Chapter 11: Revelations

Chapter 11: Revelations. 

The past few days have been so lame. Like going to school, then going home immediately unless my friends are inviting me to go out. 

I am inside the library of the university for some research, I quietly turn the pages of the book while writing the important details on my notes. 

"Psst!" I look around to see who's calling. There I saw Ali and Jen. Jen is still hanging out with us, though her name has already debuted in the public. Her movie is coming up.

I look at them and give them a sign to sit with me. They quietly move the chair so they can't make any noise, because some of the students are studying here too. 

"Bakla. Binigyan tayo ni Jen ng ticket para sa movie niya. VIP tayo sis!" Bulong ni Ali, I can sense that she really wanted to scream due to excitement, but she really stopped herself. To respect other people here in the library. 

"Kailan ba yan?" Bulong ko din sa kanya. 

"Next month." Jen whispered to us. 

I took the other ticket to Ali, so I can come. I wanted to support Jen. Besides, she's now my friend, so  it's alright to support her no matter what. 

Ali and Jen need to research for their assignment too. We stayed inside the library for about two hours, until the next class. 

I'm on my way to my last class which is my major sub. 

When I arrived at the room, I noticed that some of my classmates were absent. When my Professor arrived I started to listen to what she's saying. I am not smart but I am studious and I am content with that. 

It's another two hours of classes for me. 

For the two hours of classes in this sub, I was about to sleep due to my Professor bellow sound of voice. 

I try to open my eyes very wide so I am still awake. Thank God, the faculty announced a meeting for Professor so the class ended so early! 

I am excited to go home, so I can sleep because I'm really sleepy. Ali and Jen have important things to do after the class, in other words "walang inom ngayon" so I have to go home early. 

When I reach the street outside the university, I plan to book a grab. While I was scrolling my phone, I thought heaven is calling because of the light that dazzled my eyes. Kanino bang kotse to at ang lakas makasilaw ng sasakyan. 

"Hi, Miss!" Of course it's him. 

"You have plans tonight?" He asked me, I didn't see him clearly because of the light coming from his car. 

"Sana, marunong ka mag patay ng ilaw no?" I yell at him. He noticed that and turned off that freaking light. 

"Wala bakit?" Sagot ko sa tanong niya kanina. 

"Well, that's good. Come with me!" After he said that, he grabbed my arm and forced me to get into his car. I was so shocked to the point that I couldn't even say something. 

My mouth dropped so bad, because of his actions. 

"Problema mo bakit bigla bigla kang nang hihila?" I asked him. But he just shrugged and started the engine of his car so we could leave. 

Feeling ko naman nag aaya siyang kumain kami sa restaurant. I convinced myself. 

I count the number of street lights I found in the street of course.

34" I scream when I count the final light. Then his car suddenly stopped. I look at him but he is busy loosening his seat belt. 

"What? Let's go." He commanded. 

I jumped off to his car immediately, mas nauna pa siya sa akin maglakad. Dun ko lang nalaman na dinala niya ako sa bahay niya. Hindi sa condo unit kung hindi sa bahay, jusko baka makasagupa ko pa si Congressman. 

"Hoy, nang iiwan ha!" Sabi ko habang, habol habol siya. 

When we finally entered their house, I could see a lot of media assembling in the living room. 

"Ano meron?" Pasimple kong tanong sa kanya, he didn't bother to look at me. He just stared at his Dad talking to some people. 

"Rage Suarez, my son!" His Dad welcomed him with a warm hug, I just stayed here at his back. I don't want anyone to see me. 

A lot of press media are taking pictures of their encounter, as if they haven't met for years. 

I just stay quiet and do nothing. 

Until… .

"Who is she, Rage?" I heard a woman ask, then there the media caught me. 

The flash of the camera is now surrounded in my direction. I look at Rage, baka sakaling madaan siya sa tingin. Bakit ba kami andito? 

"She's my girl." Rage simply answered and wrapped his arm in my waist. I don't know how to react, mas lalong lumakas ang pag pindot ng mga reporter sa camera nila. Thinking that this is a big scoop. 

Shuta, bakit ba desisyon ang lalaking to. 

I slammed his arm, but he wrapped it back to my waist. 

The reporter is now asking questions about us. 

"So, what's your family background Miss?" Someone asked, I can't see clearly where they are. 

"I'm sorry but my babe, is not going to answer anything related to her privacy." My jaw dropped hearing Rage answered for me. 

"So, how long have you guys been in a relationship?" They asked again. Pakiramdam ko nasusuka ako. 

"As of now, we are keeping it secret!" Rage is the one who answers their question. 

"So, are you running for election Rage? Aside from acting in showbiz?" My eyes widened when I heard the next question. I slowly look at him and see his reaction about the question. But I haven't seen anything from his face. Fuck him, all this time he fooled me. Like he has a lot of time to tell me what he is, but he keeps saying that it doesn't matter, and he likes to be with someone who doesn't know who he is. Am I a big joke to him? Lying to me like that? 

"I am not running in the election, that's it." He said it, just like that. 

"Everyone, enough for tonight. I want to talk to the new couple right here. Thanks for coming everyone, and wait for my further announcement about my election campaign. Thank you and have a good night. Guards!" Congressman Suarez said, interrupting the media. He called the guards, to guide the press media to leave this house. 

I sat on the couch, I distanced myself to Rage. I don't want him to talk to me. 

When Congressman Suarez, go back to the living room. I immediately stood up to say goodbye because I don't think I can stay here for a longer time. Being with Rage now is not a good idea, he lied to me. 

"Congressman Suarez, I think--" Before I finished my words, he slapped Rage in front of me and to his guards. I cover my mouth because of the shock. 

Rage touched his cheek, where his father slapped him. I don't know if I have to say something or just watch. 

"How could you ruin my announcement to run for election. Is this how you pay me, for what I fucking done to you?" He slapped his son again. Before I get mad to Rage, but now to his father too. So, Rage used me to annoy his father. I don't know his issue with his Dad but what is happening right now is inappropriate. 

"Didn't you get it, I'm stopping you from running. Why? Because you will be corrupt again, stealing money from the people of The Philippines. Doing your bad shit, and many more." Then the two body guards come to Rage, they holding Rage arm and Congressman Suarez, give them a sign. Then they started beating Rage. 

"Oh my God." I shouted, I don't know if I'm going to stop them or not. 

This is too much to handle. I didn't know that Congressman Suarez is a corrupt politician. All these years I thought he was good. 

It took a minute when they finally stopped beating Rage. Para akong naging yelo sa mga nasaksihan ko ngayon. 

"How about Achi? Aren't you going to announce that you have a younger son? I mean illegitimate son?" Rage smirked to his father, his father looked at him while drinking whiskey. 

"Stop ruining this family, Limuel." His father yelled at him. 

"You started it. Everything happened right now is because of you. Mom took her own life because of what you're doing, you literally killed her. You punk!" His Dad took a deep breath. Before turning to his son. 

"You don't have any idea what you're talking about. Yes, this goddamn mess is because of me. You should be glad, cause I am not forcing you to take over my bad doing shits." Are they fighting in front of me? May bisita oh? 

"Be glad? No need. This is going to be the last time I'm stopping you from your shits, because next time. I'm gonna expose you." Rage warned his father. 

"So, you want to end up like your Mom?" After his father said that, Rage reaction changed. He grabbed his father's collar and punched him in the face. 

"What are you talking about? Tell me, what did you do to my Mom?" Rage said. He is really angry, my god he's so scary to see. 

"Guard, get him and his girl out of this house!" His father commanded. Some guards went to me and grabbed my arms. 

"Don't you dare lay a hand on her!" Rage looks at the bodyguard who is about to harrass me. 

The guards let me go. Rage too. 

That night Rage accompanied me from my home. We didn't talk inside the car, until we reached my house. 

This is too many revelations, rather than his admitting that he is in a relationship with me. Congressman Suarez is doomed if that happened.
