Chapter 30 - Misunderstanding

Eric POV

I kept seeing flits of a movie in front of my eyes. Julia, my mate, my future. Louise, threatening me with taking my pup from me. Wait. Was Louise pregnant? I needed to find out and ensure the pup was not mine. Julia was my mate. I would not give her up. I could not give her up.

I felt myself starting to wake up and moved my arm expecting to find Julia lying beside me. But all I felt were cold sheets. I slowly opened my eyes, looking around the room. It was empty. When I had fallen asleep, she was in my arms. Where would she have gone?

I started to move, when the machine beside me started to go off. I looked down and saw that I was attached to machines. I moved to pull the IV from my arm, when the doctor rushed in. “Do not do that, Prince Eric. You need the medication inside that bag!” he declared.
