Lady Vienna was a respected and one of the most powerful witch in the coven alongside her sister the Queen Vantessa thats why the elders permit it with a condition that if she died Aster would leave the coven.

Lady Vienna's death was somewhat related to her, the family blamed it to her but the truth was her mother only tried to save and bring her back. It happens 3days after her 18th birthday, Aster lost consciousness and woke up being completely different person, she spoke of unknown language, seems doesnt know anyone and aggressive to anyone who comes near her.

The happenings continued for 3 days, Lady Vienna became worried and suspects that witchcraft was involved so she gather her things for the ritual that can bring back her daughter.

It was scheduled on the 4th day when the moon was on its fullest, the ritual begins smoothly however after the last chant Lady Vienna's body succumbed to death. Leaving a tattoo mark in the back of the ear of Aster.

When Aster woke up the family blamed her for the lady's death, telling her to leave immediately after the burial.

After placing the tulip on her mothers coffin, she set her foot and leave the private cemetery inside the mansion of the Carellos.

Her mother leave her with a trustfund that she can use if something happens in the future.

IN SANTOSSA CITY,

A place that never sleeps, establishments and recreation areas where open 24/7 it was one of the happiest city in the world.

It was a great place for opportunity seekers, jobs were everywhere and universities are great but there is one rule to follow before staying at the city-to cut off all ties or relationship to a vampire, the Lycans enemy.

The city was ruled by the oldiest lycan family- the Landon's.

-No vampires were allowed to visit the city.

"When I die go to santossa city and look for my friend Merca she'll guide you what to do" - this always rings on the head of Aster as she travelled to the city, those were the words that her mother always tell her. Its like she foreseen the future already, she gave her a huge trustfund that she can use until she graduated and a money to start her own career, one reason why the elites raise their eyebrows on her. "Why would Lady Vienna spends her fortune to a mere human? "-this was always the question. why?

The elites were not the rich ones but the one with supernatural powers,

they were the Vampires, ruled by the Vellaria family who was at the moment on hibernation, no one knows when will they wake up.

The lycans ruled by the Landon family and the witches headed by the Carello family.

An elite and a human cannot produce an offspring it was not possible the DNA is different so lycans to lycans and vampire to vampire and witch to witch only can produce offspring.

For cross breeding of a vampire to lycan to witch was not possible, for centuries there was incident of hidden marriage between a vampire and witch, lycan and witch but they dont produce an offspring- their DNAs was not compatible so the chances of having a hybrid was 1 in amillion.

Its 2pm when she finally reach the restaurant where Merca agreed to meet her.

Upon entering, the waiter ushered her to a VIP room where Merca is waiting,

After opening the door the waiter immediately left. Looking at Merca makes Aster speechless, she's like a goddess, an example of a perfect woman, elegant, beautiful and charming, eventhough shes already on her late forties her beauty was exceptional

-but their was something in her- her smell is different-smell of a lycan.

" Oh dearie come her and eat with me i know your tired and exhausted" smiling at her while waving her to come.

" No i think i enter the wrong room I need to go. Im sorry madam"

" wait! Hahaha you really is the daughter of Vienna, You smell me already with that distance. Your fully trained dont worry I wont harm you. Vienna entrusted you to me, by the way she's my bestfriend"

Aster stops and walks toward her

" How can a witch and a lycan be friend? Aster ask

" We'll come here join me and I tell you" she smiled

Aster knows that the lady was telling the truth- she cannot sense any danger sorrounding Merca.

"Im really sorry for your lost dear, Vienna was my closest friend im really sad that I haven't attended her funeral- you know the reason that We cannot enter the compound of Carellos."says Merca.

" She told me to look for you when she die"

"Oh yes dear lets eat first before going to your place"

After eating they chatted a bit then rode to a condominium building near the universities in the city.

She showed the unit her mother brought for her,

It was located at the top most of the building, to her surprise its not a unit but the whole floor was for her,

its complete with all the necessities and well taken cared of.

Merca left after advising her the rules and keeping safe in the city, leaving her phone number in case she needed help.

The next day she enrolled to the Santossa University.

She made a promise to her mother's grave that she will become a doctor, to continue her humanitarian duties.

Lady Vienna was also a doctor in Sabrah she helps everyone without even asking something for return, she often travels to help those people who needed her.
