Scarlet POV

I stay outside the cell getting freeze by the cold, but that doesn’t matter. What matters is staying outside with them, they are all frighten and the least I could do for them, is to make them calm.

They are not alone. I’m not leaving them despite the screams at me to get out of the cold.

I lay against the prison gate, shivering till the day breaks out.

As the day brightens, I hear the sounds of footsteps approaching the cell causing me to abruptly stand on my feet as the surge of protectiveness becomes stronger around my chest.

When I heard the foot steps, I knew the guards were coming for them again because I know Dave can go to any extent to make their lives miserable.

They walk closer and I see those whips in their hands again, this time, they are looking scarier.

“ Wow, so you slept outside in the cold just to protect them?” Dave falls out from their back and begin to approach me with those ugly smirks on his lips.
