After Killian and Lachlan leave, I go into the exam room to join Bertha and my father.

“There you are, you didn't leave with the boys?” She asked me as she looked up.

“No, I didn't. They had their meeting and I wanted to stay here and wait for my mum.” I told her as I looked down and Mari, her face had not a single mark on it, just in the few minutes that she was in here, Bertha had worked miracles on her face and she would do the same on the rest of her body. I was just hoping that she was fast enough so that my mother wouldn't see all the claw marks on her body, it was a hit to my father and so I know my mum won't be able to handle it.
