I turned slowly with leaden feet on hearing Kendrick's voice call me and met his green eyes fixed on me.

"Is there anything you want? Why have you been following me?"

"Audrey...", he began but I raised up a hand.

"The Audrey you are looking for is dead, Princess Emerald is all that's left of her and you would do well to address her properly," I snapped then dropped my hand and his eyes narrowed slightly.

"Fine, Princess Emerald. I'm sorry for not addressing you as I ought to," he sighed.

"How can you ask me what I want? You were informed before you retired to your room that we had arranged a meeting between some of the people of the pack and you. We even informed you that they were already prepared to meet with you but you said you needed to rest first and we let you do that," he complained.
