On The Next Full Moon

Jeric looked like a statue from where he was standing as he felt Lany's hands gently caressing his arms. He wants to avoid and distance himself from her as he felt even hotter and was afraid that he might get into a situation that he doesn't want to happen. But he found it strange because it seemed like something was holding him back and on one side of his mind, it seemed like he just wanted to let her do what she wanted and look forward to what she would do next.

For a few more moments, he felt that her body gently stuck to his back. Until he felt that she was already hugging him and the two big and soft things in her chest were hitting his back.

"W-W-What are you d-doing?" Jeric asked, although he was barely able to pronounce the words properly.

"It's cold, Alpha," Lany replied in an almost whispered voice and seemed seductive. "C-Can I hug you even for just a little while?"

Jeric didn't answer. He forced himself to get away from the omega's arms instead and walked away from her. But she immediately grabbed his hand and pulled him closer to her.

Their bodies got to each other again, but this time they were facing each other. He couldn't help but look into her eyes and they stared at each other for a few seconds.

"Y-You shouldn't be doing this," Jeric said after averting his gaze from Lany. He wanted to harden his voice to let her know that he was serious and what she was doing was not right but he ended up speaking in front of her so softly. He hesitated and thought that she might be offended or embarrassed.

"I-I am sorry, Alpha," Lany replied, still in a soft voice. "C-Can't I choose you as the Alpha mated for me?"

Jeric looked at Lany again because of what he heard from her and they stared at each other again.

"It's not something that we can decide for ourselves, Lany. We have to go through the mating process," Jeric replied and then he slipped away from Lany's grip on him again and walked away from her.

Lany just sighed as she failed in her attempt to seduce the alpha who helped her. Maybe it's too early to do that, but in her situation, every hour is so important and she doesn't have to waste every chance that she gets.

"I'm sorry, Alpha. But I'll do everything to make you mine. You'll be the key for me to get justice for my entire pack and take my revenge on Mondrei and the entire Night Walkers Pack. I need you, for me to be able to save my parents and get them back from Mondrei," Lany said to herself as she watched Jeric walking away from her.

"I have a feeling that you knew Mondrei very well and you are somehow connected to him and to what he did to our entire pack," Lany continued until she lost sight of the alpha who headed to his room.

She just sat down and touched her chest. She could feel the force of its thump. Then she hurried back to her room as she came back to her senses and noticed that she was not wearing a bra and she only had a very thin dress. She was not wearing shorts as well and it's only her underwear that's hiding the lower private part of her body.

Meanwhile, when Jeric got inside his room, he immediately sat down in his bed and touched his chest. He felt that it was pounding so fast. He then just shook his head because of the thought that he was about to fall for what the omega wanted to happen. His body started to heat up earlier when the two big and soft things on her chest hit his back. Especially when they face each other and he got to notice the beautiful shape of her body that seemed innocent to any sexual activity. Although it was still covered by her dress, she still got his attention because it was so thin and she was not wearing a bra.

He's starting to wonder now what she's trying to do. Did she just make an attempt to seduce him? Why did she suddenly ask him if she could choose him as the alpha mated for her?

He shook his head again while thinking about those things. He just tried to get those thoughts out of his mind as he was also facing a lot of problems.

His parents continue pressuring him as they are forcing him to accept the position in their pack and do his duties at the camp. And that also includes forcing him to go through the mating process. He also has problems in the city because some people question his identity as the owner of the twin towers of the City of Potot.

He then just lay down on the bed but it didn't take long and his cellphone suddenly rang. He immediately looked at who was calling and he just shook his head when he saw that it was Chadrick. He immediately thought that he might tell him another problem. However, he still answered it and asked what the problem was.

"Your parents keep on insisting that you need to go here at the camp, Alpha Jeric. I'm the one who always gets the scolding from them as you keep on ignoring them. They think I'm not telling you the messages they want to send you," Chadrick replied immediately, who was on the other line after Jeric asked why he suddenly called him at that time.

"I know why they want me to go there. It's about the position in the pack and the mating process," Jeric replied while being a little annoyed.

"Because the next full moon is about to come, Alpha Jeric."

"I know, I know. But why did you call me at this hour?" Jeric continued, still with frustration in his voice.

"You know your parents. Whenever they order something, you have to follow them immediately regardless of the time," Chadrick replied, who's still on the other line.

"Okay, okay. Tell them, I'm going to the next full moon celebration at the camp."

"How about the omega who's with you now? Don't tell me, you're going to take her with you to our camp," Chadrick continued.

Jeric was stunned and could not immediately answer his friend's question. What's he really going to do with Lany when he goes to their camp? Will he take her with him or just leave her at his house?

"What, Alpha Jeric? Why can't you answer? Are you really planning to take her here to the camp? How are you going to introduce her to your parents and the whole pack? Are you sure that our pack will accept her?" Chadrick continued who was still on the other line when he heard no answer from Jeric.

"Don't be too inquisitive, Chadrick. I'll take care of it, okay," Jeric replied and then he said goodbye to his friend and cut the line. Then he lay down on the bed and looked at the ceiling as he thought of Chadrick's questions. If he would take Lany to their camp. And just in case he does take her with him, how will he introduce her to his parents and the whole pack.

He then just forced himself to close his eyes and forgot those thoughts.

Jeric woke up the next morning and noticed through the window of his room that the sun was already high. He then looked at the time on his wristwatch and immediately got up when he saw that it was already eight o'clock in the morning. If he hadn't heard his cellphone ringing, he might still be asleep until now.

Then he looked at who was calling and just shook his head when he saw that it was Chadrick again.

"Oh, what do you need at this hour?" Jeric asked in a sluggish voice as if he didn't want to talk to him.

"I just want to remind you about the next full moon," Chadrick replied who's on the other line. "And please don't get mad at me. It's your mom who ordered me to call you. She even shouted at me when I didn't dial your phone number right away. She said if you don't have time to visit them here at the camp, make sure that you won't miss the next full moon celebration."

"Yeah, okay. Tell them, I'll be there. So don't call me again if you're just going to remind me about that," Jeric said annoyingly and then he cut the line and put down his cellphone.

After tidying up himself, he then left the room and went straight to the kitchen to drink some water. He was a little surprised when he got there and noticed a lot of food being prepared on the table and seemed like it was just waiting for him to wake up.

"You're awake, Alpha."

Jeric was even more surprised when he heard Lany's voice from behind him. He immediately turned to her and saw her gentle face with a sweet and wide smile.

"I've already prepared breakfast for you. I-I hope you like it," Lany continued as Jeric looked at her.

"You don't have to do it. But anyway, thank you for the effort," Jeric said and then he sat down and took a bite of the egg roll cooked by Lany.

"How is it, Your Highness?" Lany asked while being a little nervous.

"It's good. I love it. But please don't call me that way. I'm not a king or anyone superior in this world. I'm just living like a normal alpha. So, just act normal like the first time we met," Jeric commented.

"But still..." Lany didn't finish what she was going to say when Jeric spoke again.

"It's okay. Just join me here. It's unfair if I will be the only one to eat all of it. It's like, you're the one who got tired and put an effort into it, but I'm the only one who will eat it," Jeric said seriously.

"You deserve to be served like this, Alpha. Because you are..." Lany's speech was interrupted again and she was unable to finish it when Jeric spoke again.

"That's enough, Omega. I am ordering you to sit down and join me from eating breakfast."

Lany was stunned by what Jeric said and immediately sat down on the chair in front of him as she felt a little nervous because of his serious voice and facial expression.

"Don't take it seriously. I'm just joking," Jeric said while smiling as he noticed that Lany seemed nervous and slightly scared by what he said. "I just want you to join me."

"T-Thank you, Alpha," Lany replied, a little shyly, and then she took a plate and joined Jeric in eating breakfast.

They were just quiet while eating. Jeric was busy scrolling on his cellphone while Lany couldn't find the courage to speak in front of the alpha, especially since her attempt to seduce him last night was still fresh in her mind as she ended up failing.

But she was being bothered by her conscience, especially since Jeric is still showing her good treatment despite what she did last night. So she really forced herself to speak and brought up to him about it.

"A-About last night..." Lany said shyly with almost no words coming out of her mouth. "I-I'm sorry if I did that. S-Sometimes, I lose myself and I hardly know if I'm still behaving the right way."

Jeric lifted his face and stopped scrolling on his cellphone when he heard Lany speak. He put it down the table as well and faced the omega seriously.

"Would you like to come with me to our camp next full moon? It's gonna be next week?" Jeric said seriously to Lany.

Lany was stunned and couldn't immediately answer the alpha's question. She didn't expect that question from him and she couldn't understand why he asked her that.

"T-The next full moon? T-The mating process..." Lany's speech was interrupted again when Jeric continued speaking.

"Yes, there is also a mating process that will take place in our camp," Jeric continued. "You asked me last night if you could choose me as the alpha mated for you. Why don't you come with me to our camp and find an answer to your question?"

"Are you s-serious? W-Will you really take me to your camp?" Lany asked, still incredulously. She even stared at the alpha who was in front of her and focused herself on listening to what he would answer.

"Yes, I'm serious," Jeric replied while also staring at the omega. "So, what is your answer?"

Lany just nodded in response as she still almost can't believe what she heard from the alpha who was in front of her.
