Chapter 97

Scarlet POV

I managed to close my eyes throughout the night but while I slept I could feel tears streaming down my eyes as if I was in a trance.

My eyes were unstable while they were still close, I couldn’t stay a second without thinking of Noah and playing the scene at the battlefield a million times in my head.

I fold up at the right end of the rickety bed and Supreme faces the left side of the bed, struggling to hold back the tears. She has finally realized how foolish she has been, and that could only explain why she is apparently in great shock.

As the morning brightens a bit, there is a sudden loud knock on the door that seems to startle the two of us because we abruptly rise from the bed at the same time.

After the loud knock on the door, there is an earsplitting voice that came afterwards and it sounds so much like the girl we saw yesterday at the kitchen.

“ That’s Jessica.” Supreme confirms with her hoarse voice that is obviously cracked.

“ What? It’s just 5a.m for fuck sake!
