Wrath of rejection

Her hair suddenly turns red, and her breath thickens as she walks slowly and steadily toward alpha Lorenzo, who is now on his feet and staring at the dangerous creature in front of him. For the first time in his entire life, the power of a woman almost defeated him. That would've been the most humiliating experience of his life, but there was no way he'll let her do that to him. No one dares to try that with him.

"Attack!" Hearing the roar from the zeta, she stops abruptly and slowly clenches his fists whilst glaring hard at alpha Lorenzo, like she would devour him anytime soon. What has come over the gentle Iris that'll never look into anybody's eyes? What has come over the woman that respects the alpha so much to the point of treating him like her god? Is she signing a death contract?

Acting upon the order of the zeta, two guards charges at Iris, and stabs her back with daggers before she can defend herself.

"Incendio..." She whispers and snaps her eyes open. The room suddenly feels so hot to spend another minute in. All of the werewolves present scream at the top of their voices as they feel their body on fire. Their blood boil inside them, their heart wrenches in pain, and their bodies suddenly become sweaty.

"Ah! Help!" Screams erupt in the royal hall, as everyone tries to run for their lives, but too late as the door suddenly slams close, leaving everyone to their fate.

Her eyes are as red as a lump of burning coal, her dark aura surrounds the room and drowning them in fear. Her lengthy hair which was packed in a ponytail some minutes ago is now falling over her shoulders with flames on them. Her body is covered in beads of sweat, and her fingers, they're so long and have rough edges. A pinch from them would hurt the skin so badly.

"Iris..." Alpha Lorenzo's mouth drops open in shock, as he watches his people scream in pain and agony. His heart hurts as he watches them scream at the top of their voices until they can't scream anymore. He watches as they struggle to breathe, but there's nothing that he can do about this. He suddenly feels himself getting consumed by her aura, he feels like there's a demon in her that's controlling her right now. This woman doesn't look like the woman he bullied moments ago, the woman standing in front of him now, seems like a beast to him.

"Save us, alpha..."

"We're dying!"

"Please, save us!" Cries of his people echo in his ears as he watches them fall to their knees and slowly fall to the floor, vanishing into thin air after they turn into ash. One after the other, he watches his guards die, the werewolves from other packs too, and the children who had come to witness the event. He may be ruthless, but at this point, he feels his whole world crashing down on his feet, he feels like a weakling that can't even protect his people. Slowly, tears trickle down his cheeks as he watches her destroy everything.

"Stop it, Iris!" He finally manages to scream at the top of his voice, sending her roughly to the floor with a strong wave of air.

The corner of her lips slowly twitches into a dangerous smirk as she stares at him from the floor. She won't stop here, she will destroy everything, and she will make him pay for humiliating her in front of everyone. He has to pay for using her all these years and thinks that he can reject her now.

"Why should I stop, Lorenzo?" Her voice sounds rough and cold, as she stands up to her feet again. This woman has really been possessed by some demon, if not the devil himself.

"You brought this upon yourself, Lorenzo! No one messes with me and goes free... Nobody dares me and live to tell the story..." She laughs dryly, glaring hard at him.

"What are you now? A weakling that can't even protect his people. You're so pathetic! It's a shame that you can't protect your people. You will watch me destroy everything, Lorenzo!" She screams at the top of her voice, and another round of heat takes over the royal hall, leaving the few people alive in pain.

"Stop it, Iris!" He screams again, this time his voice is accompanied by pain and anger, and the strong wave of wind sends her across the hall. Hitting her head against one of the pillars in the royal hall, she falls to the floor and passes out. Slowly, the flame on her hair disappears, the beads of sweat that covered her body moments ago, slowly disappear, and her body looks so pale.

Looking around the hall to see the many injured and dead people littering the floor, more tears stream down his cheeks, and he falls weakly to his feet...

Minutes later in the prison...

Iris stares at her hands for the umpteenth time and rests her head on the wall afterward as drops of tears stream down the corner of her cheeks. Recalling the barbaric act of hers moment ago, she can't help wondering what came over her. She can't believe that the one that took so many lives moments ago, is her.

"Help, alpha..."

"We're dying..."

"Please save us," Their cries echo in her head, and she grabs her hair tightly, pulling it forcefully. The blood of those innocent werewolves will always remain in her hands, and she can't deny that. The cries of the children will always haunt her as long as she lives, and the pain in their eyes is the image that'll always be in her mind forever. What was she thinking? What came over her that pushed her to do that?

"Who am I? Just who the hell am I?" She mumbles to herself, running her fingers through her messy hair. This is the question she has been trying to answer for the past hours, but nothing is coming through for her.

Still lost in thoughts, the sudden sound of the chain on the prison gate pulls her attention, and raising her gaze, her doom welcomes her. Seeing alpha Lorenzo standing in front of her, she feels like she's already dead. He won't spare her, not after what happened moments ago. Even if it was his fault that she became like that, it still didn't worth it.

"Who are you?" He asks her after a few minutes of staring at her in silence, and she gulps down nothing nervously, her heart thumping heavily against her chest like it would force its way out anytime soon...
