Nathaniel

The drive back to San Francisco feels endless. My heart is heavy, and my mind is a whirlwind of regret and confusion. Megra's words echo in my ears, as does the pain in her voice when she told me to leave. The image of her face, twisted with hurt, is burned into my memory. I grip the steering wheel tighter, replaying the scene over and over.
