The plane finally landed in the city. May looked out the window as if she was hesitant on coming out. Everyone else left before she got down from the plane. She looked around and saw quite a few changes in the city. She has also changed in the last four years and it seems the government are doing right by the people.

As soon as she got out of the airport, the face she didn't want to see was the first thing she noticed. He is in every direction since he is the CEO of the H&G group.

“This is annoying.“ She scoffed, looking away.

Kayla held her hand, “Bear with it. It's only for three months.“

May turned to her with a glare, “Three months is the exact problem! How am I supposed to be back here for three months?!“

After accepting the offer, she only found out it is three months she would be spending here when she boarded the flight. She felt like jumping down on hearing it from Kayla. This time around, the grand baron is the one who has been running from her. He left before them so they didn't take the same flight home.

“Calm down. This is not the worst case scenario. I heard they want to sign more deals with us after this. You have to sign a two years contract next time.“ Kayla explained.

May narrowed her eyes at Kayla, “Don't even think of it. I won't make the same mistake again.“

Kayla decided to change the subject, looking out the window of the car.

“Wow. It feels so good to be back home. Even though I've always come all these years, it feels different since you are now back.“

May looked at the window, she only saw him again so she stopped looking. She wasn't happy coming back. Everything about this city brought unwanted memories back to her. After a while of driving, the car finally stopped in front of an apartment building.

May stepped at out the car, reading the building which looks familiar. She waited for Kayla to get out of the car, slowly looking around her.

“Why does this apartment building look like one of H&G group buildings?“ May inquired from Kayla, hoping it's not what she is thinking. She was told the host company are providing accommodation for the next three months of her stay in a very expensive suite.

Kayla scratched her head looking down, she avoided May's eyes which gave May the answer.

“Wait. You're telling me I just signed a shitty contract with Jared's company?“

Kayla shrugged innocently, “I am sorry. I also found out a while ago. I've been wanting to tell you. I knew you'd react like this.“

May brought out her phone, “This won't do. I am going to call Harry.“

“Forget it.“ Kayla said, frustrated.

“What?“

“I have tried calling him when I found out and it's not going through. I even texted him and he didn't reply. We don't have a choice.“

May frantically searched the building with her eyes, it's as if she is expecting him to pop out of somewhere. Discomfort, that's what she feels at this moment. Why is Harry suddenly making her uncomfortable?

She sighed tiredly, “I can't believe this is happening to me. What else do I have to see? You must have more coming from you guys.“

Kayla took her hands, gently rubbing them with pleading eyes. She didn't want to argue. Even though this is wrong, she understands May is the one at disadvantage.

“I'm sorry you have to go through all this. Just three months and we'll live. Don't worry, you won't be seeing him. We're going to the other parts of the company which is that cosmetic brand and he's not there.“ Kayla assured her.

May dragged her bag from the driver, she ignored the worker who came to help her and walked away without saying anything. Kayla understands she is still mad. She tried her best to keep up with May at the elevator.

The apartment was nice and spacious. The company are offering a lot just to have her advertise their brand. She hasn't been working for any cosmetic brand recently, so they took the opportunity to hire her.

May took a shower and rested in the room. She and Kayla would be staying in the apartment together since they came together. But Kayla left after they got there. She's going to see her parents who have moved back to this city thanks to their daughter's support.

It was evening and Kayla already sent her a text that she won't be back. May should have gone to see her parents but they're not really on good terms like that. Even though her parents come to see her and she treats them well, she still hates them for what happened in the past. It's like she can't run away from it no matter what.

She dressed up to visit a club since she is bored at home. She remembers frequenting the club back in the days. With her intelligence and first class certification, she shouldn't be a model. She just wanted to do it because she saw it as the best way to get away at that time. Now it's becoming her problem.

On getting to the club, she found somewhere to sit alone and just drink. Since she came back, she has only thought of him. She has done nothing else but think of him.

She wants to forget him so she ordered more drinks. The atmosphere was too noisy and loud music blared from the speakers. She got too drunk. She needed to use the restroom so she made her way there. Except she did not know where the rest room is. She walked all the way upstairs, bumping into all sorts of people.

Some were making out and some were just dancing, she felt dizzy walking in their midst. She finally stopped in front of a door. She smiled, assuming she was able to find the restroom. She went inside, then followed another open door and found the restroom.

On getting back, she found someone sitting on a chair. Then she looked around and saw a bed, she was in a room. She looked at the person who seems to be familiar. He is shirtless, his body looked to good to her.

“Do you want to have a drink with me?“ A voice asked her. It is the same man in the room with her.

“Of course hottie.“ She smiled, walking towards the hot man she just met. This is not an offer she can decline.
