Alpha Enzo's POV

I couldn’t explain the wave of discomfort that consumed me when I realized how scared she was, trapped in the elevator. Her screams and pleading awakened a protective instinct so fierce that I nearly lost control. I wanted to tear down the elevator myself, but I forced myself to stay calm, waiting for the issue to be resolved.

The moment she fell into my arms, everything in me pulled her close. Right then, I knew I’d do anything for her—anything she asked.

Moving sideways, I watched her as my driver took us to her apartment. She hadn’t looked at me once, her gaze fixed outside the window. As I glanced at her, I marveled at the irony.
