“ANNA TOOK IT well, don't you think?” Mitch asked as he and Draco went to his office.

“She did,” Draco nodded. “What else did the vampire say?”

Mitch made sure the door of his office was closed securely before he said, “ He practically offered an alliance.”

“I know it's crazy,” Mitch chuckled, walking to his seat. b

“You can't really believe him,” Draco said.

“Who knows?” Mitch shrugged. “This might actually be a good thing,” he said, ignoring the shocked look on Draco's face as he sat down and made himself comfortable before continuing, “I did not get to this position by ignoring offers that have the chance to help me.”

“Have you ever had a deal with a vampire before?” Draco asked.

Mitch shook his head and said, “Well, there is always a first time to everything.”

“Not with making an agreement with a vampire and expecting it to keep to the deal,” Draco said. “There will be no second time.”
