Chapter 126: Disguised Mission

Ryker's POV

I knew that Ella was broken. She was hurting and she was letting it get into her head.

This wasn't really her. The Ella I knew —the one I met all those months ago would be concerned about her father, whether he was wrong or right. She would fight for him and by him.

She was blinded by her pain and she was letting it turn her into a different person.

As I thought about it, I decided to help Andrew. I could tell he was in trouble.

The last time I spoke to him, he had been genuinely concerned about her. He spent hours mourning at the grave yard they made for her —someone who wanted her dead wouldn't do that.

Yet he did.

There had to be something about it, that she wasn't seeing. And when she realized it, it was going too be too late.

It would be best I did something now.

I closed the files in front of me and jumped on my feet, but just in that instance, the door opened and Patrick stepped in.
