Leon’s POV
Bree’s job is pretty good. He became Ariane’s stalker. If not, I might have a hard time dividing my time between my job and finding Ariane. I, who no longer have time, often meet Ariane but mostly fail. I also have to be patient because I feel like this might be my destiny to separate from Ariane. Until I had no other choice when the judge said that I really had to separate from Ariane. I gave up because I couldn’t force Ariane to stay with me. Maybe she was at a point where she no longer had patience and also accepted me who had never loved her. This was purely my fault so I had no other choice. I apologized to Ariane when I was with her lawyer to meet her. I waited until Ariane came out of her apartment. She was about to go to the supermarket to shop. Why didn’t I do it a long time ago, even though this was a fun thing? Being able to take my wife shopping and choosing all the household needs. Ah, regret always comes at the end. I also took Ariane home. It never crossed my mind to hurt her again because she was pregnant with my child. I also didn't want to traumatize her while being with me. Maybe if I thought negatively I would kidnap her and force her to stay by my side. But I didn't do that. I just wanted to see her happy. "Mr. Leon?" I turned my head when someone called me. "Yes? What's wrong?" "Excuse me, sir. I've called you several times, but you didn't answer, so I dared to call you closer," said my secretary. "Oh yeah, excuse me. What's wrong?" I didn't realize that she called me several times. I was only focused on thinking about Ariane. "There's a guest for you, sir. He is an investor in one of the companies that has a good relationship with our company." I nodded. "Tell him to come in!" I welcomed my guest. I also had to focus and not keep thinking about Ariane. Apparently, it was Mr. Harris. He is an investor in my company. He holds quite a high stake here. "Welcome Mr. Harris." “Yes, Mr. Leon. I am very pleased to meet you.” I shook hands with him and invited him to sit on the sofa that I had prepared for guests. “So what brings you here? I can meet you in person,” I asked. Because he never comes here. “Well, I just wanted to visit here. Your office is very nice. I like it. Oh yeah, I hope we can work together sustainably. Your company’s profit has been decreasing and that worries me,” said Mr. Harris. “Of course,” replied Mr. Leon with a friendly smile. “I want to talk about a new project that we will be working on together. I think it would be better if we discussed the details in person.” “Is that true?” I asked, a little surprised. “Of course, I am very enthusiastic to hear more about this project. Let’s get straight to the point.” We began to have a long discussion about the new project, while occasionally taking the time to enjoy a cup of hot coffee that I had prepared. The warm and enthusiastic atmosphere of the discussion made me even more confident that this collaboration would go well. Make sure that we focus on this project. Discuss every detail clearly," Mr. Leon said seriously. "I completely agree," I replied with a smile. "Let's make sure that this project will run according to plan and give the best results for both of us." We continued the discussion with great enthusiasm and determination to make the project a success. With good cooperation and communication, we are confident that we can achieve the goals we have set. With burning enthusiasm, we continued to plan every detail of this project. We believe that our collaboration will produce something extraordinary. Hopefully, this project will be the first step to our mutual success. "Thank you for your trust and the opportunity to work together. Let's make our vision a reality!" "Make sure we focus on this project. Discuss every detail clearly," Mr. Leon said seriously. "I completely agree, Mr. Leon," I replied with a smile. "Let's make sure that this project will run according to plan and give the best results for both of us." We continued the discussion with great enthusiasm and determination to make the project a success. With good cooperation and communication, we are confident that we can achieve the goals we have set. I never thought that Mr. Harris coming here made me feel better. He made me forget about my problems with my ex-wife, Ariane, for a moment. I also escorted Mr. Harris to the front lobby of my office. We chatted a lot today. "Thank you for coming here, Mr. Harris. Next time we can chat more," I said with a smile. I felt quite relieved. I had to accept that I was no longer Ariane's husband. I think I have loved my wife for a long time, it's just that I realized it too late. "I understand how you feel, Sometimes, in life, we can feel relieved even though we are facing big changes. It is important to accept ourselves and respect the feelings that exist. Realizing true love is the first step towards inner peace and happiness. Hopefully, with time, everything will become clearer to you. Stay strong and open your heart to accept the changes that occur," said the wolf inside me. Ah, I also chose to go home. Usually, in this house, there is also Ariane, but I have to get used to it without her now. "Hopefully your loneliness at home does not make you sad. Time will heal wounds and bring positive changes. Give yourself a chance to adjust to this new situation. Remember that every change brings new lessons and opportunities. Stay strong and open to the good things that will come into your life,” the wolf in me still tells me. Honestly, I don’t know if I can get through this.Leon’s POVI saw a photo of me and Ariane when we got married. I don’t think I should throw it away. I will keep it well as a souvenir.A beautiful portrait of our wedding day, neatly stored in an album of happy smiles, white dresses, roses, dusk light, nostalgic impressions, and oil paintings. An unforgettable wedding photo, Ariane and I standing at the altar, hands holding each other tightly, a stretch of flower garden, dusk sunlight, twinkling light, warm images.A portrait of Ariane and me’s romance is clearly displayed in an old gold-framed mirror, red roses, sincere smiles, unique perspectives, and realistic paintings. An eternal marriage in a picture, the two of us dancing under the blue sky, shady trees, sparkling wedding dresses, immeasurable happiness, details that are so alive. A photo of memories together during a sacred ceremony, the sun setting on the western horizon, the silhouette of the two of you in happiness, the golden colors, the
Ariane's POV"It’s too late. They’re not coming back, are they?" The soft voice slipped from my lips, audible. I stood in front of the mirror, touching my flat stomach with mixed feelings. I had been waiting for this moment for three years. Repeatedly I hoped, only to later drown in disappointment. However, this time was different. I could feel a small life growing inside me, two lives I knew would give me the strength I had been missing."He should know," I muttered as I smoothed my hair. I smiled a little, imagining his face when he heard this news. The excitement in his eyes, perhaps for the first time since our wedding. This was the moment I had been waiting for, a moment that would change everything.I stepped out of the room, but my steps were halted when I heard voices from directing the living room. A familiar voice, that of my husband, Leon, and another voice that made my heart sink-Isabella, my stepbrother. I couldn’t stop myself from approaching, curiosity overpowering my c
Leon's POVThe sudden knock on the door broke my train of thought. I lifted my head from the tedious pile of paperwork, hoping it was just a colleague coming in on business. However, when the door opened, and I saw who was standing in the doorway, the entire world seemed to stop spinning. Isabella, my long-lost first love, stood there with a small smile on her lips. The smile that used to always make my heart flutter. She was still as beautiful as ever, maybe even more so. Her jet-black hair was loose, her deep eyes still radiating the charm that used to captivate me. I swallowed, trying to find words, but all that came out was a name I hadn't mentioned with any emotion in a long time."Isabella?" My voice sounded hoarse, surprised, and full of doubt. How could he be here? After three years of disappearing without a trace, she just appeared, as if nothing had happened. The pain and confusion that I once experienced when she left filled my mind again. She stepped inside, closing the d
Ariane's POV"Please, Ariane, rethink your decision. Don’t do this. Don’t leave me." Leon sounded broken, full of regret and despair.I stared at her for a moment, feeling a wound that was already too deep to be healed by mere words. My hands remained busy, stuffing clothes and essentials into the suitcase I had prepared since last night. Every time I put a piece of clothing into the suitcase, it felt like releasing the weight that had been crushing my chest."Leon, I’ve thought this through. We tried, and you know it didn’t work. I can’t keep being here, in a relationship that’s broken and can’t be fixed."She stood in the doorway, looking at me with eyes full of hope and fear. It was the first time in months that I had seen her vulnerable, as if she had just realised that everything was falling apart. But tears or guilt could sway me. It’s not about her anymore. It’s about me-and the children I’m carrying."Ariane, please, we can fix this. I promise, I will change. I will be a bette
Ariane’s POV"This is what I’ve decided, Leon. Nothing can change it anymore." my voice sounded stronger than I felt. These words kept ringing in my head as I hung up the phone after talking to the lawyer. The divorce proceedings had begun, and I knew this was the right move, even though it felt hard.I sat on the small sofa in my new apartment, feeling a strange silence. There were no usual noises from home, no Leon in the morning or his footsteps at night. It’s just me, these white walls, and the sometimes excruciating silence. But I needed this. I need time and space to find myself again. My mind drifted to the missed calls from Leon that were piling up. Every call from him was a reminder of what I was dealing with-the husband who was now a stranger to me. The husband who had made me doubt everything, including the love I once thought was eternal. I can’t answer his calls. Not now. Not after everything that had happened. When he found my apartment, I knew this meeting wouldn’t be e
Ariane’s POV"How is my baby, Doc?" I asked in a weak voice, almost a whisper. I tried to get up from the hospital bed, but my body felt too weak, and my stomach was still cramped. The doctor standing beside my bed smiled. "Everything is fine, Ariane. Your baby is healthy. All you need to do now is rest and avoid stress. Your condition is quite stable, but don’t neglect getting enough rest and maintaining your mental state."I nodded, although inside I was still feeling anxious. This baby was everything to me. After years of waiting, there was life growing inside me. However, amid this happiness, there was a storm that wouldn’t go away. As the doctor left, I closed my eyes, trying to calm my turbulent mind. But the calm didn’t last long. The sound of the door opening made me turn my head, and there stood Leon, her face filled with guilt and worry. "Ariane, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have let this happen. I should have taken better care of you."I looked at him, holding back the tears t
Ariane’s POVI was in the hospital for three days and the doctor allowed me to go home. I have also completed my administrative process. Ah, I am relieved because my twin fetuses and I are fine.“Ariane.”I turned my head when my name was called by a very familiar voice.“What else? Tomorrow we will have our first trial. I hope you remain cooperative to comply with our initial agreement for us to divorce.” I didn’t need to wait for his answer. I had already decided.“Ariane, once again I have tried to meet you yesterday but honestly this is very hard for me. Can you give me a second chance?”I looked at Leon’s face. If only I didn’t know about he’s affair with Isabella yesterday, of course I would have melted with him but unfortunately I already knew everything and threw away all my hopes that I ever had. I think there is nothing to consider anymore from my marriage with Leon.“Sorry, I can’t. I have to go home now.”I left Leon. I also heard he calling me. But I no longer look back.
Ariane’s POV“Ariane, you know since you married Leon and you also decided to resign from the company so I gave everything to your stepfather. I only trust him. I know you must be disappointed. But I hope you can still survive with Leon so that you can still have a decent future.”Usually, my mother sold me to Leon. I know that my destiny is to be paired with Leon but fate says otherwise. Leon has always loved only Isabella, my step sister. If only I could do it again, of course, I would reject it when I was paired with Leon, and I could continue my mother’s company. I’m also not sure if my stepfather will give me a position in the company that he now holds entirely.“No, mom. I don’t want to beg just to ask for food. I will work somewhere else. I will not lower myself to ask for a job with your husband either.”I was disappointed with my mother. Even though my stepfather never said anything bad to me, I saw that he loved Isabella more than me. My mother also only gave in to her husba
