CHAPTER 164

MITCH CHESTER

GONE WERE THE days when Mitch was insecure about how the children really saw him. Now, he knew they called him "Dad" but it was proper for them to meet their father. The man with whom they shared 50 percent of their genes.

Mitch went to the bathroom to take a quick shower, and suddenly, feeling tired, he crashed on the bed and slept off.

He awoke a few hours later to the sound of the bustling pack around. Bright sun rays were coming from the window, lighting up the room. He glanced at the bedside clock. It was past 7. He had not gotten barely enough sleep, but that was all he was going to get, so he got up from bed and stretched to relieve the ache in his neck and shoulders.

He washed up again and dressed up, taking a hot cup of coffee from the mixer as he walked out. He leaned against the doorframe of his room and watched the activities of the pack while sipping on the coffee.
