Lany was even more amazed when she saw how big the room was. It was so relaxing inside as if she feels like she will live like a princess here. Way too far from what she had experienced living in their camp.

After a while, Jeric said that he would leave her inside the room first to cook something for them to eat.

"Feel at home, huh," Jeric said with a smile on his face and then turned his back to the omega.

"A-Are you the only one living here in such a big house?"

Jeric heard Lany's question and looked at her again.

"Uhm…  The maids are also staying here. So if you need anything, just call them and they will get it for you. I have two maids here. The one was assigned to do laundry and the other one to clean the whole house," Jeric explained.

Lany just nodded in response to what she heard.

"How about cooking? Who is assigned to do it?" Lany continued asking.

"The one who's cooking is..." Jeric suddenly stopped and couldn't continue speaking when he remembered that he shouldn't tell her that Chadrick was the one who was cooking for him. That after his activities at the camp, he regularly comes here to cook for him. "T-The one who's cooking is none other than me."

"Yeah… I know how to cook well. And I was about to cook now," Jeric replied after deciding that he would just insist to himself that he knows how to cook.

Lany just nodded after hearing what Jeric said.

"I'll leave you now here and I'll just cook something to eat," Jeric said and then he turned around and went to the kitchen to do what he said.

As he arrived at the kitchen, he immediately prepared the ingredients for the macaroni soup. As a respectable alpha in their pack and a popular personality in the city as the owner of the twin towers that are famous around the world, this is the first time that he will try to cook.

He wasn't sure about the possible outcome but he still need to try it, especially since he told that omega that he knew how to cook.

But he wasn't able to make that simple dish even though he followed all of what Chadrick had told him. He already wasted some ingredients and he really struggles as he can't get the right taste that he wants.

He was a little surprised when he suddenly saw Chadrick who was already next to him.

"What are you doing here? Lany might see you here," Jeric immediately said with worries in his voice. He even pushed Chadrick slightly away from him.

"I'm not worried about that omega to see us. I'm worried that you might get hurt by what you're doing," Chadrick answered in a hard voice as if he was scolding his superior.

And even though he pushed him away, he still insisted on helping him with the cooking. Then he took the knife from him and continued what his superior was trying to do.

"I'll just prepare everything until I put it under the fire. I'll also add seasonings to it so that you don't have any more problems. All you have to do later is to watch it until completely cooked," Chadrick said as he started to slice ​​the ingredients needed. "Don't worry, it's just for a minute, so I won't be here for long."

"Okay. Just hurry up," Jeric replied and he just let Chadrick do the cooking. He just looked behind them and Lany might suddenly come out of her room.

Meanwhile, Lany is still smiling as she thinks that an alpha is cooking for her. But almost thirty minutes had already passed, he still hadn’t called her. She wondered why it took him so long to cook, so she thought of checking him in the kitchen.

She was stunned and immediately stepped back when she saw who was with him in the kitchen and helping him with the cooking. He then started walking in the direction where she was standing. She hurried back to her room and a few moments later, he came and called her. "D-Did you cook it by yourself?" Lany asked Jeric as they were eating the macaroni soup that he cooked.

"Yes, I did," Jeric replied immediately. "Why? Don't you like it?"

"Of course, I like it. I'm just glad that I was able to meet an alpha who knows how to cook," Lany replied while smiling at the alpha who's in front of her.

"Is that so? Then let's enjoy eating," Jeric said while smiling at the omega as well. "Do you want me to cook for you every day?"

"No, no, no, Alpha. You don't have to do that. I'll do it for you instead," Lany answered immediately.

Jeric just nodded after hearing the answer of the omega. He thought that it was really better if she's the one to cook next time, that's why he immediately agreed with what she said. He's not actually the one who cook what they're eating now, but Chadrick. All he did was to check it.

Meanwhile, Lany suddenly felt suspicion on the alpha who's in front of her now. She was sure that he was hiding something as he lied to her that he was the one who cooked what they were eating now. She clearly saw with her two eyes that someone helped him earlier. And it's none other than the alpha who intercepted the ruthless Mondrei who wanted to take her. "Never mind. Let's just continue eating so that you can rest," Jeric said.

They continued eating. And Jeric did not ask questions anymore. He knew that this omega was still traumatized because of what happened, so he would let her rest first after eating.

When they finished eating, Jeric told Lany to go to her room to have a rest and he also had things he needed to fix.

Lany straightened herself first before she lay down on the bed. She washed her face and then she put on the dress that Jeric gave her.

She then dropped her body on the bed. And while lying down, her eyes looked straight at the ceiling. At that moment, everything that happened to her and her parents suddenly flashbacked in her mind. Until tears gradually flowed down from her eyes.

"I promise you, Mother, Father, wherever you are, I will do everything to get you back. And I will do everything to get revenge for what they did to our entire pack," Lany said, full of hatred and anger.

Lany woke up early in the morning and immediately cooked for the alpha who helped her, although she still has doubts if he was really helping her or if he has another purpose for taking her. The question of why he lied to her still lingered inside her mind.

Then Jeric averted his eyes after nodding when she heard the omega's answer.

And Lany also returned her attention to cooking. Then she suddenly thought of something that suddenly calmed down the thought that was bothering her mind. She thought of taking advantage of what Jeric was doing, helping her. If he has a connection with Mondrei and the whole Night Walkers Pack, she doesn't care anymore. It was late at night when Lany came out of the room and walked towards the living room. She saw Jeric there and it looked like he was talking seriously to someone on his cellphone.
