The glint of uncertainty and fear that was in his eyes, flashed through my head and most importantly, all the negative things that were being spoken about him.

I was snapped out of my reverie when Elodie leaned over, her eyes brightening as she grinned. “Marcel, be honest with me. Do you think that I did well?”

As a smile crossed my face, I nodded. “You did exceedingly well. What we need to do now is focus on the next course of action”

“I hope that you are ready,”

She bobbed her head and when she turned her eyes away from me, this emptiness surged inside of me. Being around Elodie did things that I never understood and around her, I felt things that I had never experienced.
