Jared watched the car drive away from the window. He did not know what to do next. He never expected he would reunite with her in this way. He's been separated from her for a long time and it took him over a year to find out what she has been doing with her life.

Since she did not want to see him, he didn't bother to come across her for four years. However, meeting her now has only reignited old memories that he thought he was going to forget. It was hard for him, now she made it harder.

What's even worse is that they spent the night together. If nothing else shakes him, this is enough to leave him wanting for more. He has never made a mistake of sleeping with any girl no matter how drunk he got.

He remembers asking her to drink with him because she looks so much like May. What happened next could be uncontrollable. His head hurts as he tried to remember what happened. He saw how good she looks with the blonde hair she has now.

She changed a lot. She got prettier and her hatred for him must have deepened. She must harbour a deep resentment towards him. His phone began ringing, it was a call from Matt.

“I am coming. Don't nag me.“ He said without letting Matt say anything.

Matt still works as his loyal assistant all these years. Jared tried to push him away to start his own business but Matt refused to leave. He said he has no reason to and he just want to keep working with Jared, as he loves his job.

He fully dressed up and went out. He got into the car where Ronan and Matt are waiting. Ronan is still working as his driver also just like Matt refused to leave. Though Ronan is now married with two babies, he lives a comfortable life that most drivers don't live. He doesn't have a better skill than driving so he stayed.

“What took you so long sir? You have to meet with the new face of our cosmetic brand.“ Matt said as he entered the car.

“I slept off okay? I don't…”

“I came to call you sir, but you were busy with… someone so I didn't wake you up.“ Ronan announced.

Matt turned to look at him surprised. “You were with a woman? I mean… how?“

Jared scoffed, “Please don't ask me. I don't know how I ended up with her.“

“That's actually good news. Ever since you married Livia, you have been nothing but a train wreck. I'm glad you are snapping out of it.“ Matt stated.

“Yeah… she is the only one who can do it after all.“ Jared said silently.

Livia has been calling his phone but he didn't pick up. He doesn't want to talk to her or see her. She is the reason why his life is upside down. If she hadn't come with the child years ago, his relationship with May wouldn't be jeopardised.

After doubting her, they took a test which turned out to be positive. He was the father of the little girl Livia brought with her. He has to give up his love with May as Livia threatened him with the child.

But their marriage is nothing except for the child. He doesn't even live with her or sleep with her. Livia won't give up trying to have him back, but his heart has always been somewhere else. With the only woman who can break the walls he put up for years.

“Who is this woman sir? You've never done this even if you were dead drunk.“ Ronan inquired.

Jared thought of telling them but he decides against it. He knows they are going to tease him if he told them. So he changed the subject.

“Do I have to go by the way? Why does the CEO have to greet a model?“ He asked, uninterested in the event.

“Mr Matt scouted her himself. You'll be thrilled to meet her.“ Ronan replied smiling sheepishly.

Jared felt strange, he suspected the both of them. Matt is unusually smiling which is something he rarely does.

“I don't feel safe with the both of you. What are you planning?“ He questioned them.

“Nothing sir. You don't have to worry about -” Matt stopped talking when his phone rang. He checked the caller ID and looked at Jared.

Then he picked it up. “Yes ma'am.“

“My husband is with you right? Give him the phone.“ Livia ordered from the other side.

“I am not obliged to give him your calls ma'am. I'd like you to rephrase your words.“ He answered back.

Livia scoffed, it could be heard that she is angry. “Are you kidding me? Who do you think you are talking back at me? Give the damn phone to my husband!“

“I am sorry. I can't do that.“ Matt answered and wanted to end the call. Meanwhile Jared is already frustrated at this point.

“Wait…” Livia stopped him desperately, “I.. I should be polite. Please can you give the phone to my husband?“

Matt smirked, “Yes ma'am… sir, this is for you.“

Jared took the phone from him annoyed, “What do you think you are doing bothering my assistant?“

“Is that what you should say to me first? You haven't come home for days and I can't find you anywhere! You don't pick my calls. What should I have done? Your stupid assistant has no respect for me.“ Livia complained.

Jared is used to this, “Please just tell me why you are calling.“

“You've not been home to see your daughter for days. She won't stop asking for you-”

“I'll drop by later. Stop disturbing my assistant when he's busy. Bye.“ Jared cuts her off and hung up.

He gave the phone back to Matt. They already got to the cosmetic company by this time. Matt walked into the building with Jared. They got to the office of the director who is having a conversation with the model and other staff. They all stood up when they saw Jared come in.

“Mr Holland, you are welcome. This is Sparkle, the new face of the HG cosmetic brand.“ The director introduced as soon as he got there.

“I see. You are welcome…” His words trailed off when he saw the model.

It is none other than May, the one he didn't expect to meet this soon. They are both shocked and speechless, staring at each other in confusion. They both didn't expect the other to be there at this time.
