**Kate's POV**
Before I can even react, the unknown man pulls me in and kisses me. His lips press against mine, and for a few seconds, I freeze, unsure of what to do. Push him away? No. I shouldn't. As much as I don’t know him, I love the sight of Kyle’s face—shocked, pained, and filled with regret. The man finally pulls away, keeping hold of my hand, and says with a smirk, "I’ve missed you." But his eyes aren’t on me—they’re looking past me, like there’s something, or someone, behind me. Kyle, clearly unable to hide his jealousy, blurts out, “So, Kate… you’re already with another man?” Pamela jumps in, of course, never one to miss an opportunity to attack. “Have you no shame? After committing adultery, killing your baby, and running away, you're already with another man in just two weeks?” Kyle sneers, his eyes dark with contempt. “You’re disgusting. No woman should be like you!” That’s when the unknown man intervenes, his voice cold but calm. “What’s going on here? What are you both talking about?” Pamela steps forward, ready to unload her lies. “If you’re the one buying the car for her, I feel sorry for you. This woman is a lowlife cheater, a hook-up girl. She even cheated on her ex-husband and tried to kill me! She’s toxic!” Kyle backs her up. “Man, you deserve better. Leave her. She’s not worth it.” Before I can even respond, the man wraps his arm around my waist and pulls me close. “If I left this hot woman, I’d be out of my mind!” Pamela’s face twists in disgust. “What? You’d stay with a cheater and a killer?” He smirks. “I don’t care. She’s gorgeous, can’t you see? It’d be a blessing if she cheated, as long as she doesn’t leave!” Kyle’s face contorts with frustration, like he can’t handle the sight of me with someone else. He’s about to say something when his phone vibrates. He checks it, his eyes widening in shock as he glances up at me. “Kate… we’ll see each other again,” he says before storming out. Pamela hurries after him, shouting, “Wait! What about the car?!” But Kyle doesn’t even look back. They both leave in a rush. It takes me a moment to snap back to reality. Then I shove the man away, my voice sharp. “Who are you, and what do you think you’re doing?” Helena, just as confused, looks at me with wide eyes. “Wait… you don’t know him? And he kissed you?” The man smirks and runs a hand through his hair, clearly trying to look more handsome. I have to admit, he’s attractive, but that doesn’t matter. I just want to know what the hell he thinks he’s doing. He finally speaks, a cocky grin on his face. “Well, you see… we kinda used each other, and it worked out pretty well.” “What the hell are you talking about? Used each other?” He nods. “Yeah. My girlfriend was out there. I’m sick of her, but she wouldn’t leave me alone, so I used you to make her jealous. It worked—she’s gone now.” I stare at him, anger boiling inside me. He is just as asshole as Kyle. ditching woman and treat them anyhow. “So, you used me without my consent?” He has the nerve to laugh. “No, we used each other. You were in a tight spot with your ex, and honestly, what you did was pretty awful.” That’s it, He is clearly a Red flag also. I don't want to hear more. “Hey, shut up and leave!” I snap, my voice rising. He just shrugs, unfazed. “Women hate hearing the truth.” Then, as if he hasn’t crossed enough lines, he reaches into his pocket and pulls out some cash, handing me $10,000. “Here, consider it a thank you for your help.” I fold my arms, glaring at him. “I’m not that kind of woman. Get that out of my face.” He laughs again, adding more bills to the stack. “Let me sweeten the deal, then.” Before I can react, Helena steps in and twists his wrist. He cries out in pain, “Oh, no! Stop!” Helena releases him after a few seconds, and he rubs his wrist, his face pale. “Do you know who I am?!” he shouts. “I don’t care,” I say, stepping closer, my voice low and cold. “Now get out, and don’t let me see your face again.” He glances at Helena, clearly intimidated, and nods quickly. “Fine, just don’t cross paths with me again!” He storms out of the store, fuming. Helena and I exchange a look before bursting into laughter. That whole scene is absurd. Finally, we turn to get my car—a sleek, metallic Tesla with an elegant, futuristic design. Its exterior is smooth and streamlined, painted in a rich, deep blue that shimmers under the store lights. I run my hand along the side, feeling the cool metal beneath my fingers. Inside, the cabin is all luxury. White leather seats with black trim, soft to the touch, and a large touchscreen console in the center controls everything from the climate to the entertainment. The dashboard is minimalist, with a single, continuous panel of wood that adds a touch of warmth to the modern design. Never in my life did I think I would own this. I slide into the driver’s seat, feeling the power of the car around me. Helena hops in beside me, grinning ear to ear. “Woohoo!” I scream, hitting the accelerator as we speed out of the lot. **Unknown POV** I wait until Kate and her friend are gone, then step out from my hiding spot and pull out my phone. “She just left the store,” I say quietly. The voice on the other end is cold. “Find a quiet place and kill her there. No mistakes. No traces. Do it perfectly.” “Understood,” I reply, tucking my phone away as I exit the building.**Kyle's POV**Oh shit! I’ve messed up. I can’t believe I’m the one who led Kate to her divorce. And today, after seeing her, I don’t even know how I feel. She’s changed so much. Kate has become someone I never imagined—so confident, so damn beautiful. That’s undeniable. And her attitude? Badass. As I sit in the car, driving toward my grandfather’s house, my mind keeps drifting back to her. Pamela, sitting beside me, won’t stop complaining about being humiliated by Kate. She also won’t shut up about the car I didn’t buy. Her whining is getting under my skin, but I tune her out as best I can.“Kyle, you did wrong!” she suddenly shouts, snapping me out of my thoughts. I slam on the brakes in frustration, and we both lurch forward slightly.“Please, step out now,” I say, my voice calm but sharp.“What? Why… why are you acting cold toward me all of a sudden? I’m sorry if what I said made you angry. I didn’t mean it,” she pleads, reaching out to hold my hand gently.I turn to look at her a
**Kate's POV:** Today is the day I’m finally introduced to the rest of the family. I’ve met a few members before, but not all of them. I know Charlie, my cousin—easily the most compassionate person I’ve ever known. He has this rare ability to make me believe that maybe, just maybe, there are still good men out there. Kyle, however, definitely isn’t one of them, also was the asshole man I met today. As I step out of the car, the towering six-story building of the Hera Private Suites looms before me. Most of the family resides here, and my stomach churns with nervous anticipation. The bodyguards stationed at the entrance bow as I approach, adding to the formality of the moment. Just then, Charlie emerges from the doors, his familiar, warm presence bringing an instant sense of relief. "Wow, my beautiful cousin is looking dazzling today. Seriously, you’re making the rest of the ladies look bad," Charlie remarks with a playful grin. Charlie is delicate in appearance, almost fragile, wit
**Kate's POV**A month to prove myself worthy! To be frank, I don’t know much about running a company, but Dylan’s attack on me feels deeply personal. It’s as if the family members have discussed it beforehand, showing only a facade of commitment.I sigh heavily as I walk out of the building. The cool evening air does little to calm me. Other family members trail out behind, each offering a shallow bow before making their exit. Dylan approaches with a smirk that makes my stomach churn. “Bye, your empress. I wish you good luck for the month,” he says, his dark eyes glinting with something cold and malicious. His words are a blatant provocation, and his gaze seems to dig under my skin. I loathe the way he looks at me. As he turns to leave, I call out sharply, “Stop.”He turns back, the smirk never fading. “What is it, your empress?”“I need you to gather all the files on high-reputation companies nearby and report them to me,” I demand, trying to keep my voice steady. His eyebrow raises
---**Kate’s POV**What the heck is this man doing here? I know this motherfucker is not a good man. He’s just another creep, a pervert who watches me pee. I can't take this!"What the hell do you think you're doing... in the women's toilet?" I yell at him, my voice trembling with rage and disgust. He casually removes the woman’s jacket he wears and slips off the shoes. His face twists with irritation. "Why can't you mind your own motherfucking business?" he snaps, attempting to turn away, but I’m not going to let him off that easily. I step in his path, blocking him.“You're joking, right? You think you can leave after peeping on me? You dressed like a woman just to watch ladies get naked!” I shriek at him, my face flushing with fury. His eyes widen in panic, and he quickly tries to shush me. "Shhh! Who are you, and why can’t you just mind your own business? It's not what you're thinking."“Then what is it?” I demand, crossing my arms, my glare sharp as daggers.“Oh God, I'm in a tou
Kate's POV Even though I am the one who initiates the kiss, this man is overdoing it. His hands move to my buttocks, pulling me closer. My body tenses. How far is he going to take this? I wonder. I don’t need to react.Because this will make Kyle snap back to his senses. After a few moments, I break the kiss, pulling away.I turn to face Kyle. His expression—ugh!—it sweetened me. He looks at me as if I’m a parasite, draining the life out of him."So, hear me out. Don't ever jump into my business again!" I sneer, my eyes narrowing in anger."You don’t even atone for what you did. You don't care about what you've done to my heart!" Kyle's voice rises, his face flushed with rage. "You don't care at all! You’re just... you're just a whore!" he shouts, his eyes wild with fury.I scoff. "Ugh... I told you, I did nothing—nothing!" I snap, throwing my hands in the air. Then I pause, catching my breath. "I have nothing more to say to you. We're done, and that's final. Okay?"Kyle just stands
Kate's POV I beam with joy, my baby’s kicks a reminder of the new life growing inside me. In just two weeks, I will finally hold my little bundle of joy in my arms, surrounded by the love and support of my devoted husband.I feel grateful for this perfect life. Finally, my sacrifice for Kyle pays off; I rejected many wealthy men for him. When my parents suggeted that I should marrry him through a contract marriage, I was all over the moon, I finally get him, the man I always wanted. He is so devoted and trustworthy that I handed all my wealth from my career to him and put a stop on it to become his full housewife. I don’t regret it.As I enter the kitchen, my pregnancy doesn’t slow me down. I am determined to cook a delicious meal for my husband, the love of my life.Carefully, I place the foodstuffs on the counter, my hands cradling my belly. Suddenly, a disturbing sound pierces the air. “Yeah, baby, go deeper… deeper… faster… faster…” The moans grow louder, and my heart sinks.I fr
Kate's POV My hands tremble as I crumple the picture, folding it in my hand, my fingers digging into my palm. I nod repeatedly, trying to process the accusation. Kyle and Pamela are already dressing up. I throw the picture back at them, my voice shrill and echoing through the room. "No! This is not true... I am not the one here!"Kyle's face twists in anger. "You're denying the clear evidence? So, all this while... you've been pretending to be a saint while cheating on me? Do you know how painful that is? You had sex with another man while you are pregnant with our baby!"I shake my head, desperation creeping into my voice. "No, no, I... I'm not, I don't know that man. I rarely leave the house, how would I have time for cheating?".Pamela sneers, stepping forward. "You're worse, you won't even admit it." The situation is shifting against me, and the fact that they are cheating on me is suddenly forgotten, replaced by this fake picture and their accusations."Baby, please," I beg, m
Kate's POVMy head throbs as I struggle to open my eyes. I groan softly. As my heavy lids slowly lift, everything blur, until it comes into shape. The rhythmic beeping and the sensation of wires running through me tell me I am in a hospital. I turn my head and see Kyle standing there, his hands buried deep in his pockets. Behind him stand my parents and sister, with a killer expression."Kyle," I whisper, my voice raspy. My gaze falls to my stomach, now eerily flat and light . Panic surges through me. "What happened to my baby?"From behind, my dad's voice cuts through the air like a knife. "Your baby? You killed him with your disgraceful behavior. You're a shame to this family.""Dad," I croak, but he is relentless. My mom's voice joins in, cold and unforgiving. "We took you in, adopted you as our own, and this is how you repay us? You should be grateful Kyle chose to save you instead of the baby."Kyle chose to save me? Why? I look up at him, desperate for answers. "Why... why did y
