Ariane’s POV
Since I moved into my new apartment I asked the receptionist not to tell anyone about my presence in the apartment or not. I felt that later Leon or my mother might look for me in the apartment. So I chose to keep quiet. I had stocked up on food in my apartment so I could cook my favorites, or if I was too lazy to cook, I would just order food at the apartment. Several times I knew if Leon came to my apartment. I only knew from the screen on the front door of my apartment. Indeed, this apartment is quite sophisticated in facilities so I can know who knows me without having to open the door or peek through the small gap in the door that is usually in a hotel. I can also know without them knowing I am watching anyone. I let Leon wait in front of my apartment door and I also will not make a door for him. I feel like I don’t need to talk to him anymore and I also won’t regret deciding to divorce him. I don’t mind if my children later don’t have a father figure even though their father is an Alpha. Even if I have to fight Leon, I’m not afraid. I have the ability to fight. Even though I might die at Leon's hands, at least I fought for it. I was destined to be Luna even though I used to be an Omega. But thanks to my persistence in continuing to train and increase my intelligence, I was able to become Luna. * A few days later I went to the hospital to have my pregnancy checked. The doctor did an ultrasound. I was curious and immediately asked, "Is their gender visible yet, Doc?" "Not yet, ma'am. They are still very small. But I can assure you that their current condition is fine. Their hearts are also normal," the doctor replied. I really have to keep them and do everything I can to make them see this world. "Thank goodness, Doc." "Oh yeah, here are some vitamins that you have to take. Do you have any complaints of dizziness or nausea?" The doctor asked to make sure. I shook my head. "So far, no complaints about that, Doc." "Thank goodness, ma'am. So stiff doesn't have to feel tired. Keep eating healthy and nutritious food that is cooked because pregnant women are advised to avoid raw food because it risks causing infection and pregnancy problems such as disease-causing germs. Raw food can contain germs such as Salmonella, Escherichia coli, and Listeria which can cause food poisoning, typhoid, and septicemia.” I nodded. As far as I know, pregnant women are not allowed to eat raw food and my doctor explained it quite clearly. I said goodbye to the doctor and thanked her for examining and helping me well. I think I will meet my mother first. I will tell her that I have to work at her company. Maybe not as a financial manager but maybe in another division. When I arrived at my mother's house, it was a two-story house painted white. I went in and it was quiet. There was no Isabella or my mother either. "Where is my mother?" I asked the servant. "Yes, ma'am. Wait a minute, I'll call her first." She left me and I sat in the living room. This is indeed my father's legacy house and nothing has changed here. Even my stepfather didn't change it. "You came?" My stepfather apparently just came home from work. "Yes, I came here. I just wanted to say that I want to work at the company again. I need workers," I said while looking at my stepfather's face. He then sat across from me. "What do you want to work for? You haven't worked for a long time and I heard you're pregnant too. If you work and then give birth, you'll be on leave; how can I find someone new to replace you, Ariane? Haven't you thought about that before?" My stepfather's words were quite hurtful. It was my mother's company and he just continued it. When I wanted to return to my mother's company, he forbade me for various reasons he had. How rude. I was humiliated in my own home. "So you won't give me a job?" I asked once more. "Ariane, don't separate from Leon! You need a financial provider. I understand that if we live, we have to be realistic, so you just need to be patient with your little problems." My mother also replied. So I came here only to feel ashamed. “Well, if you guys think so. I will leave this house and I will never come back here again.” I got up and intended to never set foot in the house that had raised me with everyone there including my mother. "Ariane!" My mother called but I heard my stepfather blocking her steps. "Just let her do what she wants. She will come back here later." I smiled lopsidedly. Tch, He thought I would do that, it would never happen. I chose to go home to my apartment. But when I arrived in front of my apartment door I saw Leon there. "Finally you're home, Ariane. I've been waiting for you," said Him. "Why were you waiting for me? Do you want me to come back to you? That will never happen, Leon. Get out of here. I don't want to meet anyone."Ariane’s POV I was about to enter my apartment but He grabbed my hand. "I want to talk to my future baby, Ariane. I am the father of the children you are carrying." I smiled lopsidedly. "Do you think you can only acknowledge them after you regret your actions? Why after I know all the bad things about your heart? I'm fed up with the drama you've done. Go away!" I chased Leon away, and he apparently still insisted, so I pushed Leon's body with the wolf power in my body, and sure enough, he only took a few steps back. I immediately went inside and locked the door from the inside. I've run out of patience with Leon. I'm fed up with him. Not just because of a mistake he made this time. But I've forgiven him since the beginning of my arranged marriage with him, but he never changed, and he only loves Isabella. Only after I left now he wants to come back to me. This is really beyond my common sense. I did love Leon. I was amazed by everything he had. His prowess as an Alpha and h
Ariane’s POV "Sorry, I can't. Go now." I felt disgusted having to be held by Leon even though he argued that he wanted to touch my stomach. I saw Leon leaving me and then invited my lawyer to sit down together. "How is it, sir?""Well, everything has been approved in the trial earlier. Mr. Leon has also signed everything and he just agreed."I looked at the files shown by my lawyer. All my demands were approved without any resistance from Leon. I will receive money from him every first of the month."Good. I agree with you. I think you have worked hard for me. I pay you a fair fee."I immediately transferred some money to my lawyer. "I have transferred it. Thank you for your help. If one day I have a problem, I will contact you.""You're welcome, ma'am. I also thank you and I don't mind helping you again." He then left me and I ordered avocado juice. At least I could breathe fresh air because I hadn't left the apartment for a long time.Maybe I will shop for kitchen necessities so
Leon’s POVBree’s job is pretty good. He became Ariane’s stalker. If not, I might have a hard time dividing my time between my job and finding Ariane. I, who no longer have time, often meet Ariane but mostly fail. I also have to be patient because I feel like this might be my destiny to separate from Ariane.Until I had no other choice when the judge said that I really had to separate from Ariane. I gave up because I couldn’t force Ariane to stay with me. Maybe she was at a point where she no longer had patience and also accepted me who had never loved her. This was purely my fault so I had no other choice. I apologized to Ariane when I was with her lawyer to meet her.I waited until Ariane came out of her apartment. She was about to go to the supermarket to shop. Why didn’t I do it a long time ago, even though this was a fun thing? Being able to take my wife shopping and choosing all the household needs. Ah, regret always comes at the end.I also
Leon’s POVI saw a photo of me and Ariane when we got married. I don’t think I should throw it away. I will keep it well as a souvenir.A beautiful portrait of our wedding day, neatly stored in an album of happy smiles, white dresses, roses, dusk light, nostalgic impressions, and oil paintings. An unforgettable wedding photo, Ariane and I standing at the altar, hands holding each other tightly, a stretch of flower garden, dusk sunlight, twinkling light, warm images.A portrait of Ariane and me’s romance is clearly displayed in an old gold-framed mirror, red roses, sincere smiles, unique perspectives, and realistic paintings. An eternal marriage in a picture, the two of us dancing under the blue sky, shady trees, sparkling wedding dresses, immeasurable happiness, details that are so alive. A photo of memories together during a sacred ceremony, the sun setting on the western horizon, the silhouette of the two of you in happiness, the golden colors, the
Ariane's POV"It’s too late. They’re not coming back, are they?" The soft voice slipped from my lips, audible. I stood in front of the mirror, touching my flat stomach with mixed feelings. I had been waiting for this moment for three years. Repeatedly I hoped, only to later drown in disappointment. However, this time was different. I could feel a small life growing inside me, two lives I knew would give me the strength I had been missing."He should know," I muttered as I smoothed my hair. I smiled a little, imagining his face when he heard this news. The excitement in his eyes, perhaps for the first time since our wedding. This was the moment I had been waiting for, a moment that would change everything.I stepped out of the room, but my steps were halted when I heard voices from directing the living room. A familiar voice, that of my husband, Leon, and another voice that made my heart sink-Isabella, my stepbrother. I couldn’t stop myself from approaching, curiosity overpowering my c
Leon's POVThe sudden knock on the door broke my train of thought. I lifted my head from the tedious pile of paperwork, hoping it was just a colleague coming in on business. However, when the door opened, and I saw who was standing in the doorway, the entire world seemed to stop spinning. Isabella, my long-lost first love, stood there with a small smile on her lips. The smile that used to always make my heart flutter. She was still as beautiful as ever, maybe even more so. Her jet-black hair was loose, her deep eyes still radiating the charm that used to captivate me. I swallowed, trying to find words, but all that came out was a name I hadn't mentioned with any emotion in a long time."Isabella?" My voice sounded hoarse, surprised, and full of doubt. How could he be here? After three years of disappearing without a trace, she just appeared, as if nothing had happened. The pain and confusion that I once experienced when she left filled my mind again. She stepped inside, closing the d
Ariane's POV"Please, Ariane, rethink your decision. Don’t do this. Don’t leave me." Leon sounded broken, full of regret and despair.I stared at her for a moment, feeling a wound that was already too deep to be healed by mere words. My hands remained busy, stuffing clothes and essentials into the suitcase I had prepared since last night. Every time I put a piece of clothing into the suitcase, it felt like releasing the weight that had been crushing my chest."Leon, I’ve thought this through. We tried, and you know it didn’t work. I can’t keep being here, in a relationship that’s broken and can’t be fixed."She stood in the doorway, looking at me with eyes full of hope and fear. It was the first time in months that I had seen her vulnerable, as if she had just realised that everything was falling apart. But tears or guilt could sway me. It’s not about her anymore. It’s about me-and the children I’m carrying."Ariane, please, we can fix this. I promise, I will change. I will be a bette
Ariane’s POV"This is what I’ve decided, Leon. Nothing can change it anymore." my voice sounded stronger than I felt. These words kept ringing in my head as I hung up the phone after talking to the lawyer. The divorce proceedings had begun, and I knew this was the right move, even though it felt hard.I sat on the small sofa in my new apartment, feeling a strange silence. There were no usual noises from home, no Leon in the morning or his footsteps at night. It’s just me, these white walls, and the sometimes excruciating silence. But I needed this. I need time and space to find myself again. My mind drifted to the missed calls from Leon that were piling up. Every call from him was a reminder of what I was dealing with-the husband who was now a stranger to me. The husband who had made me doubt everything, including the love I once thought was eternal. I can’t answer his calls. Not now. Not after everything that had happened. When he found my apartment, I knew this meeting wouldn’t be e
