Chapter 101

Noah POV

A painful groan escapes my lips as my eyes snap open. Darkness surrounds me as I try to sit up.

My whole body aches like hell, especially my stomach, as though I have a deep cut at the spot.

Where am I? And why do I feel so much pain in my stomach?

"Anyone there?” I manage to force out the words from my mouth because, as I speak, there is a strong pain that seems to drag my intestines. My stomach squeezes in pain.

“ Hey! Are you finally awake?" I hear a middle-aged man shouting, and when I trace the voice, it seems to be coming from a very distant place.

Wait..

I look around to know where I am, but there is only darkness and nothing more. What happened to me? Why am I here?

The questions swirl in my head, but the more I think about them, the more my head feels as though it’s about to fall out.

I trail my hands around to touch anything so I can identify where I’m at. I feel something like a wall, but when I stretch my hand up, it doesn’t end.
