Elizabeth POV It has been three months since Carter had gone back to the Crescent Moon Pack. We have had multiple rogue attacks and attempts have been made to capture me; however, the rogues have been unsuccessful every time. Every time there has been an attack, I go and fight with our warriors. My family has done their best to keep me busy with learning all that I need to know. I have felt intense pressure. My brain feels like it will explode if I try to take on too much more. My personal tutor is pleased with my results. It feels like I would have enjoyed going to school, had I had the opportunity to do so while I was growing up. Carter and I talk every day, but it is not the same as being together. I miss his arms around me. We have talked through options, but we never settle on any one decision. He knows I feel obligated to be here. He feels obligated to be there. It is like we are an impasse and neither of us is prepared to budge. That has resul
Elizabeth POV I see the scene in front of me and all I feel is rage. How dare that skanky bitch have her paws on my mate. “What the hell is going on here?” I demand as I move into the room. The skank is smirking at me, “You left the alpha and I am filling the gap,” she says as she tries to remain seated on Carter’s lap. I can see him pushing her away from him, but she has latched onto his neck. I move closer to the she-wolf as she starts to realize I am not going to run out of the room in tears. She sits up straighter but refuses to let Carter go. I can see the upset in Carter’s eyes. I do not know what was happening, but I would damn well find out before I decided what I was going to do. I reach my hand over and wrapped it around the woman’s arm, pinching it as I yank her away from Carter and toss her into the wall. She slides down to the ground, whimpering as she does. She has tears in her eyes, looking to Carter. Carter is looking at th
Alpha Carter POV My heart was breaking as I moved to step out of my office. Before I could move forward Elizabeth had her hand on my arm. “Please Carter, I need you with me,” she pleads as I stand there conflicted. Of course, I want to be with her, but how could I be? How could I walk away from all that I have ever wanted. From all that I have ever known. “I do not have the answers, sweetheart; I am sorry,” I say as I step further away from her into the hallway. “What does this mean for us?” she asks tightly. I know she is trying to contain her emotions. She is trying not to cry with me. But it is hard for both of us. “I do not know. I just do not know,” I reply as I walk away from her. It is the hardest thing I have ever done. “I did not think you were a quitter,” she says to me angrily. My footstep falters as I come to a stop. I slowly turn around to face her. “Excuse me?” I ask quietly. “You heard me. You are a quitter,” she says
Elizabeth POV The palace was bubbling with excitement. Today was the day of my crowning. Since returning home I had been miserable. Conflicted about my decisions. Devastated at the loss of Carter. I felt that every day. I knew we were still bonded, but once I accepted my position within the Kingdom, my ties to the Crescent Moon Pack would be broken. It would only be a matter of time before the bond between Carter and I would be broken. One of us would inevitably move on. I suspected it would be Carter before me. I could not see myself loving anyone else but him. My father had been furious when I returned without Carter. He could not understand how Carter could not understand the important role he would fill. He wanted to call Carter himself, but I refused. I did not want any interference from my parents. My mother immediately went into matchmaker mode wanting to introduce me to eligible bachelors within the Kingdom. Men would be able to step up an
Elizabeth POV I had not seen myself from the moment the team took over preparing me for the ceremony. Once I was finally dressed, had my shoes on, hair and make-up completed I was presented in front of the floor length mirror. I was stunned with what was before me. I did not look like usual Elizabeth. I looked regal. Like royalty. Like someone ready to take over a Kingdom. My hair was swept up in a loose bun and curls surrounded my face. My make-up was meticulous, the eye shadow bringing out the sparkle in my eyes. A sparkle that had been missing since I returned from the Crescent Moon Pack. The navy blue dress with gold trim, fitting my shape to a tee, accentuating my curves. The dress is in the Kingdom colors and is stunning. The plunging neckline allows me to showcase the one thing I put my foot down on. I was wearing the jewelry Carter had gifted me when I became Luna to his Pack. I fingered the diamond necklace remembering th
Alpha Carter POV It had been a busy couple of weeks. Working with the King in secret to discuss options we had for our Pack to merge with the Kingdom, while retaining our individuality. We have come up with a way to make it happen. Identifying activities which I would be able to do as King, to support Elizabeth as well as things that were important to me. The last time I saw Elizabeth I knew I could not live without her. I had met with my Elders and chief advisors, including Stan and Kinsley and finally the Pack members. The Elders were reluctant at first but after much discussion they could see the potential benefits for the Crescent Moon Pack. The opportunity for growth and security. Stan and Kinsley had been on board from the beginning. And finally, we met with the Pack. We had some older members who felt the move would be too much for them. Even with our support, they wanted to stay behind. We secured space for them within Alpha Kyle’s
Alpha Carter “Well, well, well, when did you arrive Alpha Carter?” the rogue asks. “Release her,” I reply ignoring his question. He laughs out loud as he turns to look at the blade. I realized it was slowly making its way down to Elizabeth’s neck. We needed to figure something out quickly in order to save Elizabeth. “They brought her to you. Now where are their families?” I demand wanting to distract him from watching Elizabeth die in front of our eyes. “Ah yes, their families,” he ponders as he turns to look at the men. “You did good work. Unfortunately, I have no place for you,” he says looking away from the warriors who had betrayed Elizabeth. “What?” one of the warrior’s manages to reply. The rogue pivots looking at him annoyed. “There is nothing for you. Your families will be destroyed, just as you will be,” he replies giving a nod to the rogues standing outside of the group. “No!” I yell as the warriors turn in time to fight off the
Elizabeth POV I could not believe Carter was here in front of me. That he had come to be with me. I did not know what it all meant, but he was here when I needed him. I looked at his face, he was sweating as we raced him back to the hospital. It seemed like it too longer to get to where they rescued me but getting him back, slung over Stan’s shoulder was a race against time. The medical team was waiting as we arrived, one of the warrior’s having mind-linked ahead. My parents were waiting for us, as was Eric. They rushed forward but the medical team intervened. “Princess, we need to get the Alpha into surgery,” the lead doctor says to me. I nod, leaning down to kiss Carter, “You fight, Carter,” I whisper in his ear kissing his forehead since he was transferred to the gurney. The medical team raced away and I stood there watching as they took my mate from me. I felt arms wrap around me and realized it was Kinsley. I turn around in surprise, “

Good day Everyone I wanted to share a quick update. I am working on the draft for Eric's story and expect to start it the week of May 6, 2024. I hope you will be as excited as I am to write the story. His will have a couple interesting twists but suffice to say he will find his mate. The question ... will he accept her :) After that we will see where we go but I do want to write the stories for the pups after they are grown. Any feedback is always welcome. Let me know if you are excited to read the story or follow me on my socials to get updates. Ellie xo
Elizabeth’s POV The past six months had been a rush of emotions. Watching CJ grow was unbelievable. He was growing fast already walking. He was ahead of the normal schedule of children, but we have realized our boy was special beyond what we could even fathom at this point. We loved him and would keep him a child as long as we could. Stan and Kinsley had a beautiful little girl. She was two months old. CJ loved little Leslie from the moment he saw her. He always went to see her before anyone else got a chance to say hello to her. He always touched her face softly giving her little kisses. We all joked wouldn’t it be cute if they were mates when they grew up. Eric had not found his mate yet. He had just returned home from a two-month search but with no luck. He was still hopeful, but I could tell he was somewhat disappointed that his search had not yielded him success yet. I kept encouraging him as best I could even to the point of suggest
Elizabeth POV I had been in labour for a while now. I had started pushing an hour ago. I knew I was having a big baby boy, but I do not think anything prepared me for this. Ashley was throwing all her strength into me. I was getting exhausted and angry. Carter was both amazing and annoying at the same time. His words of encouragement were endearing, but I really wanted to punch him in the nuts so he would have a sense of how ridiculous his words really were. The past few months had been a whirlwind. I had survived the two weeks of bed rest. My mother had brought me a lot of things to work on during that time. And I was healthy and given the nod to go back to regular activities with normal precautions. Before I knew it the time had flown by and here, I was birthing my first pup. The rate I was going this could be my last one. “One more push, my Queen,” the doctor says encouragingly. I take a deep breath and push with all my might. With th
Carter POV I gently pick Elizabeth up in my arms. “Elizabeth,” I repeat but she does not respond. There are snarls and cries of pain as I turn to see what is happening. The two sisters are fighting. The warriors are standing by ready to jump in to assist the former Queen. But all respect her need to fight her sister for all that she stole from her. I watch helplessly as I see Elizabeth’s mother toss her sister in the air. As she comes down her mother reaches for her aunt and slams her into the ground. All you could hear was a yelp and the crushing of bones. “How dare you ever think you had a right to destroy my life! How dare you steal a child from her parents! How dare you steal so much from my mate! You deserve so much more but it is time for you to die!” the former Queen yells. Her sister is begging for her life, but the former Queen will hear nothing of it. She moves forward and places her sister’s head in her hands. She starts twist
Elizabeth POV “You!” I scream. I am staring in shock at the person in front of me. “Where did you come from?” I demand as I move to cover Carter’s body. He was defenceless and I would not sit back while someone attacked us. “Surprised to see me?” the person asks. “I am surprised you are still alive,” I say as I move into position in the event they attacked. Moving towards me, “But daughter dearest, I have missed you,” she replies. “You are not my mother,” I spit at her. “My someone is feisty,” she says with a smirk. “Who knew you had it in you?” she asks. “You knew all along,” I say to her. “What kind of sick monster does what you did?” I ask her. “I would like to know that myself,” a voice from behind me says. I turn to see my mother and a group of warriors behind me. I turn around and smirk at the woman in front of me who has managed to get closer to me. “The kind of woman who was sick of her sister getting everything she wanted,” my a
Elizabeth POV The last two weeks had been a blur. We had an amazing feast the night of our coronation, and then we were in the whirlwind of handing over responsibilities for the Kingdom. Carter and I were both sitting in my office on the couch that I had brought in. I had my feet in Carter’s lap as he rubbed them. “Mmmm that feels good,” I murmur as my eyes half close. We had just finished another gruelling day of learning and needed a few minutes to ourselves before we went to supper with those who lived in the Palace. We had started that last week. Carter missed having meals with his Pack, so we started that tradition. Those living within the Palace loved the idea and had embraced being a part of a bigger family. It did not mean everyone joined every night, but it gave people options. The cooking team loved it as well. They got to serve people more than just waiting for a special event. Carter starts to massage up my calve m
Alpha Carter POV “I am back!” I hear in my mind. “Max?” I ask tentatively through our mind-link. “It is me,” he replies excitedly. “I am so grateful to have you back,” I reply. “Me too. Wherever I was it was a very dark and lonely place,” he shares with me. I want to hear exactly what he remembers happening but the Elder in front of me clears his throat. “May we continue Alpha?” he asks. I nod telling Max I want all the details. Knowing we were in the middle of a ceremony and his mate was beside him was enough to settle him. Having completed the transfer of blood, I take Elizabeth’s hand in mine and give it a squeeze. She smiles excitedly, knowing Max was back. The third Elder comes forward. “And now we will do the transfer of the crowns signifying the future,” he says as the King and Queen move forward. Each kneel before the Elder and their crowns are removed for the last time. Both are holding hands as the removal takes place. You c
Alpha Carter POV As Elizabeth and I walked up the aisle, I could not help but become a little nostalgic. Thinking about where we had been to where we are now. Having overcome so many hurdles. So many things that seemed against us being together. But here we were … about to become Queen and King of the Kingdom. I had never aspired to become King. It had never been something I had remotely considered. Having met with the current King this week and learned more about what he did and the opportunities I would have to make a difference in the wolf community excited me. And now I felt like a fool for fighting so hard against it. I could feel Elizabeth’s small hand on my arm as we walked up the aisle following her parents. I could feel the stares and the excitement in the room for the future. For the next generation to take over. What I felt stressed about was my inability to shift tonight. The people present knew of my injury and were advised as
