The pains of an ex wife

Chapter 1

Under the dark of the night , the woman struggled to sleep .

Her legs were hanging on the wall and her head on the floor.

Pain shot through all of her body , she felt limp laying down there .

So many thoughts went through her head as she thought of all the stupid things that she had done .

Never in her entire life did she think that she was going to be betrayed this way .

The tears never stopped following out .

This day brought a lot of memories that she didn’t want to think about and she hoped that she forgot , but she had no choice but to keep record of this day as It was the worst day of her life, but yet she couldn’t let this day go .

“ I Am sorry “ the woman whispered , her voice sounding hoarse and the pains that sent tears to the eyes of anyone who dared to listen .

The cold night had no effect on her , she wanted to feel that pain , she wished that she was the one and not her babies .

They were so small , her source of happiness and joy , but they were taken away from her .

The pains that kept coming back every sinks day she lived .

Death , that was what she wanted , but death was too far away , maybe death wanted her to suffer.

She wanted peace , she wanted to be with them, but who was going to help her , she was here sitting crying and bitter all alone .

It all felt like yesterday when it all happened .

The horrified look on her face when she found out what had happened , the proud look that monster had on .

Nothing ever prepared her for that day , but yet the day came .

“ I hate Williams Santiago “ she screamed , her voice echoing through all the walls of the prison .

It was the voice of that woman that they dreaded so much .

Even in jail , people felt she was not deserving to be alive but to die , she killed her own babies , she ate them , she’s a witch , those were the words that spread around the prison cell and everyone avoided her like a plague , no one wanted to get eaten by a woman who could kill her own babies and start a crime scene to cover up for the mess she had done .

“Stop it Amelia , you are strong “ a voice whispered to her head .

Amelia never believed those words , though she thought about it all day , but she wasn’t one to be deceived but on this particular day when she heard the statement , she felt at peace with herself .

For a while , she thought that she was going to meet them and so when she closed her eyes , she let herself go, but she couldn’t rest because the thoughts and the memories kept coming back .

Just five years ago , she was the happy wife of the CEO , Williams Santiago .

She knew how much she loved this man and could give her life just to save him .

She and Williams had met when she was in her first year in college ,though she was that 20 years old girl who was struggling to survive and pay her tuition fee , never did she think that she was going to be the lucky girl that the heir to the Santiago family was going to fall in love with .

When she met Williams , she never loved him , but with his persistence , she fell for him and fell so stupidity .

She was happy to have found someone who was ready to protect and guide her in everything .

When they finally graduated from college , they decided to get married , though she was an orphan , Williams' family made sure never to put it on her face and they supported her in any way that they could, making her feel loved and welcomed into the family .

It was just two months into the marriage that William suddenly changed , he hit her at every slightest opportunity , even his own family change and his mom never forgot to remind her of how worthless and not deserving to be a part of their family .

She felt frustrated , but decided not to leave. Williams was going to come back to her and be hers again, so she thought , but not until she got pregnant and the day she fell into labor , her husband wasn’t there to support her.

It was after she had given birth . She saw on the news that her husband had gotten married to his mistress that same day .

The pains of betrayal shot through her body that day and and the first thing she thought of was dying .

That was the last thing she ever expected from him but seeing his family in total support of him made her sad .

She didn’t know why Williams changed that quickly even when she tried to be the best wife to him .

She wanted to die because that was the only way she could ease her pains , but turning and looking at her three bundles of joy , she brushed off that thought from her head , she was going to live for them.

The next day the divorce papers came , but she refused to sign them and sent them back. She didn’t mind if she was just a second wife , but she wanted somewhere to lay her little babies , she couldn’t leave now .

When she returned back to their matrimonial home , it wasn’t the same again , Williams didn’t care to know if they were his babies .

He still hit her and turned her into a personal slave for his new wife , but the one that broke her into pieces was the last unforgivable one .

It was just a sunny afternoon like every other day , and his husband's mistress had asked her to prepare something for her .

To avoid getting into trouble , she left her kids in the room, not minding the fact that she was giving a room outside of the house in the maid’s quarters .

She did everything she could to get back quickly to her babies , but when she got into the room she couldn’t find them , she felt her world go blurry .

Where could they be?

Her babies were just two weeks old and no one helped her with them and so she rushed out but when she saw her husband's mistress coming from the pool with a smirk on her face , her fear’s increased and rushed towards the pool , she met the biggest shock of her life .

Her three babies were floating on top of the waters, they were dead , and her husband's mistress had drowned them .

The pain , she ran mad , she screamed so loud getting the attention of the guards who came to drag her away with the instruction from his husband new wife .

The whole day , they locked her up in a room till her husband returned .

When Williams returned , she hoped that he supported her and helped her but instead Williams took sides with his new wife and that night she got arrested with Williams claiming that she killed their babies and was framing it on his new wife because of her jealousy .

She watched her life go down the drain that day , it wasn’t even long when she got arrested , she was convicted of murder of the first degree and sentenced to life in prison .

That day she watched her husband and wife hug in court when the woman faked her tears

She couldn’t believe that she was the one getting all of this for a crime she never committed .

The Judge knew she wasn’t responsible but yet they still did it , they killed her that day .

Amelia Santiago , you have a visitor “ she heard someone yeled bringing her out of her thoughts .

It was that moment , she saw the lights , it was a new day, she never slept .

Turning to the prison guards , she adjusted her clothes and walked out .

She didn’t know who was looking for her because no one had ever visited her , she hoped today was a special day .
