[Zeve’s POV] The temple was majestic. Tranquil, as if even the walls had reached the highest level of salvation. Safe as if as long as I was there, even death couldn’t touch me. And though there were no torches ablaze, it was lit with a glowing white light. I stood outside the temple with Amor, adoring the monumental wonder. According to the traditions, the bride and groom reach the temple first and only once they have paid tribute to the deity of the temple, their families enter the temple. The high priestess stood in front of us in pure white robes. Her eyes were covered with a white blindfold. Her hair and eyebrows were white as snow. She looked in her forties. A white translucent veil covered her face from nose and below, but neither the blindfold nor the veil could hide the divine aura she was emitting. Her closeness felt like home. [Zeve’s POV] “I think you should rest and prepare yourself a little more for the marriage because it’s going to be real…” he said, licking his lower lip. “Nothing about our marriage is fake, Zeve. The vows we take, the rituals we perform, will bind us together for life. It’s just a little more twisted than normal marriages… so if you need more time to get ready…” “No. I know and I am completely prepared mentally, physically, in every manner. It was just that when I stepped—” I was about to tell him about the memories that the temple transferred to me. It was nothing new for me, but it took its toll on my body. “The temple was so grand and lit even without the torches that I was a little dizzy. That’s it! [Amor’s POV] I was wearing a white and red military tunic with white breeches. The red royal mantle draped over my shoulders was secured by golden chains in the front. The marriage would be sealed in the banquet hall of the temple. The stage was prepared where the marriage rituals would be fulfilled. The priestess was making last-minute preparations with the help of her disciplines. Only family members were allowed in the temple. Men were seated in the hall in front of the stage. [Amor’s POV] I didn’t even realise that I gave out an abiding order. Abiding order was a special power wielded only by the ruling alpha of a pack. This power enabled an alpha’s words to be followed by every member of that pack without explanations, conditions, and exceptions. Be it an omega or a high-ranking alpha. As soon as they heard the abiding order, they were bound to follow it. If such orders were issued through mind-link, even the werewolves who were far away from the alpha would be bound by this order. First she asked if she was forced into the marriage and the second time she asked for Zeve’s consent for the marriage.
