“Well, I'm going to go and get Mari prepared before your mother gets here.” Bertha says and then she gets up and leaves the room.

“So she's just going to get up and leave after dropping that warning?” I asked no one in particular.

“I guess so.” Lena said.

“Lachlan tell the council to gather in the meeting room in ten minutes.” I told him and then he immediately got up to make some calls.

I turned and looked at Lena, she's been so nervous ever since Bertha said that we basically had to reveal everything single secret we had to each other. “How are you feeling?” I asked her.

“Overwhelmed, everything that Bertha just revealed is a lot. I thought we were done with all the revelations but I guess I was wrong.” She said.

“I get it, you've had this part of yourself that you've not known for years.” I say and she nods her head.

“I also know that what Bertha said about revealing everything to each other scared you, I'm also scared too, we just got back together
