Chapter Thirty One

Mason's POV.

It wasn't my car, I had managed to swerve just in time to avoid the incoming trailer driving on high speed. It crashed right into the car behind me.

“Why would you take your eyes off the road? We almost died, don't do that again please.”

“Stop sounding like I purposely did it, you were looking at me with such pretty eyes. What would you have me do, ignore them?”

Elena blushed, her face turning red. “Just stop teasing me and start the car already, you are already running late. My father doesn't like being kept waiting.”

“Well, that's not really any of my problem you know? He hasn't fully accepted me into the family, so why'd you think I would want to hurry up to see him. I'm pretty sure he's going to ask me the same question as last time.” I said, inserting the key to start the car.

The car wasn't starting, and I growled in frustration. We were packed on the highway, I knew I couldn't care less but then keeping a woman under this weather would be evil of me.
