Ep 2 : Conspiracy?

Maryn lifted her head still having one hand on her forehead. As she peeked at the man standing in front of her, the man took a step backward.

He has never seen such a beautiful woman before. In her green emerald eyes, he felt like losing himself. 

"Mate!" His inner wolf, Adieu snarled.

It was yesterday night, for the first ever time he met her. HIS MATE. He was not supposed to go but at the last time, he went to see her with his eyes. But when he saw her with another man, Adieu was uncontrollable. 

That feeling again... Though he didn't want he felt like caressing her hand, going close to her but he wanted to control himself from doing that. 

"We have decided, Linda is our mate." He shot Adieu.

"No, this is our mate!" Adieu rampaged.

Adieu had been a great buddy all the time, he never went back on his words but this time, he knew no barrier. The man was trying to control but his hands were uncontrollable so his legs were. His eyes were fixed on her, he took a step forward to touch her.

"So handsome." On the other hand, Maryn couldn't stop looking at him. Tall and handsome man with such a figure, he surely worked out every day... He could even defeat her ex-boyfriend in both looks and height, Maryn couldn't stop comparing them.

The man was about to touch her face, seeing that Maryn trudged backward making a clear distance between. "This line is getting popular quite faster. Anyway, I never met you before."

He was startled and a little bit disappointed. Strange! He made it clear to himself that he would not be affected when he would meet his mate that was chosen by the Moon Goddess. Then why now he was dissatisfied...

Putting his hand in his pocket and hoping it would work, he asked her in a serious tone, "Why were you running just now?"

"Are you one of the kidnappers?" Instead of answering him, she threw him a question.

This never happened before though, he gets angry when someone does that. But he did not get angry at Maryn. NOT AT ALL. "Kidnappers? Me?"

Looking around Maryn glared at him again and then she told him, "I was kidnapped yesterday. I don't know anything about this place. I just want to run away from here. How about you...." 

Maryn had no idea who was he, he didn't expect it. He thought she would know everything once she would meet him but nothing was happening as he thought. When he was still glaring at her, observing her movements Maryn was glaring around in search of something.

"Alpha Adolf." Suddenly Maryn saw people standing behind the man. Maryn would probably think that he was in trouble too if not hearing them calling him that.

She clearly remembered a man from yesterday night called thee another man who entered the room by that name too. 

The man was glaring at her. Feeling that she was in danger, Maryn was about to take a step but the man held her hand.

"So you are the pervert from yesterday night. Now I know, who are you." She shot him an angry look.

Hearing her, he was impressively amazed. She was daring indeed. Maryn pulled her hand hoping he would let her go but the grip was tight, she couldn't do anything at all. Instead, she saw the men behind him were giggling at her.

Getting angry, Maryn shrieked at them angrily. "What are you laughing at? Don't you guys have any shame at all? How can you kidnap girls?"

"You guys can leave. And you, come with me." The man held her wrist and started wondering.

Maryn was not going to back up. Who knew what he was thinking of? There could be many possibilities. Suddenly Maryn bit his hand, leaving quite a strong effect on him but still, he didn't let her go. Instead, he turned towards her and glared at her coldly.

Maryn took a step backward, getting frightened. 

"Do you know why are you here?" As he asked her she nodded her head in denial.

"Do you know who I am?" Maryn shoved her head again as she didn't know anything.

"Do you want to leave here?" This time Maryn glared at him and answered, "Yes, I want to leave. I don't want to know anything. Just let me go."

This was what he wanted the most. He thought she would not want to leave and instead be his mate but she was the opposite. 

"No, you must know it. I will tell you the much you are supposed to know. I am Alpha Adolf, your... Your mate." He let her hand go and stood still. His mate... Well, just a mate in the name. He had chosen someone else as his mate anyway.

"M..... Maryn? Maryn?" He had still so much to tell her but suddenly she fainted in his arms. Thankfully, this morning he got all her details so he knew her name now. He simply planned to reject her at the ceremony but now, he thought telling her everything himself would be the best but unexpectedly she lost her sense.

"Mate...." That one word reverberating in her ears, Maryn suddenly shot her eyes open while grabbing the blanket tight.

She was breathing heavily while looking at the roof. This time she found herself in a room, everything was at its perfect stake. Maryn couldn't understand where she was.

'My cellphone...' Touching her jeans pocket she remembered that she was no longer wearing the same clothes.

She stared at the door and getting up she quickly ran towards it. She tried opening the door but she found out that the door was locked from outside. "Is anybody there? Please let me go... Hello?" She hit on the door slightly but only her words were getting back at her.

"I can't believe they can keep me here like this. I will surely leave from here." Maryn hit on the door harder.

Before fainting, Maryn still remembered the face of that man. She was now thinking of herself as stupid to think that he was a handsome man. 'Annoying!!!'

While working at the bar, she saw many handsome men but Alpha Adolf was somewhat different.

It was only after some minutes when Maryn felt someone was near the door.

Getting a glimpse of hope, she hit on the door again, "Please help me! Please let me go! I swear I really won't split any word to the police. Please let me go..."

The person standing behind the door showed no sign of wanting to help her. Maryn thought the last chance was gone now, she could not leave.

Suddenly the door was opened, her eyes were shimmering as she smiled in happiness and glared at the girl who opened the door for her.

"You...." But as she saw her she was surprised to see that they were wearing the same dress.

"I can't help you to run away or they will... They will kill me." The girl told her so.

"Then, why did you...."

"I have something important to tell you. I think you should know everything." Saying so the girl looked around and then pushing Maryn, she entered the room and then closed the door quickly.

Maryn on the other hand couldn't understand anything, she was astounded. The girl seemed terrified as if someone was watching her and she would die at any time soon.

"What do you want to say?" Maryn inquired her.

Taking a deep breath, the girl commenced, "You are Alpha Adolf's Mate, his supposed Luna. Tomorrow in the ceremony, he will reject you. Once he rejects you, you both will be in great pain. And especially you, I have heard that as you are a human, you will suffer badly."

"What are you saying? Mate, Luna... Sorry, I don't understand. Can you explain?" Maryn was puzzled.

Looking around herself, the girl nodded her head and then handed Maryn a paper. "Everything is written here in case you wouldn't understand me, I have prepared it for you. Once you read it, you will know everything."

"Huh?... But why are you helping me?"

As Maryn asked her, the girl smiled at her. "I am a human too, I want to help you as much as I can."

"Human. We all are human. What are you saying? Haha."

Maryn tried to laugh as she thought that girl was crazy but the girl's expression didn't change. She seemed to be very serious.

"Wait, you mean... You mean they... The people here are not human?"

"No, they are not." The girl responded. Hearing the girl, Maryn felt like laughing so hard. She couldn't just keep control and even started laughing.

Like what the h*** she was saying? Maryn never heard about those things before. Though she heard that supernatural power exists but for real? And if they were not human then what were they?

Seeing Maryn laugh and take it as a joke, the girl let out a sigh and asserted, "I know it's hard to believe at first but you will understand everything soon. And I don't know if what I said will help you or not but if you can... Please run away from here. I am not sure but I have heard that the pain will be very painful and only Alpha Adolf can help you to get through it but he won't help you. He... He has another woman, he wants to...." Maryn was not listening to her with all her attention. The things she was saying were not making any sense to Maryn.

The girl definitely had many things to say still but all of a sudden, someone hit on the door. Both Maryn and the girl looked at each other, scared.

"Open the door!" A man shouted out while hitting on the door.

"Mar..." The girl swallowed hard and looked at Maryn.

"Don't worry. Nobody can hurt you." Saying so Maryn held her hand. She was ready to protect the girl and herself anyhow. She already believed the girl and she was going to do like the girl would tell her but suddenly Maryn heard some words whispering in her ears...

"Tell her that she is his mate. You will take her out of that room and then make her believe you completely. Remember, your job is to send her to Alpha Adolf's room..." 

All her trust in her was now gone, Maryn felt anger rushing through her vein. She was extremely enraged and that anger now was unmanageable...

"Hey? What are we gonna do? They might kill...." The girl yanked Maryn's hand when Maryn was standing at the same place as a shrine.

Thinking she might be scared, the girl turned towards her to pull her out of the trance but what she saw made her... shiver... The person standing in front of her was Maryn or someone else? She didn't know.

"I hate it when someone I trust lies to me, did you know? Lily." Suddenly Maryn extended her hand towards the girl when somebody broke into the room...
