Leon’s POV

“Well, I’ve only heard that. I don’t know for sure because I wasn’t the only one who saw her go there. When I was training the young wolves, someone was talking about you and because I was curious, I immediately asked him.”

Harley’s explanation made me even more curious. Is it true that Isabella went to the witch’s place?

“Which wolf saw Isabella go to the witch’s place?”

Harley looked at all the young wolves. “I don’t think he’s coming to practice today.”

“Okay, I’ll wait for him.”

I need an explanation from him. If it’s true that Isabella went to the witch’s place, what is he going to do? Is this related to Isabella’s disappearance some time ago?

I’ve been at the young wolf training ground for three days and the man Harley was referring to hasn’t shown up yet. Based on his friend’s explanation, the young man is still busy working in the city and will be training once a week. So will I need more than three more days here? That would be a waste of my time. I decided to go back to the city and look for the man myself. I didn't want to miss the moment to meet Ariane. I also shared with her mother about our problem, hopefully she can help.

I went straight to the bar where the young wolf worked. I told the owner of the bar to chat with one of his employees. Because of my charisma and I also told him who I really was, he easily permitted me.

"Alpha Leon? Why did you come to see me?" He asked.

I looked at his face. It was true that he was a young wolf who was training at my place. But I didn't know his name. "What's your name?"

"My name is Bree."

I nodded. I showed him Isabella's photo. "Is it true that you've seen her at the witch's place?"

Bree looked closely at Isabella's photo. "Yes, I've seen her at the witch's house for quite some time, Alpha. But is she your mate?"

"That's none of your business. I'm just asking what her purpose of coming there is?" I don't like it when other people interfere in my personal problems.

“Sorry, Alpha. About three years ago I intended to meet a witch to free my girlfriend from prison. I accidentally heard your name there. She said that she wanted to take you from your wife. I also don't understand whether the Leon she meant was you or not. I also heard that Ariane's name had to be slandered by she who came to the witch and expelled Isabella.”

I think Bree's explanation is enough. I now know who really slandered and was slandered. So Isabella trapped Ariane with the slander that she did through the witch. Insolent! How could I not know about this?

“Okay, thank you for the information you gave.”

I immediately left the bar. I better meet Isabella to ask for an explanation from her. I contacted her first so I could pressure her to come to my house. I don't want to come to her house.

“I told you you would definitely look for me, honey. Now you realize who truly loves you, right?” Isabella said.

I smiled lopsidedly. “Yes, I already know who truly loves me and never lies.”

“Of course it’s me. I’ve known Ariane for a long time, and somehow, you two have to be together even though you’re not compatible at all.”

She was too sure and made me even more aware of the woman in front of me right now.

“Yes, I also just found out that you were the one who came to the witch and helped with the big slander. I, who just believed it, regret it now.”

Isabella’s face changed. “What do you mean, Leon?”

“You must have known and don’t pretend not to know, Isabella. I already know everything. You’re the one who lied. Ariane never came to the witch to make you disappear but you were the one who went there and made yourself disappear.”

I couldn’t stand her. How could I love a woman with an evil heart?

“Why did you say that? Why did I make myself disappear just to come back to you? If I could choose, of course, I would continue to be with you by your side.”

I smiled lopsidedly at the drama performed by the woman who once filled my love office full. “Do you think I believe what you say after all the facts are revealed?”

“I still don’t understand what you mean, Leon. I really didn’t do anything but you keep accusing me like that. Is it because you’ve been incited by Ariane? Well, I’m sure so.”

Even now, she is still trying to slander her step-sister. Did she never care about Ariane? Even though Ariane has always been kind to her. I was the one who realized everything too late but I think Isabella is indeed a woman full of drama.

“I can’t even meet Ariane at all. I’ll give you time to think and realize your mistakes. After that, get out of my life!”
