“Ella, are you sure about this?” Patrick asked for the umpteenth time, and I simply nodded my head as I had been doing before.

This was not a time to be emotional. They had played and bruised me enough that it was now time for action. I took my phone from him and dialed the number, waiting for Michael to pick up once again.

Patrick’s eyes were swimming with a thousand reluctant emotions but we both knew that this was the only way. We couldn’t go to war against Crystal Pack with Ryker in their hands. They were going to kill him and without an heir, we were subjected to more attacks until the entire pack became under captivity.
