“What did you say?” Alpha Jaxon frowned upon hearing Diana’s words. He undid his buttoned polo shirt and ruffled his hair in agitation. With his movement, the earring from his right ear glinted under the room’s illumination.

Diana stopped herself from clicking her tongue or rolling her eyes. Instead, she repeated what she said, “We will bring you your mate before the Werewolf Committee get her. If we are late, both of you will suffer an irreversible fate.”

Determination gleamed from her eyes as she scanned the other five alphas. She stood side-by-side with her mate. Diana was not afraid. She was a Luna and she was by her mate’s side.

A low growl escaped from Alpha Jaxon’s lips. Canines flashed from his lips. Alpha Dylan took this as a potential danger to his mate. He pulled Diana by the wrist and hid her behind him. His towering figure stood behind the six alphas and Diana.

“Easy,” said Dylan, “We are informing you in advance. My mate and I will leave immediately. We will delay the me

Hackles raised, Dylan positioned. He was making sure that he would be as fast as he could be if something went wrong with the array. He would be damned to sacrifice his mate’s safety for a war that was yet to come! Growling lowly, his beast’s canines were exposed. It gleamed dangerously against the moonlight sheen. On the other hand, Diana finally made contact with the tip of the pebble. A soft sigh escaped from her ashen lips when she did not end up dead. Seeing there was no violent reaction from the kill spell, Diana’s train of thought and theory was immediately pursued. ‘Do it,’ Teshin urged Diana at the back of her mind. Though her fingertips were still trembling, Diana did not hesitate when she touched the pebble soaked beneath the stream, hidden behind the enchanted boulder. Closing her eyes, she let her magic escape from her fingertips as she probed. The way she let her small wisp of magic string probe the exterior and interior pebble, it was as if Diana was creating a map

Witches were particularly sharp against werewolves – their natural enemy. But against a freak of nature like Diana Ritchell, who was a part witch and a pure werewolf? Witches did not even blink when she dashed past them. From the moment Diana jumped off from the tree she was perched on, she followed the thread of fate. It was the instinct wherein her wolf, Teshin, was giving her the instructions from the back of her mind. Her eyes gleamed with desperate glint. Bordering between red and blue, Diana continued to flick her left wrist as she trudged into the building of the Genesis Coven. A sense of desperation added with the primal instinct to protect her mate and, of course, a touch of forgetting magic were mixed in. Thus, it created this bizarre situation. In her mind, a spell continued to chant – Chalimto. It was the word that came to her mind the moment she feared that she would be discovered. Uttering this in her mind repeatedly as her wrist flicked in resonance was the key to w

Red.Everything was red in Diana’s eyes. From the dried blood splattered around the floor and walls nearest to Diana’s hiding spot just a little beyond the corner to the center of the vast room where fresh crimson ink oozed like a stream – everything was red. The hue of flame illuminated the room. With each press of the molten iron onto the person’s back or limbs, the stale air of the room vibrated. The rattling of the enchanted chains and the screams of that person blended into a horrifying symphony. At the podium, which was the center of the illumination, a woman was chained.Though naked, her skin could not be seen from the open wounds and dried blood that littered her petite body. From her neck to her wrists, then to her ankles, the woman with frizzy hair was limped. She looked almost dead.Three… Nine… Twelve. There were twelve warlocks, each of them sharing one look – the curled lips of the devil. Two warlocks were making sure that the fire kept burning. Upon the momentary lapse of the twelve warlocks, Diana did not waste time. She raced to her mate and released the enchanted chains with a flick of her wrist before she moved to Talia and did the same. Kneeling between the two unconscious people with her back against the two, Diana raced against time. As the released magic undid the chains, she placed her palms on the two people’s chilling skin and whispered the spell. “Faurereium.” On cue, Dian felt the warmth of her magic that came from her soul – her strong desire to cure the two manifested by giving her magic an amber gleam as soon as it left her palm. This series of actions happened in three minutes. In the desolate and cold room, the warmth of her healing magic spread had awoken the frozen stupor of the twelve warlocks. “Stop the traitor!” “Who is she?” “I don’t know! I haven’t seen her face since I came to the coven and that is a long time!” “A newbie witchling?” “That caliber of magic? She’s no witchling,” a grim voice

“W-What is happening?” asked the warlock from Diana’s right side. His eyes wandered around the dungeon.Mirroring his action, the other ten warlocks gaped at the bizarre scene unfolding around them. They were the wielders of the power of nature, but even they were in awe of this unknown magic.Witnessing the murky floor turned into a marble one; or how the bloody and pungent walls became comparable to the hall of glory and festivities within their tower walls; or how gold littered the ceiling with hanging chandeliers everywhere.Gone was the rancid dungeon feared by many witches and warlocks, replaced with a beautiful room that was comparable to a Superior’s chamber! One warlock pinched himself and asked in a daze. “Are you sure we did not trigger a teleportation?”Upon the mention of their spell, the eleven warlocks finally snapped their attention to the woman who uttered an unknown enchantment at the same moment as them.‘Shit!’ Diana cussed at the back of her mind.Diana was hoping

A pained gasp escaped from Diana’s parched and cracked lips. Looking down, her shaky gaze met a pair of fierce ones, reminding her of the stormy seas. In a whisper, she called out a name. “Dylan… You’re awake.” Dylan sat up. His eyes gave a quick scan of his body before he looked around. Then, his gaze, which grew colder by the second, finally settled on the woman standing beyond the translucent barrier. “Why are you here? I told you to stay there no matter what!” Reaching out, Dylan stood and was about to step beyond the barrier when he was sent backward – rendering him speechless. Realization dawned upon him as he looked at his mate who was looking at him with a tear-stricken face. “Take this thing off –watch out!” Dylan banged the barrier in an attempt to move toward his mate when he saw a pillar that was about squash the crying Diana. Pillars and walls of bricks were about to crush her body when they disintegrated before they could even touch her body.Though she was on the verge of passing out, Diana still knew what was happening around her. When she saw how she was saved from the eminent death, she looked around and saw a silhouette standing to her right side. The wave of dust and smoke made it vaguer for Diana to see who it was no matter how she squinted her eyes. In a raspy voice, she asked the unknown savior.“W-Why did you save me?”The silhouette turned and was about to leave her be when the unknown person answered Diana. “Because you saved that child from hell.”By that child, Diana reckoned that the unknown savior was somehow connected to Talia.A depreciating smile appeared on Diana’s face as she exhausted the last bit of her energy in talking and turning on her back. Staring at the setting moon, she whispered to herself, not minding if the other heard her or not.“Who knows? Maybe

It was as if death came itself. In front of the behemoth of a wolf, the smell of death – their death – was around the corner. It loomed over the elder witches and elder warlocks. Even with their life experience, the scythe of death hovered over their necks and they could feel its imposing power with their magic. Gustav was the first one to snap out of their trance. With a wave of his hand, a staff appeared within his grasp. “Surround it” Superior Ricoz frowned. Like what Gustav did, the others also waved their hands and retrieved their staffs and wands. It had been years since they last summoned them. “What sorcery are we doing this time? What spell can bind that?” asked Superior Ricoz. “Ask later!” Gustav looked at the other elders. “Let’s recreate the seal! On to your positions!” Gustav took the lead and positioned himself at the head of the formation which was directly in front of the growling wolf. On cue, the four elders took their designated position. If Diana was here, sh

Long ago, when the Moon Goddess slept inside the cradle of oblivion, Comba was the only god of the world. Just like how the Moon Goddess blessed the werewolves with their wolf counterparts, Comba blessed the witches with the ability to command the nature at will across the seven seas. The gift given by Comba was the reason why witches stood at the peak of the chain with so much difference in power compared to the races beneath them. It was because of this peculiar and convenient blessing that the witches were both revered and feared by the other races. They revered them for their strength and they feared them for the little sense of empathy towards the lower races. They treated the werewolves as their slaves. For many centuries, werewolves were skinned as their clothes while the werewolves’ heads hanged by their homes and gates as ornaments. It was a time that werewolves almost became instinct. Female werewolves were exploited for sick entertainment while male werewolves were used as

Clad in an epsilon-ranked uniform of the enemy camp, the shade of red and black did wonders against the snow-like complexion of Dana and the noble elf as they trudged the empty plains of the southern territory. Kicking the piles of snow and stones in her way, Diana cleared the path for Gelong who was walking behind her like a duckling following its mother goose. The heaving sound of a set of constricted lungs made her stop. She turned around as she untied the black tattered satin from her neck before she placed it around Gelong’s frostbitten neck and chin.“We will find a safety spot for you with food and enough heat to last you as you wait for me.” Diana muttered under her breath. A ghost of a translucent smoke escaped from her chapped lips.Upon her words, Gelong lifted her chin to meet a set of orbs staring at him already – making him want to step back like always. “Where are you going? You are not planning to go into this plan without me, aren’t you?”On instinct, his hands found

Heavy footsteps together with the rattling of chains echoed within the empty corridors of the fortress they were staying at. The silent breathing of the elven folk did not leave unnoticed for Diana as the two of them were on high alert as they trudged within the hallways of the keep. Diana gritted her canines, enough to make her taste her blood trailing down her throat. She did not like, especially Teshin, how they were chain into submission. Had it not been for the remaining logic within her mind, she was sure that the corridor walls would have bathed the blood of the delta-ranked werewolf traitors.Three trecherous delta-ranked werewolves, clad with their uniforms which the insignia of the secret circle was embroidered, wore smug faces as they held the leash that the prisoners were bound to. One of the delta-ranked werewolves, who had a bloody knuckle, pulled the leash he was holding on a whim. On cue, Diana stumbled forward – losing her footing and which made her chin kiss the dust

The tip of the claw grazed Diana’s throat. Upon seeing her crying face, the first alpha, who was apprehensive about everything, was about to step forward when the second alpha, who was constantly courting death, spoke again. “Bring him in.”On cue, the enormous double doors of the throne room opened followed by the rattling of chains and the painful grunts of the person being dragged ensued. Diana, who was not able to turn her head, waited for the person to be brought in front of her. A couple of meters away from him, wildflowers started to bloom in the middle of the snowstorm. The trail of flowers led to the trudging person, heading in the direction of the man. Amidst the temperature, his thin cloth barely covered his dainty body paired with his bare feet that buried a mark on the white-colored ground with every step he took, and a pair of eyes glowed like the rising moon.“Took you long enough to come here,” said the man who waited. His back was on him when he stood a meter away from the newly arrived person.“I enjoyed the last of my vacation for I know that the time has come for us to move; we will have no luxury to relax anymore.” The sweet voice answered the man. He took a step and moved ahead, striding past him before he kneeled in front of the tomb. “Rush vanala. It has been years since I last talked to you, but now we can’t do that anymore.” Lumeria, the dryad, heaved a shaky sigh before he continued. “And like what I promised, the wolven race is at stake.

Diana, who was left alone with the leader of the enemy, started to question why she was there. She somehow realized that it was not sheer curiosity that made him call her—it was something more. And for whatever it was, Diana felt she would not like wherever this ‘talk’ was going.“You are from the Crescent Pack, right? And you’re a hybrid as well.” The enemy leader started to speak without even telling her to raise her head.“Yeah right.” Though her head was bent down, Diana spoke with a clear and calm voice which the enemy leader found quite vexing. His eyes gleamed with malediction.“And when was the last heat of your pretty little shapeshifter? I am quite curious to spawn a hybrid of an elf and a wolf. They said that male elves can conceive as well.” This time, the enemy leader cracked a grin upon seeing the hybrid luna in front of him go rigid. He was ecstatic to know that the infamous hybrid luna’s weakness was someone so trivial —something that should be easy to deal with. Seein

‘I have parents to avenge and a pack to protect – from the sidelines. Killing the abominations will be my priority to stop the plausible scenario where the innocent would get killed in a war, not theirs to fight and die for. I need this war to stop escalating, and I need my mate and my vassals to do that. But where are they?’Teshin, after encountering Shananel, answered at the back of her mind. ‘They are nearby, Diana. A small table was placed near her with a jar and a cup of water along with a piece of bread and dried meat. There were also some white pieces of cloth folded neatly beside the place as if Dylan was telling her to change her wretched clothes. The lamp that was hanging near the pillar had almost ran out of flame and the dozens of rushed footsteps from different directions right outside her tent were a telltale sign that the war had taken a pause but it was yet to end.“I am in an Alliance encampment,” said Diana as realization dawned upon her. After taking all the pieces together, she was a hundred percentile sure that the blood alpha had brought her in the encampment.‘Then, the abominations and Shananel did not chase us.
