Chapter 26

Alpha Enzo's POV

I couldn’t quite explain what I was doing here, lying on her small bed that barely had enough space for the both of us. I knew I should have been in my own apartment, but the thought of going back and facing my mother was unbearable. Her presence reminded me of things I’d rather forget—memories that gnawed at me. So I left, with no clear destination in mind. I could have gone to my penthouse or booked a room somewhere, but somehow, my feet led me to Olivia’s apartment, and I had no idea why.

When our eyes met, I could see the confusion on her face. She hadn’t expected me to stay the night, and frankly, neither had I.

“Hell no, Alpha Enzo, you’re leaving, or I’m calling the police,” she demanded, her voice firm. I almost wanted to plead with her, to ask her to let me stay, but I wasn’t a man who begged. I commanded. That’s who I was, and that’s what I was going to do.
