Chapter 106: RECONCILIATION

After Lachlan and Killian left the house, the tension between me and my father was thick, you could cut through it with a knife.

We just sat there looking at each other, neither of us want to be the one to talk first, even if I wanted to, I don't even have the words. I have imagined this day, seeing him and my mother for the first time after eight years and the things I would say to them, telling them how much they hurt me but now that I'm here, it all seems redundant especially with Mari being dead.

“You look good.” My father finally speaks up.

“Thank you.” I tell him.

“I don't know where to start from Lena.” He tells me and I can see that he's struggling.

“It's fine, we don't need to have this conversation now.” I tell him because really I'm not ready for it.

“No, I want to. There are no words enough to show you how sorry I am for not reaching out to you after Killian rejected you.” He said and remember before when I said I wasn't mad, well that just chang
