Hector is disoriented, disarrayed and doesn't know what to do or what to say. To his consternation he was stuck in between the lines. Should he put the whole blame on Hireath, his ex wife and Luna queen? Or should he say the truth and damn the consequences. Even if that means having everyone find out how badly he treated her and that may make them change their mind in helping them because they'll obviously see whatever calamity that befell them as the consequences for the wicked treatment of the previous queen.

He never imagined a day like this would come where he would be faced with a situation like this. But worse of it all is that the very queen they were asking about was right before his very eyes. What is he going to say? She now wields so much power and that alone can have his tongue off his lip if he says anything terrible about her. She can decide to tell the truth about what he and the entire Halo clan put her through and that will only put him and his clan into more danger. He was in a very compromising and confusing state.

He looked at his mother beside him and she was also in the same boat as him. He opened his mouth to speak up but he just couldn't utter any word. He looked around him, everyone's eyes all fixated at him. Their ears were itching to hear all he had to say. He looked at Hireath who had a blazing gaze at him. He felt as though the ground should open and swallow him up right that instant.

“Breath in Hector. You got this.” he whispered this to himself.

After much thinking. Hector weighed the odds. Some parts of him wants to tell them everything, how he and the members of his pack wrongly accused his queen of using contraceptive herbs and how she was not only scorned but tortured, beaten almost to death and sent on exile but the other part of him still wondering how the same woman accused of such is now another man's wife and mother of his two kids. This made Hector consider the possibility of Hireath being guilty of whatever allegations laid against her in the past.

That was when he decided to hold onto his grudge against her till the very end. “It's better she takes the fall this time as well. What should matter to me is not how bad of a person she sees me but how I can get the help I came here in search of. She now sees me as a monster, it's best I hold onto that reputation till the very end. If worse comes to worse, I'll find an opportunity to apologize to her in person if whatever I do now hurts her badly. I should worry about saving my clan first before saving my face before Hireath.” He concluded within himself.

“Ehm– ehm” Hector cleared his throat as he continued his story.

“My ex wife was someone I so much loved and cherished. She was adored not just by me but by the entire Halo clan. She was a virgin selected specially. But five years into our marriage, there was no sign of conception. That was when her secret was revealed and her true self shown to the world. All through our marriage she has been taking contraceptive herbs that prevented her from taking in and bearing forth children.”

“Preposterous, absurd, unbelievable.” Such remarks were made from everyone listening to Hector as it was indeed a very shameful act and highly unacceptable from a queen.

“She was severely punished according to laws and customs guiding the Halo clan. And it was since then things went sore with the Halo clan and we are yet to recover from it.”

“No wonder the moon goddess was silent. Now I see reasons for her silence on this trivial issue.” The chief elder said.

“Have you heard from the so-called queen after all these years?” the chief elder asked Hector .

“No, I haven't heard from her. Neither have I crossed paths with that vile woman ever since that day she was banished from the Halo clan for good.”

“Alpha Hector, I think what we should worry about is to find that woman. She should be brought back to make an atonement for all her atrocious acts that brought about the catastrophes the Halo clan are faced with.” A Gemma Lord threw in.

“Oh yes, she should be brought to dance to the tune of the music she created. She can't cause this much havoc and then hides away in cowardice. She should be brought out to face the heat. Who knows, that may be the long awaited solution. A brazen woman, a shameless braggart, a woman unabashed by her abominable act must be brought to order.”

Luna Emelda knew she had to say something as well to put a seal on Hector's side of the story. She was worried because the suggestion of bringing back Hector's ex Luna would n't just sit well with her. The woman in question is their wonderful queen staring at both her and Hector right in the eyes. She was now way superior to them. And just one word from her can change their fate. She tries to talk them out of it.

“My son, myself and the entire of the Halo clan has suffered immensely from the vile acts of that woman. How much more do we have to suffer? We don't want to remain stuck in the past. Can we really not bring her into this? She's out of the picture, can't it just remain that way. Going back to bring her is like opening an already healed wound. Let us just hope on the moon goddess and wait for her to speak up”

“We understand how you feel, but what if bringing her back from her hiding is the solution. Then let's not take chances. She caused this mess and it's best she clears it. Why then would the innocent suffer while the guilty roam free? You have nothing to worry about, we'll do anything in our power to find her. You have my word and my word is my honor.” the Gemma Lord who was already sorry for Hector, Luna Emelda and the Halo clan gave them his word.
