Elizabeth stepped forward and gave a small hug before pulling away “How are you doing?”
Alisha just gave a small smile at this question as she said “I am doing okay mom…” and squeezed Elizabeth’s hands that she was holding “How is Elena doing?”
Elizabeth’s face tightened slightly. She pressed her lips into a thin line before answering "Her condition is stable now... but she hasn't regained consciousness yet."
Alisha nodded, worry flickering in her eyes. She hesitated a second before speaking again, her voice dropping a little.
"Anyway... I needed to speak with you. Can we go somewhere private?"
Elizabeth’s gaze sharpened at that, sensing the weight behind Alisha’s request. Without asking further, she gave a small nod and gestured for Alisha to follow her down a quieter hallway, away from the open court
