Kendrick's POV

As I cut the fruits that Audrey requested for, I couldn't help but feel grateful to the maids in the palace that did all this work just to please me when I was their ruler. I suddenly felt like servants, not just those in the palace but all servants, deserved to be treated better than they were as they went through so much stress to please their masters.

It had only been a few hours since I began working as Audrey's servant and I was already severely exhausted in every way possible.

If the Moon goddess ever gave the control of the Blood Moon pack back to me someday, I would initiate a yearly festival to honor servants for their sacrifice.

Soon, I was done with the cutting and handed the plates of fruit over to Audrey. She then asked how she was supposed to eat the fruits and that was when I realized that I didn't get a fork so I rushed to get her one only for her to complain that I didn't take permission before leaving when I got back.

I was almost tempted to ask i

Jake's POV Audrey's rulership of the Blood Moon pack started like a joke, a very surreal joke but now, days had passed since she began to rule the pack. If it was revenge she was seeking, it was definitely going well for her, but going very uneasily for the pack. Two days ago, she had asked all the pack members to assemble and ended up saying nothing to us except that she just wanted to check if we would answer her. She was not treating the people unfairly but her punishments for even the slightest misdeed would make everyone feel sorry for the offender including the person who reported. She also had a very high bar of what was respectful and so once she felt disrespected in the slightest, punishments would definitely follow. As for Kendrick, that was the worse because she was actually unfair to him and would always punish him publicly. He was now a shadow of himself and the regalness with which he had carried himself right from childhood was gone. It was almost like he would d

  • Return of the Rejected Lycan Princess    His Dilemma

Kendrick's POV Ever since Audrey started to rule the pack, everyday had passed like a dream. I desperately wished that I could just wake up soon but it somehow also felt like I might never wake up from this dream. I was presently sitting on a chair in my room since I had managed to get a respite from Audrey as she was resting. “Hello husband,” I heard behind me as a hand started massaging my shoulder. "Jenni," I breathed out and took her hands off my shoulders. "So that girl finally ran out of ways to frustrate you, didn't she?" She asked and I suddenly remembered that it had been a while since I checked on Audrey. I hope she had not woken up, if she was sleeping in the first place, and looked for me only to not find me as that would be trouble. I quickly stood up from my seat to go and check up on Audrey. “Where are you going?” she asked. "I'm sorry, I have to see the queen right now,” I told her. “To see the queen?” she scoffed. “It's the way you respect that girl so much

  • Return of the Rejected Lycan Princess    Revolt Of The Werecouncil

Jake's POV I ended up spending only a few minutes knocking on Audrey's door without getting any answer before her guard came to send me away and I dejectedly left. Eventually, I found myself back in town just wandering around the pack trying to look for anything to lift my spirits. I saw a few exciting things but after sometime, decided to go back to the palace considering that Audrey could have come out of her chambers and might require my presence. I was about to enter the palace when I saw the werecouncil member who had tried approaching the Queen talking with another werecouncil member in front of the palace. How was he back here again? Was he hoping that Audrey would have woken up? I didn't know what to say to him if that was the case as Audrey usually kept her interactions with everyone to the lowest minimum and could refuse to see him even if she had come out of her chambers. From what I experienced while trying to have a word with her, I could deduce that she probably wou

  • Return of the Rejected Lycan Princess    Meeting The Moon Goddess

Jake's POV I couldn’t help the weight of uncertainty that pressed on me as I made my way through the pack with the werecouncil members. It was already close to dawn but the men were adamant so we still gathered even though it was later than we planned. I just hoped that no one caught us trying to leave the pack. It would be really fatal for me if I got more on Audrey's bad side and she stopped treating me like everyone else but more like Kendrick and Jenni. I trembled throughout the entire ride from the palace until we got to the border of the pack. The guards didn't say anything to us except from wishing us a safe journey as every single one of us were affluent men and soon, we were on the path leading to the imperial city to seek guidance from the Moon Goddess herself. I told Jenni to tell the queen I was ill and on bed rest if she asked of me. I couldn't ask Kendrick to do that as he would ask why I wanted him to cover for me and I didn't want to let him know about what was hap

  • Return of the Rejected Lycan Princess    Confessions

Kendrick's POV I was so annoyed as I stood in front of Jake trying to convince him to tell me what was happening. Jake ought not to be hiding anything from me right now, things were crazy with Audrey's rule. I felt like I was going mad with anger the moment that Jenni told me that Jake told her to tell Audrey that he was sick and on bed rest. "So... What exactly happened is that... Okay, let me start in a different way. Do you remember when I came with one of the werecouncil members and we requested to see Audrey only for you to say that she was resting?" Jake muttered. "Yes, but how does that relate to what we're talking about?" I fired at him. "It has everything to do with what we're talking about actually." "How about you just get to the main story already?" "So that man called me to the werecouncil meeting they organized," Jake told me and I frowned. "What werecouncil meeting? How could there be a werecouncil meeting and I did not know?" "They organized it without you," he

  • Return of the Rejected Lycan Princess    A Strange Uprising

Audrey's POV I was really angry when I sent a servant to call Kendrick over only to be told that he went out. Even this morning, I called him over and he took so long before coming to answer my call. It was all very infuriating. Now, he had left claiming that he needed to freshen up and eat as he had come straight out of bed to see me. So, I had let him go because I hadn't thought out the errands I needed to assign him. However, I was already growing out of patience as I wanted to see him immediately and tell him to do something, anything. I wanted him to be suffering constantly without any moment of rest. "Maid!" I yelled. "Maid!" "Yes, My Queen," a maid bowed as she ran into my room. "Did you want me to scream my lungs out before you would come here?" I scolded her angrily. "I apologize, My Queen." "Now, I want you to go and bring Kendrick here, immediately!" "I will do that," she replied hurriedly and ran out of the room. She soon returned to tell me that Jenni told her

  • Return of the Rejected Lycan Princess    A sincere confrontation

Kendrick's POV I was very glad to see Audrey looking very pleased as I sang and even more excited when she actually smiled at me when I was done. This was my chance to try apologizing again now that the walls in her mind were down. Maybe I could get her to genuinely listen this time. "Audrey..." I slowly began, wanting to test the waters and when she didn't say anything even though her smile dropped, I knew that I had to speak now. “Is there a way for us to move past this? To find a way and rebuild?” I asked and she turned to look at me. She still didn't say anything so I immediately began proclaiming my remorsefulness. However, she just continued staring at me as I spoke so I kept talking because I didn't know if I was doing enough. She was just looking at me as I spoke with no emotions whatsoever reflecting in her eyes and eventually I became nervous so brought my apologies to a conclusion. "Audrey, what do you think?" I asked when I had stopped for a few minutes but she

  • Return of the Rejected Lycan Princess    His jealous bride

Kendrick's POV I felt so drained as I made my way back to my room in the palace, tired of living life this way and bearing the burden of Audrey's anger. It wasn't like I did all that for no reason but after being with her in this period, I had realized that it actually wasn't her fault that she messed up my life. And even if it was her fault, the punishment I gave her was way too much for her offense. Maybe I deserved all this suffering after all, maybe I should take this as karma and stop trying to beg for mercy. As I walked into the room, I met Jenni pacing about the room furiously and despite how I was feeling, I couldn't help but feel slightly worried. “Did something happen?” I asked her. “Nothing in particular,” she replied and made to walk out of the room but I grabbed her arm before she could leave. Jenni had never been the type to give that sort of answer. She always spoke her mind on every single issue and that was probably why bottling whatever she was thinking u

Epilogue Readers' POV "Uggh!" William groaned as he arched his back. He loosened his grip on Kendrick and staggered backwards. Kendrick coughed and sat up tiredly. He finally noticed that an arrow had pierced the back of William's head. There was not healing or coming back from that! Kendrick sighed in relief and looked around for the person who shot it. From the balcony on the second floor, he saw Jenni standing there with her bow drawn. She seemed to be shocked by what she had just done as she stared wide eyes at her bow. Jenni came back! That was shocking, after she suddenly left him because he went back to Audrey. Kendrick diverted his gaze back to William, who had now collapsed on the floor. He seemed to stare longingly in a particular direction as the light faded from his eyes and he went on a journey to the underworld. He looked in the direction William was looking and saw that he was staring at Audrey! Annoying prick! He just didn't want to let her

  • Return of the Rejected Lycan Princess    Williams, oh Williams.

Readers' POV After they both marked each other, they shared a really nice kiss and after so many hours of talking, imagining their futures together, they finally slept. The next morning, Audrey jolted from the bed and she opened her eyes instantly. She looked around and she saw Kendrick sleeping peacefully, with his hand lying lazily on her waist. She had thought that her mating with Kendrick was a really good dream that she badly wanted to come to pass. She touched her neck and she could still feel the heat from last night. She pushed her head into the pillow and smiled. It wasn't a dream at all. It really happened. She turned her head to face Kendrick. She didn't want to wake him up, but she couldn't help touching his face, nose, hair and literally everything her hand could touch at that moment. She was touching his hair, when her eyes went to his lips and she started using her index finger to trace the little line around his lips. She was really enjoying what sh

  • Return of the Rejected Lycan Princess    I belong to you now

Kendrick's POV "Find him!" My voice boomed across the kitchen and Audrey flinched as well as the rest of the sentries who scampered out after my outburst. "Hey," I said softly, reaching for Audrey, but she flinched again, breathing hard and fast, staring at the direction in which Williams had gone, eyes wide with fear and despair. "Ar--" A whimper escaped her and I hated that I could smell her fear. I hated that she trembled so much. It hadn't been long since I had made her go through the same fear. I had made those tears drop from her eyes, broken her spirit, broken her heart, and...seeing her now, with the same fear in her eyes…I hated myself for everything I had done to her. "Audrey," I said, barely able to hear my voice over my raging heart. Audrey didn't either as her sobs began in full earnest. It was like I didn't exist. She couldn't see me. Or hear me. She was scared out of her mind. "Audrey!" I roared, unable to keep my wolf at bay. Her gaze snappe

  • Return of the Rejected Lycan Princess    Williams is here

Audrey's pov Inside my room, we lay cuddled against each other, as we slept soundly. Time ticked by slowly. I soon untangled myself from Kendrick and turned to the other side of the bed while sleeping. I began to fidget little by little. My face soon morphed into a frown. I began shaking my head subtly from left to right. My body tensed and I instantly shot up. I was panting like I had just run a marathon. My eyes were dazed and unfocused as I seemed not to see everything around me. Kendrick also woke up after he heard my panting. When he looked towards me and saw my disheveled state, panic and worry settled in him. He crawled out from under the covers briskly as he came to stop before me. He saw that I was totally unfocused so he cradled my face and made me look into his eyes. He already had a vague idea of what happened. "Baby! Look at me! You are all right! I'm here! I'll always be here. He cannot hurt you!" He comforted as he rubbed my face soothingly.

  • Return of the Rejected Lycan Princess    I love you

Audrey's povDays later... When I saw Kendrick looking like he was half dead in Eric's hands, my heart skipped so many beats and I ran towards him. At the moment, I was just thinking one thing; Kendrick. My eyes were so focused on him. When I was just a few steps away from him, Eric stretched his hand forward, to stop me from moving any closer to Kendrick. When he did that, I looked up at him with confusion written all over my face. I didn't know why Eric stopped me from hugging Kendrick when he clearly needed my hug more than ever. "I'm still the queen, don't forget that,"I I said, and ignored his stretched out hand. I tried moving closer to him, but this time, I continued pushing his hand. I backed away from Eric and Kendrick and I left the way for him to bring Kendrick in. I walked past him and I went to the bed without answering Eric. When I got to the bed, I grabbed his hands and I placed soft kisses on both of them. I dropped the left one and I raised

  • Return of the Rejected Lycan Princess    Williams wants Audrey

Kendrick's POV After checking her, the doctor confirmed that she was okay, and slowly woke her up. When the doctor left, I tried convincing Audrey to sleep, but she continued refusing as I continued asking. She looked really tired and I knew that she was going to pass out if she didn't sleep in the next few seconds, so I didn't give up. I still continued telling her to sleep, but she wasn't having it at all. It got to a stage and I started begging her to sleep. "Please, just sleep. For me? You can do that for me, can't you?" I tried making puppy dog eyes, but it didn't work. It only made her laugh loudly at how ridiculous I looked. She hit my shoulder playfully and she told me that she was fully awake, even when her eyes were closing every second. "Of course, I can do that for you." I looked into her eyes and asked her, "what's the problem, then? I knew I was never important to you." I removed her hand from my hand and slightly pushed her away in a playful mann

  • Return of the Rejected Lycan Princess    Audrey is awake!

Kendrick's POV After we saw that Audrey was now stabilized, we took her back to the pack house to rest properly. I stayed with her till it was late, and I went back to my room because I knew that if Audrey was awake, she would have been so angry at me spending the night in her room, regardless of the situation. I sat on my bed as I held on to my head, memories of what had happened earlier replaying in my head again. I screamed in anger as I threw my pillow to the floor, as that scene kept replaying in my head. I dragged the duvet off the bed and started ripping it with my bare hands, imagining it to be the leader of the rogues. Still angry, I went to the vase on the table, picked it and started smashing it against the wall and while I did that, I imagined it to be the leader’s head. To continue, I started kicking against the wall angrily, while I screamed in anger and pain. I fell to the ground as I punched against it in anger, hatred and betrayal. I kept on seei

  • Return of the Rejected Lycan Princess    The sacrifice

Audrey's pov After everything, I started hearing some noises outside. It sounded like a fight was going on, or about to start. That caught my attention, as I stormed out to check. Oh no! Just like I thought, a fight was really going on, but it was just a fight, it was more like a war. The rogue pack that we fought with recently were back, and they seemed like they were in for a big one. The leader stood in front of them, and glared at me. Slowly, I backed away out of fear and suddenly felt someone's hand around mine. I flinched, and was about moving away when I saw that it was Kendrick;he stood beside me in defense, with his eyes fixed on the rogues pack. "Why are you here? Aren't you scared to be back here?" Eric shouted from the back of us, and I glanced back to see the whole pack members assembled behind us. The leader chuckled inwardly, before the dirty frown settled on his face again. "We are not here for any of you, we are here for him," he said, po

The stupid girl couldn't do a job properly and almost got me killed. The poison wasn't meant to kill anyway, a good thing since I ended up talk it. It was meant to weaken and cause Aubrey pain, so she wouldn't be able to keep seducing my husband and acting all mighty for days. I deepened me elbow and I saw her wince in pain. "So you tried to kill me?" I said. "No,.. no.. my lady. I would never do that... It was a mistake!" Maria was hysteric, pleading with all that she had, she was crying already, her eyes red. "You know what would happen if I say that you were the one who poisoned the food right? Because in a way you did" Maria nodded now full on bawling, she clasped her fingers over her mouth to prevent her cries from echoing. "Please my lady..
