239. Masquerade

[Amor’s POV]

An empty heart, an empty room, an empty tomorrow, a brush of longing and memories filled with her colours can make any normal man an artist, and that’s what had exactly happened to me over these three years.

There was no forgetting her for me. She was still burning my soul the same as she did three years ago. At times, I had powerful urges to give up everything and just find her. Every time I desired to see her, to have her glimpse, I used to shut my eyes, and she was there right in front of me.

I tried to picture her as she was in my memories in those portraits, but none of them were even close to the real Zeve. Over time, my paintings got better, but still none of my portraits could be compared to Zeve in my memories.

I tried my best to not think of her so often that I became sick, but sometimes I couldn’t help but miss her and long for her. I kept cursing myself for letting her go and then questioning myself if this wait would ever end.
