Chapter 28

Olivia’s POV

A moment of tense silence hung in the air as neither of us said a word after I had called him a monster. When I called him that, I thought he was going to get furious and attack me. I was waiting for him to get angry at me, but he didn’t; instead, he remained silent. That made me furrow my brow, but I didn’t look his way. I kept staring outside the window. The dream I had replayed in my head, and it caused a cold chill to run down my spine. In that dream, I saw Alpha Enzo holding a gun and pointing it at me, and I was pleading with him not to shoot me, begging him not to kill me as he had killed my parents. But before he could pull the trigger, I woke up.

The dream felt so real, so vivid that I couldn’t stop the fear consuming me, and the fact that he was in my room made me even more scared. Sighing softly, I closed my eyes and thought of my parents.
