Chapter Fifty Seven

He was stroking the inside of her wrist in lazy circles as he spoke and she flushed a delicate shade of pink her eyes dilating and her nipples pushing against the silk of her dress,

‘Look how you want me beautiful, your body does not lie. Tell me what you want’

He was very close to her and she could feel his hot breath on her neck as he kissed the corner of her mouth and nibbled her bottom lip and the volcano erupted inside her.

‘I know what you want’

He was whispering in her ear and he could feel her trembling with desire,

‘You want my cock deep inside you, don’t you?’

Her soft gasp told him all he needed to know and out of view of everyone watching he caught her hand and pressed it against his growing length,

All coherent thought had left her the minute he turned on his charm and seduced her she was a hot panting mess of need and she would have let him throw her over the table and take her right there. He stood up pulling her to her feet instantly the sound of guns being cocked surrounded them.

He ordered gritting his teeth as Carlotta walked towards him,

‘Let her go Romero’

She demanded and he laughed,

‘I am not forcing her’

Juliette swayed towards him pressing her body close to his,

‘It’s okay Carlotta I want this’

She stood in the circle of his arms and he held her possessively,

‘She is free to go with you if she wants to’

He lifted his hands from her waist and she felt cold,

‘Juliette?’

She looked into Carlotta’s worried eyes and it was like an ice bath,

‘What the fuck was she doing? He was dangerous and she had walked straight into his trap. She knew the power he had over her, and he knew it to’

Her mind reeled and she swayed Romero reached to catch her but she moved quickly,

‘No, no, don’t touch me’

She cried and almost fell into Carlotta’s arms,

‘Take me home’

 She whispered ashamed and humiliated by her weakness, she watched Romero sit back in his chair and smirk he knew the effect he had on her and he knew she could not run forever.  He made no attempt to stop them as they left and Carlotta hurried Juliette to her car and drove her back to the villa. When they got there Juliette apologised and fled to her room before she could ask any questions, she stood under the shower scrubbing herself and at the same time longing for his touch. Needless to say she cried herself to sleep and in the morning sat before Carlotta ashamed,

‘I’m so sorry I should have stopped him, I know how dangerous he is. I don’t know what came over me. I just melt when he touches me’

The older woman sighed and looked away,

‘The answer is staring you in the face Juliette’

She was curt and to the point,

‘What do you mean?’

The young woman looked perplexed,

‘Oh come on, are you really that fucking stupid Juliette?  You love him for fuck’s sake’

Juliette was so shocked, not just by the profanities coming out of Carlotta’s mouth but the actual words had hit home too,

‘No, you’re wrong, No I don’t, I mean, I can’t’

She held her head in her hands tears streaming down her face,

‘Oh God Carlotta, what am I going to do. I fucking love him’

She cried heavily but this time she got no comfort from her friend she just handed her a box of tissues and when she managed to pull herself together she sat hanging her head shredding the damp paper with her fingers,

‘Carlotta?’

Her friend drew in a deep breath and spat,

‘I warned you girl, how many time did I warn you how dangerous he was? I told you repeatedly, you play with fire you get burnt and look at you. I mean seriously just fucking look at you’

Juliette was stunned by her outburst and slowly stood up, turning away she placed the tissues in her hands in the waste-bin, lifting her head her eyes flashed,

‘Well forgive me for being human’

Her voice dripped sarcasm and she grabbed her jacket and walked out of Carlotta’s villa signalling to her Guards she got into the waiting car,

‘Juliette wait’

The older woman followed her out but she was in no mood to listen tapping the glass divider she turned her face away as the car moved off.

She stayed away from them all, refusing to answer her phone or the door she told her Guards to refuse access to everyone. She cried a lot, she felt betrayed by them both, her best friend and the man she loved so desperately. Slowly she pulled herself together, she was twenty, no longer a child it was time to be an adult so she called a meeting with the Dons and sent a message to the Mafia Elite. When she walked into the meeting room there was a collective gasp, gone was the sexy tempting teenager, dressed in a black Chanel linen trouser suit, fitted piazza pants with a short very fitted jacket, paired with killer black patent Jimmy Choo heels. Her glorious hair was French braided and her make up was minimal she meant business and the Mafia Elite Councillor who stood by her side emphasized this.

‘Grazie per essere venuti Signori’ [Thank you for coming Gentlemen]

Her voice was devoid of all emotion and she made eye contact with none of them, Carlotta looked at her with hurt eyes and Romero with lustful ones.
