Chapter Fifty Three

His lips crashed onto  hers as she squirmed and arched up desperate for her release,

‘What do you want baby?’

He kissed her neck,

‘Tell me, say it’

‘Good morning’

She grinned at them and they had the grace to blush,

‘Don’t worry everyone else has left, your secret is safe with me she indicated they sat down and signalled to her servants to serve them breakfast. They both ate hungrily and Margo felt a stab of jealousy it had been a long time since she had experienced the pleasures of uninhibited sex that led to such an appetite. An hour later Captain Santino took his leave he had to get back to his base but he did not want to leave Juliette,

‘Can I have your number?’

He asked politely and she gave it willingly even though she knew she would never see him again, she had enjoyed last night but it had opened her eyes. She wasn’t going to tie herself to one man, she was only twenty, she wanted to explore and have fun and now she knew she had the power to attract any man she desired that’s exactly what she was going to do.

She reckoned without Romero, he was furious when he discovered she had slipped through his fingers once again but he was incandescent with rage when he discovered what she was up to in America. Her one-night stand with the Captain quickly reached his ears, and when he heard she was dating the Chicago Senator's youngest son  Enzo he flipped and went to see Carlotta,

‘I am coming with you’

He informed her and she tried to protest,

‘That would be foolish Romero, she’s young and testing her newfound independence, give her some space. I am sure she will come back to you, she loves you.’

He glared at her,

‘You think I should stand back and let these men fuck my woman? Are you crazy? She belongs to me and I will make her return to Sicily and marry me. Then she will learn to do as she is told’

He snapped and Carlotta shook her head,

‘No you idiot, listen to me. You go over there and drag her back you will lose her forever, She is not a Mafia woman, you cannot force her to do anything. You will have to treat her as your equal and win back her trust. I am warning you Romero, leave your Sicilian male pride here on the island or forget her.’

She gripped his arm and looked into his eyes he saw the truth there but he already knew it, Juliette would not bend to him, she was clever, feisty and strong. That was why he wanted her, why she was different from all the other women he had bedded, he did not want to change her but he did want to possess her.                                                                                                                                                                       

Enzo was behaving like a gentleman, he treated her like a princess, opening doors, holding out chairs and buying her little gifts. He was handsome and charming, when they walked together if he wasn’t holding her hand then he had his hand possessively in the small of her back. He kissed her, a lot, whenever he got the chance but never went any further even though she could feel his arousal when he pressed against her. He took her out most nights, for a meal and then to a club, he liked to show her off, to be seen with her on his arm. It confused her, he gave out such mixed signals she did not know what he wanted until another man chatted her up. She was dancing alone, she loved to dance but he preferred to stay chatting to his friends. At first, she had sat quietly beside him but it bored her rigid so when he refused yet again to dance with her she caught his friend's hand and tugged him to the dance floor instead. He had danced awkwardly with her and as soon as the track ended he had rushed back to his seat. She shook her head and stayed on the floor alone enjoying the music and dancing for hours, he was not amused but he let her get on with it. Now if a track came on she liked she got up alone, she loved rock music so when she danced it was erotic and enticing, her long hair swishing as she moved her hips.
