BETRAYED

The rejuvenating sunlight shone upon her tired face.She slowly opened her eyes wearily and felt weak and extremely exhausted.The golden rays of the sun poured into her eyes which she shut immediately only opening them when she was sure they had adjusted themselves to the light.

Looking at her surroundings she was quite surprised and as well as alarmed.Where was she?

She positioned herself into a sitting position and tried recalling what had taken place .She lifted the expensive quilt and was even more surprised when she found herself naked.What  happened to her?Why is she here?When did she pull of her dress?Whose room was she in?These questions formed in her head with none to specifically answer her.

She remembered vaguely that she had been sent to this particular room by her sister Amanda.Anything else besides she  didn’t recall…..

Feeling how sore her body felt she was alarmed and her muscles tensed.Ah!Someone had taken advantage of her,she’d been raped!She was undoubting so she lifted the quilt again and examined her body which she had grown acustomed to.

The red hickey,the blood stain and the pain of being torn only proved that indeed she had been taken.

Wait she is a married woman and there is absolutely no way or justification she can give to her husband Timothy that she had lost her first time to someone else or rather she was raped.Goosh her life was completely over.

She stood up with the strength left in her bones,picked up her dress on the floor and dashed into the bathroom as she had heard hurried footsteps coming to the room.Just then Timothy walked in with his mother and her stepsister all with complicated expressions painted on their faces.

“well as you can see,she had already been taken.Take the pictures of the red blood stain on the sheets and lets leave.The Elias family need to give us an explanation”That is what Madam Penny Friday said who is Timothy’s mother.

“i have enough reason to divorce her and be married to the love of my life”Timothy chimed and held Amanda close to his masculine body and kissed her.

“easy there honey.We surely will be married this time soon and I will become your one and only sweetie pie.Once my fool of a sister has been pushed out of the way completely”Amanda said,sounding extremely excited.

Nicole heard all their words and couldn’t believe her ears.So it seemed like her husband and stepsister connived together and set her up?

She patiently waited until the sound of their footsteps had faded far away before she walked out of the bathroom with her dress on and heavy steps.She hurried her steps and walked away.

The only difference was a minute after Nicole left the room that Sederic got into the room.He checked the entire suite and didn’t see anyone.

“good morning Boss, the woman is gone.But I have taken some pictures as proof of her innocence”,Sederic said whilst closing his camera which he had been using to take pictures of the blood stain on the bed.

Nicole was still troubled of what she heard though she had always been a strong woman.She had married Timothy Friday out of an arranged marriage.

They had been married for only four months.Though they didn’t love each other,so they had agreed to nurture their feelings for each other first before going intimate and it was saddening that she was almost falling for him.

But despite the fact that she hadn't gone intimate with him,it does not make her less his wife legally.But she cant imagine that Amanda would set her up so as to be with her husband.

Nicole arrived home in a taxi with tattered clothes ,and went into the house:

As soon as she stepped into the sitting room, she was greeted with a ferocious stare.The most frightening was coming from Timothy and it was completely  capable of making one miss her steps.

“Bitch , you still have no shame left in you and you brought your miserable disgusting self into this house”Penny Friday cursed.

“The last time I checked you are married to me and still thinking about sleeping around with someone else?Are you so cheap and casual that you don’t know your status and where tot urn to when you need someone to satisfy your needs?’Timothy thundered.

Liars ,hypocrites,Nicole thought.He was there standing on high ground and pretending to be upset and yet knows about all that happened.He was the one who fed her that drink that sent her hypoxia,

“This thing you call marriage is over!I cant pretend to know what you’ve done nor turn my eyes away.You are a loose woman and a whore”Timothy continued looking at her irritatingly.

This was her last straw. “what right do you have to stand here and say those  horrible words about me when you were clearly the one who drugged me?What kind of a man does that ,drugs his wife so as to trap her .If I may say you are the cheap ,priceless man whore alive.Oh just to let you know do you think am oblivious about your escapades with my sister?You wanted a divorce right ?You should have said it rather than trying to create a reason for it.Well I have to thank you because I enjoyed myself actually”Nicole snapped at him.

Timothy was temporarily rendered speechless by her outburst.How come she knew about him and Amanda?Had he been not careful enough and left clues behind?

“hold it right there how dare you accuse my son with no evidence?A slut like you should hide her face or better drive herself into committing suicide.But no here you are rattling pretentiously after spending a night with your lover’ Penny accused her.

“if you know whats good for you ,sign those divorce papers and leave,otherwise,I will make your life miserable that even the Devil himself would sit down and take notes”Timothy threatened.

Before he could even finish his statement,Nicole had long passed him and was going upstairs when Penny hurried her steps after her and pulled her by her hair.

Nicole feel a sharp pain in her scalp as her mother-in law dragged her around the room.She threatened and said her son cant wait on someone else leftover.

Nicole’s body was already weak at this point  and she felt hurt .Now being dragged like this she went completely out of strength.She didn’t know how long it took,but she knew her eyes became dizzy ,feeling sleepy and totally blackness engulfed her.

Nicole opened her eyes three days later .She found herself on an infusion.She felt weak.She clearly remembered that the last thing that happened to her before she passed out but she didn’t know how she ended up in a hospital.Did they sent her here because they were afraid of being pressed charges of murder?Cowards.

No one was in her room when she woke up.She thought how cruel life is and her eyes welled up.She was forced into this marriage despite knowing the two had absolutely no attachment to each other.There was simply no chemistry.

Her stepmother insisted she would be married to the Friday family.Timothy was the second young master of that family.

There family was one of the richest families in Country X.Since Timothy wasn’t the heir to the Friday enterprise,her stepmother made it mandatory that she should marry Timothy saying it was good for their family.

Her sweet daughter Amanda should be the only girl in the Elias family.so that the young master of the Friday family who was Timothy’s brother will choose her as he was the  heir to the family.

But unexpectedly  Ben Friday returned  from overseas with a man he had already gotten married to.His parents got infuriated and stripped all the titles he had.He remained a member of the family but was no longer the heir which pushed Timothy into the lime light.

She didn’t know how and when her husband  and Amanda got entangled with each other .She was there lost in her thought when a man walked in with pride strides bringing her back from her thoughts
