I groaned as I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock. Another day of school, another day of enduring the constant bullying and taunts from my classmates. I got out of bed and started getting dressed, trying to find something to wear that didn't make me stick out like a sore thumb.

Eventually, I settled on a simple blouse and skirt, that didn’t quite fit properly. My hair settled on a neat pomo tail on my head, and I sighed as I stared ar the mirror. Everything was just so plain. I looked so plain.

"Good morning, Sira," my mother said as I stumbled into the kitchen. "Did you sleep well?"

"Not really," I muttered. "I just want to get through another day of school."

"I know it's hard, but you can do it," she said, giving me a reassuring smile. "And we're so proud of you for working so hard to support us."

My father looked up from his newspaper and frowned. "You look tired, Sira. Are you getting enough rest?"

I shrugged, not wanting to worry them further. "I'm just a bit sore from work yesterday. It's nothing."

My mother placed a plate of bread and eggs in front of me. "You should eat something before you go. You need your energy."

I forced a smile and started eating. As I chewed, I couldn't help but think about how unfair it all was. Why did I have to be the one to work so hard while others had everything handed to them on a silver platter?

I finished my breakfast and stood up, ready to head out the door. My parents gave me a worried look as I left.

"Be careful, Sira," my mother called after me.

I smiled weakly in response, feeling a pang of guilt in my chest. My parents relied on my income as a maid in the alpha's house, and I knew how much they struggled to make ends meet. I wished I could do more for them, but it seemed like no matter how hard I worked, it was never enough.

As I walked to school, I could feel the weight of their stares on me. I knew what they were thinking, knew what they were saying behind my back. It was the same thing every day. But it still hurt, still made me feel like I was worth nothing.

"Hey, look who it is," one of my classmates sneered as I walked by.

"Leave me alone," I muttered, trying to keep my head down.

"Why? We're just having some fun," another one chimed in. "It's not like you have anything better to do."

I gritted my teeth and kept walking, trying to ignore them. But the words kept echoing in my head, over and over again.

During class, I tried to focus on the lesson, but my mind kept wandering. I couldn't help but think about how much better everyone else seemed to have it. They had nice clothes, fancy phones, and a group of friends to support them. Meanwhile, I was all alone, with nothing to my name but the clothes on my back.

At lunchtime, I sat alone at a table in the corner of the cafeteria, trying to eat my sandwich without drawing attention to myself. But it was no use. A group of girls came over and started taunting me, calling me names and making fun of my clothes.

"Look at her, trying to be all fancy," one of them sneered.

"Yeah, like she's fooling anyone," another one added.

"Leave me alone," I said, my voice shaking.

"Why? So you can go cry in a corner somewhere?" they laughed.

I tried to ignore them, but the words stung. It felt like a knife being twisted in my gut.

“Can you please go?” I asked, now tired of their games. This only made them giggle more.

As the girls continued to taunt me, my cheeks grew hotter and hotter. I felt like everyone in the cafeteria was staring at me, judging me for being different. My sandwich suddenly felt like a boulder in my throat, and I couldn't take another bite.

I tried to focus on my breathing, in and out, in and out. But the girls' voices drowned out everything else. I could hear their laughter echoing in my head, taunting me with every cruel word.

The worst part was that they were right. I didn't fit in here. My clothes were too old and too small, and my hair was a mess. I didn't have any friends, and I spent most of my time alone. But I didn't know how to change, how to become like them.

“And if we refuse?” Ada, the head minion of the group replied, If i didn’t know her voice, I could have been convinced she was a Jessica Rabbit replica. Her shiny blond hair bounced behind her head as she spoke.

I didn’t say anything to them anymore. Ada was one of the elder’s children, in the pack, and I didn’t want any drama with her.

But the girls didn't seem to take the hint. They continued to taunt me, making crude jokes and snickering amongst themselves. I felt my frustration boiling over.

"Seriously, just leave me alone," I said, my voice shaking with anger.

"What's the matter, Sira? Can't handle a little teasing?" Ada sneered.

"I don't see what's so funny about making fun of someone," I shot back.

"Oh, come on. We're just having a bit of fun," she replied, rolling her eyes.

I didn't want to fight with Ada. She was one of the elder’s children, after all, and I knew that if I crossed her, it could mean trouble for me and my family. But I couldn't just let her bully me like this.

"Look, I don't want any trouble," I said, trying to keep my voice calm. "Just please, leave me alone."

"Fine, we'll leave you alone," Ada said with a smirk. "But only if you do something for us."

"What do you want?" I asked, feeling a sense of dread in the pit of my stomach.

"Simple. Just do our homework for us," she said, tossing a crumpled piece of paper at me. "We'll be back for it at the end of the day."

I stared at the papers, feeling a mix of anger and disbelief. They were using me, just like they always did. But what choice did I have? If I refused, they would just make my life even more miserable.

"Fine," I muttered, snatching the paper from the ground.

"Good girl," Ada said with a smirk. "Now run along and get to work."

I watched them leave, disgust at myself forming a knot in my chest. The bell rang swiftly, and I quickly pushed in my half eaten sandwich inside my bag as I hurried through the empty hallway for my next class, My coffee in my hands.

The paper containing the questions for the home work Ada and her minions had given me almost fell from my hand, distracted.

I managed to save it, and almost immediately, I bumped into someone, and the coffe  I was holding went flying out of my hands, scattering all around both me and the person I had bumped into, as I watched, horrified as the coffee slipped from my hand, and poured straight down to a white T shirt. I gasped.

“Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry, I-

I paused in between my sentences as I looked up and realized who I had bumped into.

My heart skipped a beat when I realized who I had just collided with.

I stood there frozen, gaping at him like a fish out of water. I couldn't believe it. Of all the people in the pack, I had to bump into the one person I was most afraid of.

I had just bumped into the Alpha. And I had poured hot coffee on him. I think I might have died a little in me.

Eros stood tall, with broad shoulders that tapered down to a narrow waist. His black hair was swept back in a messy style, giving him a wild, untamed look. His piercing blue eyes seemed to see right through me, and I felt a shiver run down my spine.Suddenly, he snapped at me, and his voice was like thunder, booming through the hallway. "Watch where you're going, girl!" he barked, his lip curling in disgust as he looked down at me.I could feel my cheeks burning with embarrassment as everyone in the hallway turned to look at us. Eros was making a spectacle of me, and I could tell that he enjoyed it."Don’t you know your place anymore?" he continued, his tone mocking. "You should be more careful around your betters.""You're just a lowly maid," he said, his voice dripping with disdain. "Don't forget your place."I wanted to sink into the floor and disappear, but I couldn't move. Eros' presence was overwhelming, and I felt trapped in his icy gaze.As he towered over me, I noticed the in

I had been waiting for this day for years, ever since I first heard about the werewolf community's mating ceremony. It was the day when those of us who were coming of age would finally be able to smell and recognize our mates. And today, on my 19th birthday, it was finally my turn.I tried to push aside my nerves and focus on the excitement as I made my way to the clearing in the woods where the ceremony was being held. The air was thick with anticipation, and I could feel my heart pounding in my chest as I approached the bonfire. The pack had gathered together, and I could see familiar faces all around me. But as I looked around, I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. What if I didn't find my mate tonight? What if I was destined to be alone forever? As I approached the edge of the clearing, the scent of burning wood and wildflowers filled my nose. The sound of excited chatter and laughter mixed with the soft rustle of leaves in the wind, creating a cacophony of noise that filled

Eros’s face suddenly turned grim as he took in who I was. He scoffed, like he was staring at a joke. And I knew that he knew. He could smell it, and he could feel the pull. All of a sudden, he grabs my hands, walking us to the crowd, not even bothering to look at me. And that was when I began to sense something bad was about to happen. I tried to remove my hands from his grip, but it was too starting. We reached the crowd, and Eros pulled me forward, still not looking at me. The other werewolves around us seemed to sense that something was off, and they grew quiet as we approached. Finally, Eros stopped and turned to face me. His expression was cold and hard, and I could feel my heart sinking in my chest. As Eros's grip on my hands tightened, I could feel the tension in the air. The other werewolves around us were watching with a mixture of curiosity and unease. I tried to pull away, but his hold was too strong."What's going on, Alpha Eros?" I asked, my voice trembling slightly. He d

There was an acute pain in my heart like it was a tangible force. I felt my lips quibble with pain as I slowly crashed to the floor. It was in that moment that strong hands hoisted me towards him. I angled my face to the side as I stared right at Cancil. He had a small smile on his lips, which instantly put me at ease.“Are you all right?” He asked softly.I wanted to speak, but words could not easily be formed. Internally, I screamed for him to get me out of there. I felt like a puppet at an exhibition. It made me want to hide somewhere, and never come out again. These people were a part of my pack, yet they didn’t care about my feelings. It was not like it was a surprise, but still…“Come,” Cancil said this time with all firmness. He helped me to my feet, and lightly placed his arm around my waist. I leaned closer to him, and allowed him lead me out of the tense field. The rumours seemed to breakout at that exact moment, and I blocked my ears to the words they said.As we walked th

My head hurt as a demon as I tried to stand on my two feet in the dining area. I was slightly weak and I didn’t want to go to school. The humiliation would be too much, but I had no idea how to tell my family this. They wouldn’t be able to understand anything, and it felt like a giant waste of time. Don’t get me wrong, they loved me to the moon and back, but there was the enviable feeling that I should suck things up and move forward. Now, mother beat the egg as she tried to make my breakfast. I watched the press without any feeling. I was not hungry, and I was down. “Sira, please go over to the dining and wait. I would be done soon,” she said softly.I looked at her. “I don’t want to eat,” I said quietly. She looked at me as she stirred the eggs, and I noticed that she had on a grimace. It was weird to see that on her face when she was always so supportive. I sighed as I turned towards the breakfast table, feeling my shoulder slump forward.“Is it because of him?” She asked calmly.

“Don’t be scared,” Cancil said beside me.I turned to him slowly. “I’m not scared, but I just want to go to class,” I said firmly. He nodded. I turned towards the place where I had seen Eros last. He had left there. He simply didn’t care about how they bullied me. I don’t know what I was expecting, but at least, he should have been kinder to me at least. It hurt me so much when he treated me this way.I felt a hand on my arm, and I noticed that Cancil had given me the signal to move ahead. I did as I was told, while pulling my bag closer to me. He walked in front of me, while the I followed closely behind him.“She needs a protector… such a slut,” someone rang out as I went closer to the gate.I blinked the pain of those words down, as I blinked in shock as I hit Cancil’s back. I had not realised that he had stopped moving, and turned towards the bullies. What was he doing? I didn’t want more trouble, and I wanted to get out of this type of situation. It would be for my own good, if t

I rushed after Cancil as other students snickered at us. I honestly didn’t care what they did because they had proven time and again that they were nothing but bullies, and nothing good could ever come out of them, so I have to be strong about the whole thing. It was the only way that things were going to work out for me. Cancil was moving so fast, and I quickly caught up with him, pulling him by the arm.He stared at me with sadness visible in his eyes. I had caused that?“Cancil, please talk to me,” I pleaded. He sighed. “Why?”I shook my head mentally. “What do you mean by why?” I asked back. Then, I realised what I was doing. This was no way to make a friend open up to you, and it brought the opposite results. “What I mean is, I have taken you as a friend, and friends always say whatever they feel to each other. I don’t think either of us would like it the other went home sad, or angry. Please, talk to me. I could make whatever he is right,” I pleaded. He sniffed and finally sigh

I was finally done with the chores, and I was so exhausted, emotionally, and physically. This was a pain that I never imagined that I would go through in my life. I knew I had to be strong, and I was actually good at it since Cansil came back, but seeing Eros had made me so weak. It was so painful to note that I would never be loved by him.The more I acted like I didn’t care, the more the hurt dived deeper into my chest. With a sigh, I placed the cleaning tools where in the storage room, and grabbed my box. I was so grateful to the moon goddess that Eros had not able to return. I didn’t want to see him at all to avoid being hurt anymore. The pack house was so quiet, as I made my way out closing the door behind me. It was getting late, so I decided to quicken my pace. The weather was a bit chill this period, and I tried hard not to break under the intensity of it.I sighed as I followed the clear path, and tried hard to think of positive thought, even though my brain was making it dif

I shut my eyes due to the immense pain I felt and by the time I opened it, I noticed a man staring at me.Soon, I guessed it was the cab I ordered. I wanted to give him a scolding of his life but not while I was standing on the walkway by the roadside so I took my seat and told him my destination. As soon as the car took off, I began lamenting.“Do you want to get me blind?” I spoke authoritatively. The next thing that followed was an immediate and reckless halting of the car. He stepped on the break not caring if I was going to bang my head against the seat.“Now you want to end my life?” I uttered, angrily this time.He turned to face me as he soon gave a reply, “I did what I did so you’d notice I already came to pick you up sooner if your eyes weren’t glued to your phone and so I had no other choice than to flash my car lights at you.”After saying this, he rudely just turned on the engine and continued driving without even

The aroma of the food was capable of sweeping you off your feet, but I wasn’t happy. In fact, I didn’t have any appetite to eat as I felt disappointed earlier today.“Why didn’t she want to see me?” I couldn’t help but ask myself as I remembered what happened exactly today.“She watched me leave, which is very unlike her?” I couldn’t help but ask myself in surprise.“Was Cansil there with her, and that was why she probably didn’t want to see me?” I couldn’t help but ask myself, as different thoughts rummaged in my head.I kept on stirring the food before me, without making an attempt to eat it.“Your highness,” The new maid walked in, with a light smile on her face.I hissed lightly and shook my head, prepared to ignore her until she made the next statement.“Your highness, A lady is here to see you,” She said with a light smile, as I quickly turned to stare at her.“Who?” I couldn’t help but ask“She said her name was Sira?
