THE BOOK WAS boring as fuck. And that was even an understatement. He could feel his eyes closing as he read line after line. He knew more things now than he wanted to, but not what was necessary.

He never knew that Anna's great grandmother was a red wolf. Red wolves were extremely rare, and came only once or twice in a century. Some packs and tribes believed that they had some superstitious powers, but nothing had been proven yet. Most people just took it as a mutation of some sort - just like albinism was to humans.

Knowing that Anna's great grandmother was a red wolf was of no importance to him, or his cause, but he now knew it nevertheless.

He closed the last page of the book and leaned back, stretching his back and feeling the pop of his spine as it moved after a long time of staying stiff.
