MEETING NICOLE AGAIN

Amanda thanked her mother-in-law and went home. She could not wait for her husband to return home and meet her waiting for him. She hoped this would work this time.

As soon as Amanda left, Penny called her son and asked that they have lunch together that afternoon. She would be waiting for her at a certain restaurant whose address she would be sending to him.

Nicole got ready and soon Rose returned from the office. They both head to an agency where Lincoln is waiting for them.

When they arrived, he told them he had seen the house and was waiting for Nicole to see it as well.

He initially didn’t see the other lady that came with Nicole or better still he was concentrating on his friend that he did not notice she’ was with her.

Nicole saw it and said she liked it. It’s a portable complex enough for her and her kids. She paid for it and then signed the papers to the house.

“I’d like you to meet my friend, the one I told you about” Nicole introduced and she did the same for Lincoln.

That was when Lincoln saw Rose. He shook hands with her and said his Lincoln and Rose also called her name to him.

Lincoln and his friends were in that restaurant when Penny arrived. She didn’t see Nicole initially but after hearing a few people’s conversation nearby, she turned her head and looked at them.

She was shocked when she saw that the cheerful one among the three was Nicole. Where has she been all these years?

After finding out that she was set up and that she and her son were part of the conspiracy, she had not seen her since then.

Penny became uncomfortable when she saw Nicole. Her guilt was eating her up and she wanted to stand up but just then her son arrived and took his seat opposite hers.

She tapped her son and looked in the direction where Nicole was seated with her friends.

Timothy’s eyes followed the direction where his mother was asking him to look. He looked up and for a moment he was frozen in place with his hands shivering.

The person who was in front of him was his ex, Nicole Elias. She looked happy with whomever she was having her meal with. Whilst on the other side Nicole was fishing her meal into her mouth with the chopsticks so she was oblivious of the people who were staring at her.

The waiter came and took Timothy’s order both with that of his mother. But he had become muddle-headed after seeing Nicole once again.

He had pulled all the resources he had back trying to locate her all to no avail. He concluded she had maybe done something to herself due to grief or left the country.

But where had she been all this while? She had no penny when they divorced so where did she get the money to travel if she had been abroad?

But seeing her now, she looked gorgeous beautiful, and even more mature. She looked exquisite and Timothy wondered how she lived for the past few years.

He hadn't stopped regretting his actions and vile behavior to her a few years before. He later realized that he was in love with her and not her sister.

He had grown to love her but when he realized his feelings for her, it was too late and the damage had already been done. He had searched all around to apologize to her but he just couldn’t find her.

“Timothy you better not think about meddling in her affairs” his mother cautioned because her son just like her could not take off their eyes on her.

He turned and looked at his mother and the waiter brought their orders. He didn’t know when he started looking at Nicole again and his chopsticks ended up picking dishes from the table rather than from his plates.

Penny became embarrassed. She pinched his hand and the latter came back from his daze. He took the chopsticks towards his mouth when his mother pulled his hands down.

He looked and saw that he was taking empty chopsticks to his mouth. He felt embarrassed and decided to concentrate on his lunch.

Nicole was almost done with her meal but she was observing the chemistry that was ensuing between her friend Rose and Lincoln.

Lincoln was showing interest in Rose but the latter was pretending not to notice. She would be happy if things could work out between these two friends of hers.

Soon the meal was over and Lincoln went over to pay. Nicole said she wanted to buy a car and Rose agreed with her. She needs a car to conveniently move around with her kids.

When they stood up, Nicole’s eyes locked with Timothy and she flippantly turned her eyes away quickly. She doesn’t know anyone in her past anymore, especially those who destroyed her happiness.

“Hi Nicole”, Timothy didn’t know when he called her. Nicole glared at him and squinted. Her friends also paused and looked at the fellow who knew Nicole.

“Hi. You are?”Nicole pretended not to recognize him. Timothy became more embarrassed the more. She even pretends not to know him.

“Your ex-husband Timothy Friday” the latter also sheepishly answered. Lincoln and Rose exchanged glances with each other. So this is the beast who had ruined and conspired against his wife and then threw her off like filth onto the streets.

“My ex-husband?” she turned and looked at Rose. “I had a husband before that became an ex?” she asked and everyone would have thought she was suffering from amnesia.

Other customers in the restaurant seemed interested in her words and waited to hear her friend’s reply.

“You mean the idiot who conspired with others to set up his wife and divorce her simply because his dwelling place is the hole between the thighs of his sister-in-law? Was that what you wanted to ask ?”

Rose replied and sneered at the man seated. He didn’t deserve to be called a husband.

“Oh! Yeah, that’s the perfect way to describe the fool who sits with his senseless mother to have lunch. Well, nice seeing you again, EX HUSBAND.”Nicole gives a wicked grin and then walks away with her friends.

Other people in the restaurant understood what happened. Timothy was the idiot the two friends were talking about. Different comments started coming into his ears.

“Terrible man as a husband and unfilial man”. “He sleeps with his sister-in-law and divorces his wife”. “This must be his sugar mommy”. “Some men can put their dicks in anything that has a hole between its legs.”

Penny couldn’t control the anger boiling in her. She stood up and said she was leaving. Timothy also followed suit, quickly paying their bills and leaving.

“They are going to fuck each other in the nearest hotel” “Shameless woman in her old age sleeping with her son’s age mate” and “Does an old woman make you more comfortable than your sister-in-law?”.The last bits of the comment entered into their ears and they hurried their steps out.
