There were werewolves, then alphas, then there’s Dario an apex alpha, and Lycan of over 120 years with no mate. He had already resigned to fate thinking that he was being punished for his cruelty, or that his mate had died during the Great War. One fateful day, he finds out that the neighboring alphas were auctioning their kind (an act that had been abolished a century ago), and went feral. What happens when he gets there and his wolf starts acting out of character? What happens when he sees what he has wished for his whole life? What happens when he sees that she’s human? What happens when he finds out that she may be ‘not so human’ and part of the clan he despised the most? Would he go against every rule in the book to make her his?

His emotions always somehow had something to do with the weather.
“I think you should calm down a bit. The walls are vibrating, and your anger is affecting us all”. James groaned, walking into his best friend’s office.
Alpha Dario’s emotions affected everyone in the 25 packs. If he was angry, happy, or sad, everyone in the 25 realms could feel it through the mind link. So, he had mastered the art of sealing his emotions, and had been doing a very good job at it, until now when he got information that there was an auctioning of beings going on, and that the auctioning had never stopped despite the ban, oath and sacrifices he made to stop it.
“Calm down? My alphas are going against everything I stand for by disobeying me and organizing these auctions. I’ve sacrificed so much to stop the barbaric acts, and I won’t let anyone start them again”. Alpha Dario said, a low growl escaping his lips as paced around the office, his anger still very much present.
“Summon Tega and Amelia here right now, we leave in 15 minutes”. He said as he sighed and closed his eyes, trying to calm his anger.
“I’ll bring that place to the ground today. They will be sorry. Very sorry for their disobedience”. He said, and swallowed another growl that threatened to escape, knowing fully well that the children could feel his anger too.
“Okay Alpha”. James sighed knowing that there was nothing much he could do to appease Dario right now. He needed to inform the others immediately, as he knew very well that the calm exterior Dario had right now was a lie.
Calm Dario meant the worst.
In less than 10 minutes, they had gathered in Alpha Dario’s office, ready to follow him to follow him to the ends of the earth if he told them to.
In the blink of an eye, he transforms into his wolf and was out the door knowing fully well that the others were right behind him.
He knew he could’ve used the cars but he had no time to think about whether or not they were fueled.
His thoughts were filled with graphic images of what could be going on in that auction ground.
He had seen it before and knew how brutal it can be. Their numbers were already small, and he was trying to prevent them from going extinct.
Since the Great War, there had a very low birth rate as almost all the women died either at the battle or their homes.
He lets out another growl, now running at full speed.
On getting there, he transforms back to his human form, his clothes still intact, and while the others were putting theirs on, he storms into the place with long angry strides, not a second longer.
The guards at the gate recognized him and immediately paled knowing fully well that today was their last.
Most wolves haven’t ever seen their Apex Alpha Dario, as they all had Alphas leading their packs but they could recognize him at one glance from the stories they’ve heard. From his insanely strong aura, to his outrageous beauty, and his golden eyes.
The guards still tried to stop him knowing very well they didn’t stand a chance.
As they approached him, his anger doubled
‘How dare they?’ He said to himself as he raised his fingers clawing them to death while still walking.
The whole place soon turned chaotic as the wolves and their alphas present began to run for their lives, some brave ones attacked but he was determined not to let any one of them leave that gate alive.
They had crossed him and no one crosses him and lives, no one.
He lets out a deep growl which makes the wolves of his gamma, betta and commander push forward and take over the killings.
The screams and sounds of horror could be heard from miles away.
It didn’t take them 30 minutes to kill all the 210 wolves present there at the actuion hall.
Alpha Dario knew very well that he just wiped out an entire wolf pack but he had no remorse because they had broken an oath they made to him.
Once he had killed all the wolves, the thought that there were humans present immediately struck him. How was he going to handle all they had just seen? his mind already doing a 360 searching for a solution.
Only to turn and see James smirk, and mindlink him saying he led them out immediately after he killed the guards.
“I know how brutal you can be Ro. You’re welcome”. He says as he swings his imaginary hair. The action msde Dario growl lowly. Nothing was funny about this situation and his stupid best friend was making a joke while they were in a pool of dead bodies. He couldn’t deny that he was grateful though.
‘James may be playful but always knew what to do at the right time’. He thought to himself when all of a sudden, his wolf began to jump, howl and scratch, wanting to be let out.
The excitement and desperacy of his wolf caused his strides to come to a halt, as he didn’t know what to make of this.
Dexter (his wolf) was always calm, strong and in control, but here was whining, howling and shaking.
His wolf urged him to take a look around and he’ll see.
‘Turn to your left and see if you don’t go crazy too’. Dexter told his human, making Dario sigh but do so. The sight had his heart almost seize but also run faster that it every has
‘Told you so’. Dexter said again.
His eyes took in the most beautiful person he’d ever seen, and he had lived long enough so see so many beautiful women.
Her skin was like porcelain, her hair very dark but complimented her pale skin and oh, those light brown eyes blew him away. Even her current state couldn’t hide her amazing features.
It felt like he, a century old alpha just found a crush.
His first thought was “mate”, but he shook his head letting out a dry laugh at the thought that he might’ve gotten lucky.
Then it also occurred to him that she had just seen all that happened.
‘At least she’ll fear me’. He thought to himself as he tried to shrug away the part of his heart that did not want her to fear him.
It has been 100 years since he was mature enough for a mate, and had searched far and wide but found none. He had already long given up hope on the thought of having a mate.
“Is there a problem?”. James asked Dario, his brows creased in confusion at the dry laugh and unreadable expression his best friend had on his face.
“I think so. Dexter is going crazy every time I look at that human female”. Dario sighed, confused, and a little excited at the little possibility that she could be his mate.
His fingers itched to tough her, and that thought angered him as much as it excited him.
A mate meant a lot for him.
It meant he had a partner, could build his own family, had a chance at love, but also meant that he now had a weakness.
“No way!”. James exclaimed, already concluding in his head that the human was his mate.
On the other side, Marissa was scared to death. Her fear dripping off her in waves.
She had never seen anything like that and was shocked that a man could turn into a beast and
“He’s a monster”. She said to herself not knowing that the ‘monster’ she was referring to could hear it all.
Those three syllables cut through him like a knife and even he himself couldn’t understand why he was so affected by mere words from a tiny human.
Seeing the fire in Dario’s eyes, James stepped forward in an attempt to stop Dario from killing the human female, but instead, Dario grabbed the female, carrying her on his shoulders like a bag of chips, and walking towards the door.
She screamed, cried, cursed, and thrashed around but to no avail.
‘He’s going to kill me’
A far fetched dream that was now her reality. Today was the day she would finalize her marriage with Dario, the love of her life. The man that found her chained in an underground auction. She chuckled a bit at the thought because what are the odds? As she sat up in bed, Marissa took a deep breath, letting the reality of the moment wash over her. Today, she would step into a new chapter of her life, one that she had envisioned countless times. Her heart raced as she thought about the ceremony, the vows, and the promises they would make to each other. She could already picture Dario standing at the altar, his warm smile lighting up the room, and she felt a rush of happiness. According to their tradition, only now can she finally move in with him in a house separate from the pack house. After a quick breakfast, Marissa slipped into her wedding dress, a beautiful blue dress that flowed elegantly to the floor. The intricate lace detailing and delicate beading sparkled as she
In the heart of a dark, enchanted forest, where the trees whispered secrets and the moonlight barely pierced through the thick canopy, a coven of witches gathered. Their leader, the old formidable sorceress, had been watching the unfolding romance between Alpha Dario and Marissa, the beautiful daughter of the Moonlight Tribe. The ongoing and impending wedding was the talk of the supernatural world, and while many were excited, the witches also were, but had a different plan in mind. Seraphina, a young witch with her long, flowing robes and hair as dark as midnight, stood before her sisters. “We shall send them a gift,” she declared, her voice a melodic blend of excitement and mischief. “But not just any gift. It must be something that embodies the essence of our power and serves as a reminder of the balance between love and fear.” The witches murmured in agreement, their eyes glinting with a mix of excitement and trepidation. They began to conjure, their hands weaving intricate pat
Alpha Dario stood at the edge of the forest, the crisp morning air wrapping around him like a familiar cloak. The sun filtered through the trees, casting dappled shadows on the ground, and he took a deep breath, letting the scents of pine and earth fill his lungs. Today was a significant day, one that would mark the beginning of a new chapter in his life. He was preparing for his wedding to Marissa, the woman who had captured his heart and soul. As the Alpha of his pack, Dario felt the weight of responsibility on his shoulders. His role was not just to lead but to protect, nurture, and provide for his people. Marissa had been a beacon of light in his life, her laughter echoing in his mind as he thought about the vows he would soon recite. They had faced numerous challenges together, and each trial had only strengthened their bond. Now, as he prepared for their union, he wanted to ensure that his vows reflected the depth of his love and commitment. He had spent several nights and
Claire stood at the mouth of the stream with a gentle smile on her face, her heart swelling with joy. Today was a day of celebration, a day to honor the love between her brother, Alpha Dario, and his mate, Marissa. The air was filled with the sweet scent of blooming jasmine, and the sound of laughter echoed through the woods as friends and family gathered to witness the union of two souls destined to be together. Claire had always looked up to Dario, her older brother, who had taken on the mantle of leadership in their pack with grace and strength. As she watched him interact with Marissa, Claire could see the deep bond they shared, a connection that seemed to radiate warmth and happiness. James sat quietly on the edge of his bed, staring at the wall as the soft light of the afternoon sun streamed through the window. It was a beautiful day, the kind that made everything seem vibrant and alive, but his mind was preoccupied with thoughts of the upcoming main wedding. Alpha Dario and Marissa were finally tying the knot, and the excitement in the air was palpable. Yet, amidst the joy, James felt a swell of emotions that he couldn’t quite put into words. As he reflected on the journey that had brought them to this moment, memories flooded back moments of laughter, struggles, and the unwavering bond that had formed between them. Dario had always been more than just a friend; he was a brother, a mentor, and the kind of leader who inspired those around him. Marissa, with her infectious laughter and kind heart, had somehow become a sister to him. Regardless of the fact that he was still scared of her. Their love story was one for the ages, a testament to what it meant to tru
Dario stood in front of the mirror, adjusting his tie with a mix of excitement and nervousness. The sunlight streamed through the window, casting a warm glow over the room, but it was the sight of Marissa that truly illuminated his heart. She was in the other room, finalizing her own preparations, and he could hear her soft laughter mingling with the bustling sounds of their wedding day. He took a moment to admire the suit she had picked out for him. It was tailored perfectly, accentuating his broad shoulders and lean physique. The deep navy blue fabric shimmered subtly, hinting at a sophisticated elegance that was both timeless and modern. Marissa had insisted on the color, believing it would complement her dress beautifully, and Dario couldn’t help but agree. It was a bold choice, one that spoke to their shared taste for the extraordinary. As he ran his fingers over the smooth fabric, memories flooded his mind. He recalled the day Marissa had dragged him to the suit shop, her ey
Marissa stood in front of the full-length mirror, her heart racing with excitement and a hint of anxiety. Today was the day she would finally choose the dress for her wedding to Dario, the alpha of their pack. The sun streamed through the boutique's windows, casting a warm glow on the rows of beautiful gowns that surrounded her. Each dress seemed to whisper promises of love and happiness, but the pressure of making the perfect choice weighed heavily on her shoulders. As she stepped into the boutique, her best friend, Lila, was already there, flipping through a magazine while waiting for Marissa. Lila looked up and smiled brightly, her enthusiasm infectious. "I can't believe it's finally happening! You’re going to look stunning today, Marissa!"Marissa returned the smile, though her nerves still fluttered in her stomach. "I hope so. I just want to find something that feels right, you know? Something that captures how I feel about Dario."Lila nodded in understanding. "Of course! Let’s

The air was crisp, and the faint rustle of leaves whispered secrets of the night. He had always been a figure of strength and authority, the alpha who led his pack with unwavering resolve. She had been with the pack for a few months now, and he couldn’t shake the feeling that she was meant to be a part of their life. The thought had he could not just leave her by herself with no one in particular to take care of her, bothered him. He knew she was being taken care of, but she was still little and needed a family.
