Chapter 34

Olivia’s POV

The constant buzzing of my cellphone forced me out of sleep. With a tired sigh, I reached for it, wondering who would be sending me text messages at such an early hour of the morning.

Unlocking my phone, I squinted at the first notification. Confusion creased my brow as I rubbed my eyes and stared at the screen again, trying to make sense of it.

“What?” I muttered in disbelief, my mind still sluggish as I scrolled through the notifications. The first was from the bank, informing me that my loan had been fully paid off and that I should come in to sign paperwork and collect the deed for our house. The second was from the hospital, letting me know my brother’s medical bills had been cleared and the money for his surgery had been deposited. They needed me to come in and sign a few documents to get the operation underway. Other messages followed—my rent, small debts, all wiped clean.
