Ariane’s POV
"Sorry, I can't. Go now." I felt disgusted having to be held by Leon even though he argued that he wanted to touch my stomach. I saw Leon leaving me and then invited my lawyer to sit down together. "How is it, sir?" "Well, everything has been approved in the trial earlier. Mr. Leon has also signed everything and he just agreed." I looked at the files shown by my lawyer. All my demands were approved without any resistance from Leon. I will receive money from him every first of the month. "Good. I agree with you. I think you have worked hard for me. I pay you a fair f*e." I immediately transferred some money to my lawyer. "I have transferred it. Thank you for your help. If one day I have a problem, I will contact you." "You're welcome, ma'am. I also thank you and I don't mind helping you again." He then left me and I ordered avocado juice. At least I could breathe fresh air because I hadn't left the apartment for a long time. Maybe I will shop for kitchen necessities so I can cook without having to leave the apartment all the time. I have ordered a taxi but no one wants to pick me up because of the busy activities. I had been waiting for a long time; a car stopped right in front of me. A man approached me. "Where are you going? I will take you," said Leon. Apparently, he waited here and did not go home. "No, I don't need your help." I have divorced him so I have to be with him. "Just think of it as me taking my children. I won't do anything to you," said Leon. I glanced at him. I was a little doubtful of him. "I can take public transportation." I still refused his invitation. Although he might be sincere, I didn't want to melt towards him because he tried to show a better chance. "Just once, Ariane. I promise not to force you again. Just think of this as a form of my apology. I also don't complain about everything you filed in court for everything you asked for. I grant everything." Well, okay, just for once. "Okay. Take me to the supermarket. I want to buy some groceries.” “Okay, I’ll take you. Thank you for trusting me.” I went to the supermarket. Leon didn’t say anything either, I was too lazy to talk to him. I went to the supermarket there and bought everything I needed including groceries, soap, and everything. I pushed the shopping cart to the cashier. “Let me pay,” Leon said. I didn’t want to interrupt. Even if I didn’t want to, he would force me, so I just let him pay for all my groceries. “Where are you going now? Do you want to eat together?” Leon gave me a choice. “Well, I want to buy the bread I want.” I went to the cake shop, and I only bought it for myself, this time he was the one who paid. I asked him to send me home immediately. I don’t need him anymore. “Thank you. I hope this is the last time.” “You’re welcome. I’m glad I could take you, Ariane. See you later.” I put all my groceries into my apartment. Huh, I feel tired now. My legs are sore. * “Luna Ariane, you have to wake up!” I heard someone waking me up. Who is it? I opened my eyes and it turned out that I was in a different place. I was now at the Black Moon Pack. “Regina?” “Yes, Luna. It’s time for you to come back here. We really need you here. Yesterday Alpha Leon came here and found out for himself who really slandered you?” Regina seemed very enthusiastic. I, who had just woken up, felt like my life had not fully returned. “What do you mean?” “A few days ago Alpha Leon came here and found out something. He finally found out who slandered you.” I frowned. “Who?” “Your half-sister,” Regina answered. I was stunned. I told you that she was the one who did this. So that’s why Leon’s attitude changed. But it was too late. I was already disappointed with him. Even if he apologized to the point of bleeding blue and red, I didn’t care. I just let go of everything that had been my burden all this time. “Well, I already expected this, Regina. Thank you.” Regina also told me that she had also heard that Leon took one of the young wolves for her to make as his assistant. Well, I didn’t care either. It wouldn’t affect me either. “Alpha Leon’s power is a bit shaky at the moment. Because yesterday there was an attack from Blue, please pack,” Regina said. “Oh really?” I was still surprised by her words. I think the black moon pack is not weak, but because of the chaos that exists then, Leon is slightly shifted. Will he fall soon after this? I don't know. I walked around this area and all the wolves were looking at me. The last time I was here was a few months ago and I also came here alone. I once came with Leon, but it was just a formality; other than that, he never cared about me. Regina came with me to go around. Just like in the city, here it is not much different, only here there are no complete facilities like in the city so the werewolves have to go to the city. "Regina, what is that building?" I asked because there was a new building that I just found out about. "Oh, Alpha Leon asked for a new building yesterday but I don't know what its function is," Regina explained. I just nodded my head. I walked again but my gaze was still fixed on the new building. Like a house but not too big. Well, the house I live in here is the same as Leon. Does he want to make a house for himself?Leon’s POVBree’s job is pretty good. He became Ariane’s stalker. If not, I might have a hard time dividing my time between my job and finding Ariane. I, who no longer have time, often meet Ariane but mostly fail. I also have to be patient because I feel like this might be my destiny to separate from Ariane.Until I had no other choice when the judge said that I really had to separate from Ariane. I gave up because I couldn’t force Ariane to stay with me. Maybe she was at a point where she no longer had patience and also accepted me who had never loved her. This was purely my fault so I had no other choice. I apologized to Ariane when I was with her lawyer to meet her.I waited until Ariane came out of her apartment. She was about to go to the supermarket to shop. Why didn’t I do it a long time ago, even though this was a fun thing? Being able to take my wife shopping and choosing all the household needs. Ah, regret always comes at the end.I also
Leon’s POVI saw a photo of me and Ariane when we got married. I don’t think I should throw it away. I will keep it well as a souvenir.A beautiful portrait of our wedding day, neatly stored in an album of happy smiles, white dresses, roses, dusk light, nostalgic impressions, and oil paintings. An unforgettable wedding photo, Ariane and I standing at the altar, hands holding each other tightly, a stretch of flower garden, dusk sunlight, twinkling light, warm images.A portrait of Ariane and me’s romance is clearly displayed in an old gold-framed mirror, red roses, sincere smiles, unique perspectives, and realistic paintings. An eternal marriage in a picture, the two of us dancing under the blue sky, shady trees, sparkling wedding dresses, immeasurable happiness, details that are so alive. A photo of memories together during a sacred ceremony, the sun setting on the western horizon, the silhouette of the two of you in happiness, the golden colors, the
Ariane's POV"It’s too late. They’re not coming back, are they?" The soft voice slipped from my lips, audible. I stood in front of the mirror, touching my flat stomach with mixed feelings. I had been waiting for this moment for three years. Repeatedly I hoped, only to later drown in disappointment. However, this time was different. I could feel a small life growing inside me, two lives I knew would give me the strength I had been missing."He should know," I muttered as I smoothed my hair. I smiled a little, imagining his face when he heard this news. The excitement in his eyes, perhaps for the first time since our wedding. This was the moment I had been waiting for, a moment that would change everything.I stepped out of the room, but my steps were halted when I heard voices from directing the living room. A familiar voice, that of my husband, Leon, and another voice that made my heart sink-Isabella, my stepbrother. I couldn’t stop myself from approaching, curiosity overpowering my c
Leon's POVThe sudden knock on the door broke my train of thought. I lifted my head from the tedious pile of paperwork, hoping it was just a colleague coming in on business. However, when the door opened, and I saw who was standing in the doorway, the entire world seemed to stop spinning. Isabella, my long-lost first love, stood there with a small smile on her lips. The smile that used to always make my heart flutter. She was still as beautiful as ever, maybe even more so. Her jet-black hair was loose, her deep eyes still radiating the charm that used to captivate me. I swallowed, trying to find words, but all that came out was a name I hadn't mentioned with any emotion in a long time."Isabella?" My voice sounded hoarse, surprised, and full of doubt. How could he be here? After three years of disappearing without a trace, she just appeared, as if nothing had happened. The pain and confusion that I once experienced when she left filled my mind again. She stepped inside, closing the d
Ariane's POV"Please, Ariane, rethink your decision. Don’t do this. Don’t leave me." Leon sounded broken, full of regret and despair.I stared at her for a moment, feeling a wound that was already too deep to be healed by mere words. My hands remained busy, stuffing clothes and essentials into the suitcase I had prepared since last night. Every time I put a piece of clothing into the suitcase, it felt like releasing the weight that had been crushing my chest."Leon, I’ve thought this through. We tried, and you know it didn’t work. I can’t keep being here, in a relationship that’s broken and can’t be fixed."She stood in the doorway, looking at me with eyes full of hope and fear. It was the first time in months that I had seen her vulnerable, as if she had just realised that everything was falling apart. But tears or guilt could sway me. It’s not about her anymore. It’s about me-and the children I’m carrying."Ariane, please, we can fix this. I promise, I will change. I will be a bette
Ariane’s POV"This is what I’ve decided, Leon. Nothing can change it anymore." my voice sounded stronger than I felt. These words kept ringing in my head as I hung up the phone after talking to the lawyer. The divorce proceedings had begun, and I knew this was the right move, even though it felt hard.I sat on the small sofa in my new apartment, feeling a strange silence. There were no usual noises from home, no Leon in the morning or his footsteps at night. It’s just me, these white walls, and the sometimes excruciating silence. But I needed this. I need time and space to find myself again. My mind drifted to the missed calls from Leon that were piling up. Every call from him was a reminder of what I was dealing with-the husband who was now a stranger to me. The husband who had made me doubt everything, including the love I once thought was eternal. I can’t answer his calls. Not now. Not after everything that had happened. When he found my apartment, I knew this meeting wouldn’t be e
Ariane’s POV"How is my baby, Doc?" I asked in a weak voice, almost a whisper. I tried to get up from the hospital bed, but my body felt too weak, and my stomach was still cramped. The doctor standing beside my bed smiled. "Everything is fine, Ariane. Your baby is healthy. All you need to do now is rest and avoid stress. Your condition is quite stable, but don’t neglect getting enough rest and maintaining your mental state."I nodded, although inside I was still feeling anxious. This baby was everything to me. After years of waiting, there was life growing inside me. However, amid this happiness, there was a storm that wouldn’t go away. As the doctor left, I closed my eyes, trying to calm my turbulent mind. But the calm didn’t last long. The sound of the door opening made me turn my head, and there stood Leon, her face filled with guilt and worry. "Ariane, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have let this happen. I should have taken better care of you."I looked at him, holding back the tears t
Ariane’s POVI was in the hospital for three days and the doctor allowed me to go home. I have also completed my administrative process. Ah, I am relieved because my twin fetuses and I are fine.“Ariane.”I turned my head when my name was called by a very familiar voice.“What else? Tomorrow we will have our first trial. I hope you remain cooperative to comply with our initial agreement for us to divorce.” I didn’t need to wait for his answer. I had already decided.“Ariane, once again I have tried to meet you yesterday but honestly this is very hard for me. Can you give me a second chance?”I looked at Leon’s face. If only I didn’t know about he’s affair with Isabella yesterday, of course I would have melted with him but unfortunately I already knew everything and threw away all my hopes that I ever had. I think there is nothing to consider anymore from my marriage with Leon.“Sorry, I can’t. I have to go home now.”I left Leon. I also heard he calling me. But I no longer look back.
